[WIDGET IDEA] Viewing App as a Fullscreen Widget - Android Software Development

Any takers for this one? Just a suggestion I'm throwing out there
I use this G-Remote App regularly to control my Media Centre TV from my sofa (great app by the way!)

As an alternative to clicking the App Icon, I think it would be great if I could just swipe to one of my homescreens, and see the App displayed in full-view, or within a full-screen widget box. I could see this also being useful for Apps such as Google Maps, maybe V-Player (video player), e-book readers etc.
There's probably some technicalities which would veto the idea, such as resizing issues, but I thought I'd throw it out there, if anyone was looking for a project!
Bests,
Edd

I too would like something like this for a weather application...
create a widget on a screen that shows animated weather (beautiful widgets or fancy widget) rather than opening the app separately...

DnP Weather Question

All, I'm pretty far along with a program I'm developing for release on this board (DnP - Dock-n-Play) that plays an animated today screen with TF3D style Clock, Weather Icon, tasks and notifications while docked and on power -- the normal state for my phone while I'm at work is to have it craddled (docked) next to my monitor. When undocked the program auto-terminates -- although a daemon continues to run in background to relaunch should you re-dock.
I want to have an option to display the current weather as an icon similar to the good work A_C does with his fantastic S2U2 aaplication... I have sample code for pulling weather from a number of sources so that is not the issue... what I need is how to find (in the registry I'm assuming) of what the currently displayed weather location is in TouchFlow3d.
If anyone knows the key to getting to this information can you please respond. -Thx

Beautiful Widgets - Clock, weather, battery, and utility widgets. Hundreds of configurations
Desktop VisualizeR - Allows you change icons. I use iconfinder.com to find icon sets and then use visualizer to link them to programs and remove the text. About 6 different sized widgets.
PowerAmp Widget looks like an MP3 player on your desktop. Plus it has an equalizer that makes the music unbelievable. It has 4 or 5 widget sizes.

[REQUEST] App for honeycomb to remove google searchbar widget from desktop.

Ever since I first got my transformer I've wanted the google search / voice command bar in the top left hand corner of honeycomb's desktop to be gone, but there's been no quick way to remove it.
Picture for reference:

Anyone up for the task?
It's not possible to do that, sorry. It's built into the OS code. If you're rooted, you can remove it but it won't give you extra homescreen space anyway.
Except for the Google music widget

Have a look at using another launcher. ADW or Launcherpro are good ones and very customizable.

If you're rooted, you can remove it...how?

Lockscreen Music Overlay

Hey all,
Attached is a picture of the lockscreen music controls widget that appears when audio is playing.
As great as it is to be able to see and change songs from the lockscreen, there's the terrible, semi-transparent black overlay.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Now, I know this isn't device/rom specific (Same issue on my Note, Note 2 and Note 10.1 across both TW and AOSP/CM), but I'm looking for a way to modify the overlay, to make it completely transparent.
It seems pointless to even have the album art displayed if it's barely visible.
Any help would be excellent.
Thanks.

Well none of my installed widgets (non stock) had that overlay in fact my problem was that the widget (DashClock widget) background was completely transparent. Probably the developers need to implement/tweak options to modify widget look.

What weather widget is this?

I've had that before. I can't remember how. I'm looking through all my account apps to see. I've never used hd widgets or kairo as far as I remember.
Edit: Sorry I've looked and looked but can't remember how I got that widget before. What video is that from?
Edit 2: Meh I give up. Must have been hd widgets, kairo or kairo xp skin as mentioned since it's the closest your going to get.
