Thats what I hate about all these FREE TV/MOVIES links I run into, is ya gotta jump through so many hoops, watch, click thru so many ads, by the time you get to the meat and potatoes, hell, you could have driven home and watched whatever on your big screen, real TV. And yeah, even Zoomed out the links are still tiny and close together.
But then there's always the possibility i'm a moron and don't understand how to shortcut through all the crap.

Megavideo no good unless you have a paid account. Otherwise it only lets you watch for a certain amount of time then you have to wait before you can resume watching. This site used to be the best until megavideo took it over. Try movie25.com or project tv. Both sites have the latest movies. Set your plugin to on demand when using these sites to block all the popups. If popup comes hit back button or close it to get to the video. Yes it does require going through a few hoops, but once your on these steeams are decent, no lag and offer different links. If you want live tv that will play over 25 premium USA channels in way better quality then MOBITV which only offers 5 or 6 live channels, then check out 1tvpc.com great site with easy access to favorite channels set on your Nexus one homescreen. TNT USA TBS DISCOVERY ESPN ESPN2 FX FOX NEWS MSNBC CNN FOOD CH. SPIKE TRUTV CBS NBC ABC COMEDY CENTRAL GOLF CHANNEL HISTORY CH. CARTOON NETWORK WEATHER CH. MTV CW DISNEY AND NIK....I've had membership for a few days now and all is well. They are legit and have good support when channels go down temporarily. They get them up in working quickly. Bleh, I decided to try this again, first two movies I tried were not available for X reason, next one I was redirected to login at some other site, (is this how its supposed to work? I honesty don't know) next movie redirected again. Fifth try seemed to work as advertised push green button movie plays, however it was choppy and constantly buffering.
I wish this worked as easily for me as it seems to for you, but i'm with the other guy, netflix needs to come up with an app, i'd gladly pay to push a button, watch a movie.
Having said that, whenever I see another link I haven't tried before, by golly i'll try again.

There you go. Best of the best for movie sites I found. I watched the entire movie Inception on my nexus at full screen using the second link. However it is available first link too just not full screen. and when I say full screen I mean entire screen used by clicking on full screen icon. Now say thank you.

PS: I also streamed a basketball game with no problem either. I forget what flash video player the site used, but the link was at ATDHE.net. Simply remarkable what this phone can do...

Yes sir. Adobe Flash 10.1 + Froyo = whole new ballgame. Now we have way more options. No need to get robbed by MOBITV anymore.

So, last night I decided to givemedia hub a whirl and downloaded 300 and watched the whole movie on the phone and I never realized how good this phones screen is for HD. It looks better than my tv.
But anyways, riht after the movie was done, I downloaded and watched V for Vendetta and fell asleep afterwards without charging, and right now I'm at 13hr 34min with screen on time of 5hr and 43 minutes.
Id say this phone handles media playback quite well lol

Yeah its good to watch movies on this screen.I downloaded about 5 from media hub sofar.Dont forget the files are stored on your sdcard,I had to delete them manually for some reason.
I love using the tv.com app and watching STAR TREK: TOS episodes. Anytime they use a communicator, I feel a tremendous inner geek fire and oh how warm it is. Heh heh.
veoh.com/iphone is high on my list,that and I rip alot of movies to the phone in high qulity,about 1.3gb on most hour and a half movies.
I also highly recommend : Droid Streamer
it's free on the market and streams tv shows, movies, and anime @ 480i compressed. There's a Pro version, but i dont know what features you get with that.

I wouldn't call droid steamer nice per se, but it is free and gets the job done when bored, altho the dev. needs to use a better player that can do aspect ratios.
Do Media Hub movies play @ 720p for 1gb -/+ files?
I think they are 720p native.
now if we could just find something that will allow us tpo play them through allshare woudl be great, i hate allshare can never get it to play any damn video
I use double twist for my player. Keep my music playlists there and watch TV shows and moveis with it. I transfer movies and shows from my pc to my sd card on my phone. And yes, it HD looks fantastic on Super AMOLED. It's the best screen I've seen on a phone

One cool feature i like is it lets you airsync your andriod to your itunes player. Do you know of a app that's similar to this but streams to WMP or VLC player?
Does anyone know of any apps like itunes that provide movie and music downloads that work on the xoom? Buddy of mine got one and he's complaining lol he was an apple head so he's starting to notice the few things that apple actually does well. Like the.itunes store.

As far as music, Amazon just released their cloud music service. You can buy purchase music and store all your music in a cloud and listen to it from web browser on your pc or mac or android devices/blackberry. Its pretty sweet. For music this is pretty much on par with Itunes if not better because of the cloud offerings. I have a video overview of that here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEZ9gy3USno
As far as video, there are kinda 'loops' now. Although if you are an Amazon Prime member you can stream movies and tv shows from their streaming service, similar to netflix but not as wide of a selection. The apps blackbeltrk mentioned are sweet. The only other app I have to add is Slingplayer, but this also requires a Slingbox as hardware. This doesn't really differentiate the Xoom from the IPad because you can do this on the Ipad as well, but it enables you to hook a slingbox to your TV,Computer,Xbox, Wii, Roku, ect.... and watch from them remotely. Its a pretty sweet setup and being able to hook your Xoom to a friend's TV or Projector means you essentially have a portable cable box . This also means you could hook up a video device that plays Netflix to your Slingbox and watch Netflix from it. I have had the stock 101 from day one, installed all updates and find it to be a fairly good unit for a number of things except video playback. Not sure where the problem originates but this tab is useless for video playback. I am astounded on bad this tab operates. I consider it useless in its current state. I purchased the unit to read books surf and play videos nothing else. It can do the first two fairly well. I have tried just about everything that previous posts have recommended to no avail. Creating directories on the external SD card that disappear. It sometimes plays the video other times it will not. I have owned a few tabs and I consider this one to be the poorest one yet. I would not recommend the 101 to anyone that wants to watch videos without having to piss around to make the 101 operate as it should. This unit should be able to play most video types without having to resort to apps that trick it to work. I will now shut this thing down and not use it anymore. For me it is truly not worth the money I paid for it. This should never have been released to the public
I will fire up my Archos 101 and watch all of the same videos until I cannot stand it anymore. The 101 has no real video playback issues other than it does not support flash he last time I checked. It has its own flaws but it video playback is not one of them.
I really like the TF101 but I cannot overlook its clearly unstable, amazingly childish and poorly thought out video playback section. It is stock and I have not messed with it. I am not interested in spending countless hours conducting surgery on it to make it work. This tab should be able to play most videos out of the box.
My dislike for apple is slowly but surely being eroded with products such as the TF101.
ASUS or Android, you have a problem with your product. Fix it!

Divx : try mx video player it's a good player and it's free
Mkv : diceplayer, paid app.
Btw : do you think you can play divx videos on the ipad out of the box ? The answer is no, so it's not better than the transformer for that purpose. And it doesn't have flash player.
Edit : the transformer can play wmv hd out of the box with honeycomb 3.2. What do you think about that ?

Is that hard for you to just install an application ? If so it's also hard to transfer your videos on the tf. Then you shouldn't watch them.
Well, I hope you got that rant out of your system, because it wasn't really helpful to anyone but you. You could've summed it all up in one sentence: "Personally, I don't recommend the TF for playing videos."
I have an Archos 101 as well, and it does play video very well, because Archos is a media player company. They always have been. They paid extra for all those codecs, and skimped out on everything else. Asus made a tablet, Archos made a media player. Don't compare them.
And for the record, Diceplayer has played every file I've thrown at it. The AC3 codec pack for the Archos was $15, and it only enabled 2 or 3 new codecs. Diceplayer is $6 and it plays almost all codecs.
P.S. I still don't see how this relates to apple. Apple only supports MP4 and MOV. And if you use MOV, you probably still have an AOL account.
P.P.S. Also, what do you mean by "serious video problems"? It says in the specs what codecs it supports, and it plays them perfectly. I think you got spoiled by Archos, and thought every Android device had infinite codec support.

I was not knowingly ranting. I just lay it out on the line. I failed at diplomacy 101. Tell it like it is. But I do expect value for money. Can't say I got that with the TF101 for what I want it to do. I have 4 pc's at home. Just want to surf and watch video on a small form factor. I think many people buy a tab for just what I am doing otherwise just use your PC. I guess I really do not understand what a tab is used for.
I am aware the differences the between the two brands. I am not sure if skimped out is the right term. The Archos is 100 less. I a not expecting it to perform like the TF101. But for that 100 I should get a fully functional video player. For 400 it should work out of the box. Remember the price of a PC's is comparable. Maybe I should not expect much for 400.

I stand corrected. Very serious problems was the wrong term to use. Maybe something like " 400 spent and it cannot play the most common video formats, go figure".
I still think it is a firmware problem that should never have been. Not sure if it is a hardware problem, too many inconsistencies with on again off again performance. There are too many posts out there regarding this problem for it to be a non issue or operator error.
Your right, I did get spoiled by a somewhat inferior product. It is not very often less gets more. They are meant to do the same thing, with different quality of bits.

You ***** and moan about having to use a program to watch video on your TF, but any of your "4" pc's are going to be the same. I find this highly entertaining. Also, you waste all this time trying things, and writing your snooty thread, that you could have spent doing a basic search to see which formats and programs work best.

i have issues with mkv files in hardware decoding, it plays plays great but sound goes out after a min of playback on all players. But software decode they play fine. Give it time this tab is still a baby. It will keep growing, or so i hope

No need to convert your downloaded videos, if you REALLY have problem, then you are the only one. Like everybody said : mxplayer or the player you mention (except daroon because it doesn't use third party codecs I think) should just do fine for divx. Sure the transformer have flaws but playing divx is not one of them.
Like you said you should RMA it if you're not satisfied. I don't know why you bought a transformer if the only thing you want is a media player, you should have kept the archos. But of course you won't have the nice screen of the asus.

I dumped my iPad1 to pick up the N7 (love it, despite being on my 3rd, soon to be 4th, because I keep getting N7's the fracking annoying screen separation).
Just wondering if there's a cheap, good quality, android equivalent to what I was using on the iPad to stream videos from my media computer to my tablet. I used to use Air Video Server. So if anyone can point me in a good direction, I'd appreciate it!

I've tried plex before. HUGE resource hog on your media computer (couple hundred MB footprint). Any other servers? What I liked about AVS was that server application was really lightweight.

And oh wow, I just tried it again (it HAD been a while, so I figured I'd give it another shot). It's absolutely horrendous. Media management is a ****ing joke, scanners can't find files if in certain layouts, and it's slow. I will however say that they worked on the weight a bit, though still heavy, chugging ~174MB of ram.

The "Mirage" player works with Air Video!

You can search for computers on your network, add them and them stream all the content you like using a video player. I use BS Player

I use I media share to connect through WIFI to my XBMC running on my tv... I have 800 plus blueray rips. and tv shows. between the wifes ipad and my nexus i can stream anything from it.. works like a champ..

Bubble uPnP as the client and just the uPNP parts of windows. I use it to stream video, photos and music from a NAS drive and before that my PC (Windows 7). With MX Player Pro to do the actual playing I have no problems at all. There are a few uPnP servers - Twonky is one I've used too.

This. Emit is awesome and simple.
I have played with a lot of the servers and I keep coming back to Emit. It is not the highest quality, but it is a small footprint and it is very reliable. When local I have recently been testing out using Bubblepnp to connect to my plex server and then play the video with whatever my player of choice is, Dice, BS etc and that is putting out some really quality results for me so far. I just wish I could use the PS3 Media Server to transcode to my Nexus 7, but no luck as of yet.

Doesn't play on Jellybean, crashes in SW mode, and just has a loading icon that goes on forever and ever and ever in HW mode.
