tryed donut and loged in with my google account..
surfed a bit in donut market and dont know why but the most apps
dont show up

now i returned to ION and when i go to market with my account i cant see the most apps to like in donut ?????
why??? is there solutions ???
i cant change my account .. this is my account for several years ..

strange thing... i tryed market enabler to fake a new provider but with no sucess.. weird.. some new google protection ?
maybe when you log with donut the make a reg with your mail that you have a 1.6 version... and you can only acess 1.6 market with that mail...
and the lack of apps is because the most of them arent 1.6 ready ?
maybe that.. but.. for example handcent sms are already 1.6 ready.. but doenst show ..

i'll take a look at it. i thought craig0rs market fix resolved that issue. maybe it's something with the system-donut-102509.sqsh if the system-htc-donut.sqsh works. i don't know what google is doing maybe they make checks against build types or log different things in the build.prop and keep a black list. i haven't used the market recently but i test each one that i put out with a new account and didn't notice a difference in the amount of apps when i put the newest build up four days ago. i have a build i've been testing that's using cyanogens build.prop and that seems to work so maybe i'll put that up.
anyway you can always start clean and open market and create a new account let everything sync then go home and clear your google apps cache in settings/applications/manage applications/google apps and open gmail and log in with your old account. the market setting should still be intact. other than that i don't know what to tell you as we're not even supposed to be using the market because we're not running genuine android phones.
well i pulled the latest 2 donut builds.
i tryed the craig0r http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=568580 solution but with no sucess.. ill try latter again maybe i missed something... and then ill post
well i have to use a new account for market and the older account for syncro :\

I noticed this as well. I tried using a fresh account that I made on google.com and it still did not give me all the apps. However I cleared all of my cache from google apps (market, gmail, etc.) and then set up a new account using the new account creator when you click on market. WHEN I USED THE ACCOUNT CREATED WITH ANDROID then I had the full list of free apps, Facebook, chompSMS, all of it. Not sure why it is doing that but now I can do everything. I was using the newest donut build on the android google-code. not sure if that helps but if definitely worked for me

doenst help in the fact that if you need to use your older account...
it works with new accounts with no problem...
the problem here is to use your old account dude.,.
Hmm...logged in with another Gmail account, and now everything shows up...downloading what I want, and then I will see what happens when I log back into my main account. Interesting...
Wonder if/wish there was a way to clear Gmail account settings. veewwy swange...

when you log again with your old account apps doesnt there no more lol
but the most strange is that some apps are there and new apps shows every day...
i think they are migrating to this "new system" little by little .. day by day ?
because that screenshots thing and other new stufs
could be ?
dont know the problem is that your account gets flagged some way that you cant use old market no more

I don't know. My main account has been messed up for a while. I just use a totally different account for ion/cupcake builds now. But it's also been confirmed that things go back to normal when using a real non rooted android phone..

I had a Vogue that was running ION and loaded DONUT on it and experienced the Market Apps problem. Verizon warrantied my Vogue out because it had a dead pixel and was under manufacturer's warranty and I loaded ION onto the new one and the full market was back. Throughout the whole affair I used the same Gmail Account, so I'm convinced it's not our Gmail Accounts being tagged but the phone ESN's... this explains why when you move to a Genuine Android Phone the full market comes back as well.

Doesn't explain why market works with a new account on the same phone unless they are tagging your esn to that account.

hum .. if i create a new account in donut the market appears ok ? ..
never tested with a new account in donut...
so if is that.. probably you account get flagged with cupcake and when you log to donut with your account they probably now that you where on a cupcake before and make another flag to your account .. after that your account gets useless in both donut and cupcake..
so .. no way to fake your phone.. because the problem is in the account.. solutions ?
trying to fake our releases to google think that are a real android phone ...

I'm another victim of this bug.
What I noticed also is that the 1.6 Market seems to remember your installs and mine auto-installede apps right after a new data.img was created.
I've posted on Google's forum. Maybe they'll reset my accnt?

Definitely want to hear the resolution on this
Just received my N1 today and the exchange client doesn't seem to work for me, probably due to policy limitations. I went looking for Roadsync in the marketplace but I can't find it. Has anyone else tried this? I was able to pull down documents to go, but searching on Dataviz only brings back docs to go and searching on roadsync doesn't find anything. Am I doing something wrong? Is there any other configuration I need to do in the marketplace other than my google credentials?
Update: Called Dataviz and they are not yet supporting the Nexus One which means it won't show up in the market place.
What about touchdown? I am still waiting on my N1 so I am not sure if they are in the market yet.
Tried searching but there hasn't been an update on this since end of January.
Picasa fails to synchronize with the Gallery application and therefore does not have access to your online web albums. "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." is the description given in the Accounts and Sync section of settings on all users phones that suffer from this problem.
Not sure if i'm allowed to link here but i will temporarily -- http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/android/thread?tid=1b2261084660a1d2&hl=en&start=40 -- (and will remove if necessary) to the google forum thread on this but the answers from Google employees are vague and have been for well over the month the issue has been known.
As this wasn't resolved for non US users, does anybody have any updates, work arounds to solve this issue?

Did you sign up for a Picasa account After you got you N1? If so, you need to wipe your phone. The phone will sync with Picasa after that. My wife had that issue...and wiping the phone worked.

Lemme guess, you have an @googlemail.com account rather than an @gmail.com account?
Google are aware of it though, so should get sorted.

Non US user hence googlemail account. wondered if anyone on here had looked into it and found a way / modded the app / created a different version of gallery etc to sync.

Surely someone can work around this rather than wait for the update to fix this that might never happen, along with proper non us sat nav (licensing issues, i know but come on already!)
My wife and I both have an Evo. We use the same google account on both phones. I rooted them both and bascially "ghosted" them, so whenever I flash a new rom and set it up the way we like it, I just do it to the other one. So besides our background and different cases, the phone mirror each other.
Anyway like I was saying, I had both phones in front of me. I decided to download an app that I would want on my phone, and just when I hit install, my wife's evo started downloading it too. I updated a few apps on mine, and it auto updated hers
I just find that to be awesome!!! Saves me time!

1) How do you handle emails? Do you guys see each others email?
2) You share all contacts? Is that useful? I talk to a lot of people she doesn't and vice versa.
3) Latitude. How do you track her position to make sure she is where she says she is? How does it know which phone to take the location from?
4) If you buy an app on one phone for $, does it load on both?

Well, depending how open or trusting your relationship
First here are the reasons why we do it. It is easier for my wife and I to see our calendar.
There is no PC app that allows me to sync two google calendars with outlook. I do have the google app that does sync, but at the moment it can only sync one google account calendar. Another thing is when I purchase apps, they will be on her Evo too.
Here are the answer to your questions
1.Our primary e-mail is our gmail account, so we we have it on our phones. WHere it is different is why we both have our seperate POP e-mails with comcast. I have my own [email protected], and she has her own comcast email
2.Yes we do. we see eachother's friends on our contacts which we dont mind. Because we guys dont share the same friends, then this may not be the right choice.
3. THat is where we have an issue, havent gotten a chance to play with Lat too much. We want to try to figure it out, where she could find me, and I could find her. Not sure how to mess with that.
4. Answered above. Yes When I buy an app, it automatically downloads to hers once I purchase it.

i found that out when i was upgraded from my droid to my evo. i can still access apps both (the droid is deactivated, but still tied to my google acct).
it's a great feature when you're testing out phones, but it seems like it could be abused easily too.

Here's the official answer from HTC. Their workaround did not work for me however.
There seems to be a miscommunication between Facebook servers and the phone and that causes an inability to sync updates. I do apologize for the inconvenience and we are working with Facebook to determine a fix for our customers. In the mean time, we have found that some customers have had success when editing their work profiles on their Facebook page. If you have added a company and have checked the box next to “I currently work here,” simply add the City / Town of your office. This will allow for HTC Sense to communicate with Facebook without failing. This also applies to education profiles set up on Facebook. Or you can delete the work or education information, and add it back after we have made the appropriate changes to solve this issue.
