im rooted with a stock rom, does anyone know how to flash/install the circle battery icon with the percent in the middle into this rom?
thanks
I would like this tweek / mod too. I liked it in the hero custom roms. I would also just have the circle without percentage in middle of it. Thanks
I see this has made its way onto one of the Desire ROM's, but no sign of a way to apply it on other ROMs?
Anyone know?
I'm also interested,it looks really great.
Just rooted my Desire.

If you PM a Mod maybe they could move this to the right forum and you'll get someone who wants to answer.
Just an idea.

You Sir, have the correct answer.
Many kernals do not support extended batteries.
Hastarin's r7.x has versions that do support them.
On that note, Hastarin's kernals are highly recommended in most of the android build threads.
i have the 2300 mah battery and try to find desire stock rom that works....
the only roms that work are with hastarin 7.7 with robot voice issues and custom
sense i dont like.....
does enyone know a way to make the stock desire rom to work with 2300 mah battery ?
I bought an extended life battery at 2600 mah for the HD2 running darkstone's superram 1.5. This is almost twice the normal battery size yet my battery life seems to be the same. Is their a problem with the battery or should Android be somehow programmed to recognize it?
me too, im using typhoon cm7
Have you checked to see if the included kernel supports extended batteries, official or unofficial???

No that was my point, some kernels will support unofficial batteries but not official. Something from arne should work, I know he has made some 2600 supported kernels.
You can also try the newest rafpigna or tytung kernels. They also have the eb fix with them, credits go to arne.
I understand that there is no firmware to support the official extended life battery?

I respond to you now whilst using the official extended battery, just ticked over 11 hours since charge with light to medium usage including calls YouTube, here, several apps games, 74% left, you sir I challenge to a dual about your understanding!!!!!!
I'm using Super Optimized 2.1 rom and battery life is poor - one day. I'm talking aprox 1h per day, few text messages and reading news once in a while. Also i installed about 30 application, and that's it.
I've noticed that people like the new oxygen rom? Is it fast enough and what about battery life? Also, does it come with data2system?
Thank you!
In general 2.1 ROMs are best for battery. maybe you should calibrate it once.
Oxygen ROM won't have better battery life than 2.1 ..
If you want to have much space for apps, try mur4ik bootloader builder. With that u don't need a special d2s version

For me after many rom ,the better for battery is Froyo optimum 5 ,not the 6 because it's not tweaked

Did you try it? What about battery life, stability? Is it fast?
No, i did't. I will wait non data2sys version and than i will try it.

I'm using 2.3.7 ASIS by Mur4ik and it also drains battery, but it can last like 2 days with regular usage...texting, music, apps (no games). Also, it's overclocked on min 825MHz/max 825MHz so if it was 250/600 it would probably last longer
