My Bell Tab is running on the euro firmware and is working on the telus network as a phone but the ringtone setting is stuck in silent mode?
I have no other options when trying to select a ringtone in the sound setting?
Anyone else had this problem?
Thanks

Same here, No ringtones when receiving a call, no vibration either, its driving me crazy, all I do is just install bunch of basic applications on the Stock firmware, no Roms, no hacks, and of course I know where I can set volume level, and tone type.
I restore factory settings 3 times a day, and spend 3 hours installing everything again. Each time I reduce the amount of appz that I install, but still in vain.
Where the hell the SGT Official website that I can download firmware upgrades from?
I had that problem once, no ringtones while receiving incoming call. Not sure what caused it. But I restored factory settings and it gets back to normal again.
Hello friends! I really hope someone can help me with this issue. My mother has my old Samsung Note 3. For the last couple of weeks anytime she gets a text message the message notification tone plays but so does her incoming call ringtone. On top of that, the call ringtone won't stop playing. We can put the phone on silent but the ringtone won't actually stop until she restarts the phone.
A little background: I had the phone maybe a year before the note 4 came out and I immediately upgraded so she's had the phone I guess maybe two years. My phone was on Verizon. My mom has T-Mobile prepaid service. We've never had any problems until this. Well because she has prepaid she uses a Wi-Fi texting app called TextPlus or something like that. Again never any problems until a couple weeks ago. I asked her if she updated anything, I've checked all of her settings in the phone and the app. I even set the call ringtone to silent and sent a text and it still did it. It's not so much the ringtone as it is that it won't stop. We've even left it sitting for over an hour and it was still ringing.
What can I do to try to fix this? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!
1. Custom ringtones disappear every 1 to 2 days and have to be re-associated. I keep my phone holstered when I'm not at my desk. I like to know who's calling before I answer. Yesterday, was the 3rd time in a week that my ringtones all went to default.
2. Sound on alarms disappears on a regular basis. I had to add vibration to the alarms as backup.
3. Similar to another thread about sound. When I play music on the shower speaker, it gets garbled after ~10 minutes.
I hope that the Samsung devs look at these Forums because I've encountered a bunch of clueless Samsung phone support agents!
Since "upgrading" to Oreo last week, the ringtone on my S7 Edge is now 'ramped', or 'escalating', meaning it starts quietly and fades in to full volume. Is there any way to revert back to the ringtone starting at full volume? I can't find anything in the usual settings.
I hope this isn't another "improvement" that some Android developer has decided we all need, without giving us any option over it.
I recently switched to the LG V20 (T-Mobile) after years of using Galaxy S4/S5.
On the Galaxy phones, I could specify a ringtone file, and it would repeat that sound until I answered the phone.
On the V20, this is not happening; it plays the ringtone *once*, then just stops... meaning that I rarely actually realize that the phone rang!!
Is there some way to change this behavior? I've done a little searching around, but not turned up any solutions yet...
