I have updated the tmobile rom using the K-JAM_WWE_216901_2169101_020710_ship.exe rom. Everything seems ok apart from the fact that i can send mms messages
I am using the setup for tmobile connections and the internet works fine. When i click send for mms it automatically states that unable to send your messages your message will remain in the outbox!
any ideas?? Thanks in advance
you need to setup mms configuration, search for MMS settings.
sorry i dont know the settings but they are available on the forum.
good luck

sending size limitation: 100k
WAP version: WAP 1.2
still not working, dowsnt even seem to attempt to connect automatically comes up with the unable to message!!!
You dont say your location but my uk settings are
Server name: T-Mobile UK
Gateway: 149.254.201.135
Port No: 8080
Server address:http://mmsc.t-mobile.co.uk:8002/
Connect via: T-Mobile Internet
Sending size: 100k
Wap version: 2.0
They are the bog standard settings preloaded
Hope this helps
i'm on O2 paygo and have to use the wap network to get my mms to work, this maybe different for tmobile.
there may be some cab files on the ftp to help get the settings working.
i've just upgraded my rom so need to do this myself but for O2.
good luck if you find a solution please post it to help other tmob users
regards
Rob
guys many thanks for your advice, checked my settings and it appears i had location work nettwork selected - i think this may have been installed from the tmobile cab settings - i changed that to the internet and now i can receive mms - havent tested send yet but assume it will be ok!

i've had same problem few days ago, despite i didn't change anything ins MMS settings. i've had to reenter and confirm the same settings again and it just started work fine.
glad u got it sorted
I can again no longer send mms. I have reverted to a previous backup i had and can no longer send mms. I checked all my settings and they were as above - the settings that worked previously - I have definately got The Internet selected for connecttion. I have also tried demoniks settings for tmobile and stil no joy! the strange thing is i can receive messages just cant send any! Any ideas woudl be greatly appreciated!
may not be relevant but a recent Atom ROM upgrade messed up MMS sending but only
if you insert the contact, if you manually type the number to send to it works.
cheers mate for the response. I tried that but i still get the unable to send error! This is the most buggy phone i have ever had! It is a really good phone but appears to have so many issues!! Its a full time job trying to get fixes for it! I have three issues at present:-
1) No sound when SMS is received
2) Wont turn on at certain times
3) MMS wont send
does anyone have a handset anda build with no bugs?????
What's up with that?
It used to work fine and I used to be able to view the MMS on my phone.
Now I have to visit the T Mobile website, logon usng the password supplied and then view it.
Did T Mobile change something?
Or did I?
The only changes I made to my MDA Vario was that I installed the latest version of the ROM and stopped the custom T-Mobile install by rebooting it before it started doing it.
What am I missing? Do I need to conact T Mobile to activate it or... ? Do I need to install some CAB from the Extended ROM? If so, which one?
Thanks.
Nevermind, fixed now.
Need to enable "Download on home network only" and it will deliver to your phone and not to a website.
MMS Messages not being delivered
I had that exact same problem the day I came back from Ireland.
I hadn't done a thing to the phone as had been receiving MMS messages whilst in Ireland (nice and expensive!).
The phone came up with "receiving MMS Message" - but failed every time.
Looking in the log files, there was an error code..
I tried the new T-Mobile ROM and it didn't help.
Sent a message to T-Mobile Customer Services explaining the error and giving theme the error code(s) in the log files - they replied saying "we couldn't find anything wrong" - but it was suddenly fixed !!!!! hmmm.
Contact T-Mobile ask them to look into it.. probably a setting on your account.

How did you get to enabling to 'Download to home network' option so that MMS messages come to your phone directly rather than website?
Sorry if this is a dumb question but I have searched using various phrases and keywords but couldn't find anything.
I have tried enabling MMS on my Kaiser for Vodafone UK Contract phones. I have followed a guide I found on the Vodafone eForum (http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=8038&hl=MMS+HTC) plus similar guides I found elsewhere. It all looks good, however when I attempt to send an MMS is starts - GPRS connection gets connected and the message sends as far as 99% and then fails and constantly retries. I also cannot receive MMS messages, I just get a text message saying I have received a picture message and it gives me a URL (http://www.vodafone.co.uk/getmyphoto) and a password. I have been through the troubleshooting guide on Vodafones website but it wasn't any help. It has just occured to me that it may be a feature that needs enabling on my Vodafone account. So does anyone know if this is the case or should it just work?
yes it does
that and the correct network setup have to be
added to the phone and mms composer

OK. So tomorrow I should phone Vodafone customer services on 191 and ask whether MMS is enabled?
Hello!
I've recently aquired the new HTC HD2, and some problems have occured. I can't find a proper setup for MMS, and the autosetup from my provider (Tele2 in Norway) does not have setup. When I try to send MMS, I get the error "Unable to send the MMS" or something like that after some minutes. My old HTC HD managed to send and receive MMS on Tele2, probably because it was running WM 6.1.
Can somebody please help me get this crap right?
Cheers

Same problem here in Switzerland with Swisscom carrier
No automatic setup via operator network. With the HD, the setup was downloaded automatically to my phone the first time I was connected to the home network...
This is a pity...
Hi I’m new to the forum so forgive me if this is in the wrong place .Anyway I’ve got an expera x10 and the wife’s got an htc Hero we live in South Africa and are on the same network Vodacom(Vodafone) both of us can send and receive MMS with friends and family which include LG’s, Nokia’s and BB .Now here’s the strange part i can get mms’s from the Hero to my x10 but when i send an mms to the hero from the x10 all you get is an download icon and all it downloads is a grey screen. I searched the web but couldn’t find anything related. As usual nobody at Vodacom have a clue what’s going on and I wonder if someone out there can help please ???????
Not really too sure about the technical details of the X10 and the Hero. But can it be the MMS size? I know some handsets are limited to downloading a maximum size of 300kb.
Have you tried sending a smaller MMS?
Just tested sending a camera photo from the X10 to a Hero and it worked. Both handsets were on the same network.
So it shouldn't be a handset issue. Could be a network issue. By the way, the MMS size limitation can also be controlled by the network.
I posted about my MMS problem & some others memners as well, we didn't get any answer
I can't send or recieve MMS with X10. Yess, MMS settings are installed & every time i installed MMS-settings, i can send or recieve just 1 MMS. Trying sending more or recieving, mobile keep sending or downloading in many hours but MMS is being never sent or recieved
Since you are able to send/receive one MMS message successfully, then it's not a problem with your settings. I'm assuming that "MMS & data" are enabled and your APN is set correctly.
When you say that any more MMS are never being sent or received, is this fixed by restarting the handset? Or have you never been able to send any more MMS since the first one?
Unfortunately, so far there are only two options:
1) Reset/Reinstall the handset and hope for the best. If this doesn't fix the problem, then the problem should be with the network provider.
2) Contact your operator. They should be able to trace the MMS message and the error log in their MMSC.
Sorry if that's not of any help.
