I got 6.1 down and 3.9 up.

7.2Mbps down and 5.76Mbps up are the NS's maximums.

Thanks ............

not to incite violence in this thread, but if you say you need more than 7.2 and 5.whatthekever then you need to jump off a cliff

I noticed my phone seems to stay on UTMS. Not sure why. Though my phone number also shows unknown...

One of the fastest I've recorded around here. Might try it downtown tomorrow to see if it can go even higher.

it may be slower, if you think about it its a higher trafficked area

here's my results. mine usually sticks to umts but occasionally switches to hspa if I'm in the right area (modaco r6 replaces the 3g with an H). usually doesn't increase the speed noticeably though.

Doesn't mean a thing, networks send out generic SIMs now, and that's why it doesn't have a number programmed in

just got on hspa and got 5640down and 1460up

my highest was:
4818 Down, and 2829 up

My fastest have been 4.2D and 1.8U

My ns at home has gotten up to 6 on bionix and 1.8 up. My former mytouch4g would pull 8 and some change.
I would love if it were possible to hack some driver to pop the radio up to 21mbps. Don't know if its possible but I've heard the radio for 7.2 is the same as 21mbps and that its just modulation that changes. Might explain why the vibrant plus will have the 21mbps capability.

Just hit 3Mbps

for the first time since ive had sprint im getting the speed they've always claimed but ive never reached...im just wondering if anyone in and around pearland can tell me if they have similar speeds....i just know this isnt going to last but still a bit excited my 3g has never reached 3 or even crept past 1
I got 9 down in beverly hills yesterday with 4G, that was cool.
lol im so excited because well i have never seen 3Mbps on 3g on sprint, ive gotten 889kbps at most, i now this wont hold up for very long because if it could my 3g here wouldnt be so shoddy...this whole town is saturated in 4g and i cant get it on my evo for more then a min before losing it and my neighbor who has a franklin 4g stick gets 2bars and 500kbps on 4g...its ridiculous
I used to get 3 mbs down speed at the beginning of last year in the St. Louis area in 3g but its slower now but 4g is about 4.95 down now.

The speed test app isn't very accurate, download xtreme labs test app, its a bit more accurate, speakeasy website I think is better then speedtest.net and just like I figured my 3Mbps over 3g is back down to 600kbps
Best I ever got on 3G was about 2.6mbps. Got a little over 7 on 4G the other day in downtown Houston. Those 10+ speeds are awesome.

Is that with 4G full bars?? thats bad, i get that with 3G in philadelphia, in center city I reached 9mbs early in the morning, then I average 4mbs-7mbs in 4G!!
The 3g in my area always runs at 1.5 to 2.3 but its a small town with not many sprint users.... Sadly I'll probably never see 4g

Good Nexus S review

Best Nexus S review I've seen, but I do have one question. I just assumed the Nex S had hspa+ when I bought it but its stated often in this article that it doesnt. Ive done speedtests in a 4G area mutiple times and I consistantly get 5-7 mb/s which is the same my G2 gets in the same area. So is it just my G2 has a higher potential speed assuming perfect conditions?

yes, the G2 has a higher speed potential the Nexus S supports HSPA 7.2
Exactly. Speed depends not only on your hardware but how much bandwidth is pushed through the towers. So if your area is only allocated 7 mb/s, that's what you'll get even if your phone can do 21 mb/s. Really the only thing that type of speed is good for is tethering. Our browsers will do just fine on 1 mb/s. Now, to go read that review...
The review is alright but I do not like how much focus was on benchmarks, hspa+, and HD video recording.

Yea.. I get like 1.5Mbps on a good day.. Southern California, KA7
Try flashing the KB1 modem. I may not get as good battery as with KA7, but I do get MUCH better data speeds.
My average is 3-4 mbps, on a good day i can get 6 mbps. California area and modem is KA5-KA7.

I'm hearing all of this good stuff about KA5-KA7 modems... How is the battery life and how do they hold 3G? I know that KB1 will hold it for a while, but after it drops to 1 bar, I lose 3G and it drops to EDGE.
Well for me battery is the same with KA5-KB1 modems. But KB1 was really a nightmare for me, a lot of data drops.
I've noticed that with the KB1 modem. I just flashed the KA7 modem, and I'm actually holding data for once.
Here's what i have.

This is on KB1. I generally use KA7 because I work in the boonies and that holds the best signal for me out there. But this is for dang-a-lang swang-a-lang lol.
Here is mine. In McKinney, TX sitting here at work. Funny thing is, if I run this again right after this, I only get 1M down and 500k up? It's never consistent.
This is KB1
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
My best I've ever gotten was 5.38 Mbps download, 3.33 Mbps upload, 85 ms ping on a work trip in Birmingham, AL.
Dropped my jaw. It was FAST.

looks good...either way it helped you out a lot!
No difference for me in dc area.
It's just 3g on steroids
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
In Iowa City, IA, I've been able to get over 5 on a couple attempts since the HSUPA update, but typically average around 4. Definitely an improvement, especially with boosted upload speeds, but still not even close to this phone's capability.
New Port Richey on top (normally 1-1.5 up) and the poor ones were today at lunch in Oldsmar. Always poor there during the day, but can usually get at least 1. I don't think they can handle the traffic.
Mine actually went down when going to 1.8.3, thinking about flashing back to 5.7 and doing the radio mod thingy (so technical) and going back to the average of 4.5mbps. Now I get luckly if I reach 2mbps
While I was tethered last night I recorded speeds of 7.21 D/L and 1.58 U/L. This was in North Jersey.
I get the same speeds as my gf's iphone (1 - 3meg down / 1,2meg up)
So I don't think hspa+ is working yet..

Heh,
I was at my Dad's office scanning and faxing a document for a client through myfax and man I was stuck at 300kb/sec and the total size was about 16MB. Needless to say, it took a while
Two days later I get the Gingerblur'd version of the newest update and I'm hitting 1Mb/sec up and those PDF files weren't too much of a problem.
It really does make a difference.
I am in Harrisburg, PA and I can get speeds up to 6500kbps dl and 2100kbps ul. Very Nice!

Post your mobile data speeds!

I had never been concerned with data speeds on the Moto G, it always just worked and I never had speed issues so I didn't worry about it for the most part. But after doing some testing I'm pretty impressed with the throughput on this device.
Please post your carrier, geographic area, and signal type, strength, and band (use LTE Discovery or SignalCheck Lite)

I"ll have to do a screenshot later but I know I don't approach your best speed. The best I"ve seen is about 45Mbps down and 8 to 10 up. I have AT&T in Greenville, SC and I get my best speeds testing to a Comcast server in Atlanta, GA about 110 miles away. My pings run 89-90 ms. Of course there's so many people here with cell phones and it's just you and that other person in ND isn't it. JK
