I've flashed a NAND Android rom without a dutch dictionary.. anyone an idea how fix this?
Would like to know this as well...
I think we'll have to wait until someone is kind enough to add dutch language to an android build. I don't have the knowledge....
You could just use an app for this. I use swiftkey.

Hi fellow xda users, this is my first question ever on xda.
As I'm running ROM of CyanogenMod v4.2.5 for the HTC Magic (PVT32B) I also installed HTC_IME.
And only the English dictionary was available for the HTC_IME keyboard.
I couldn't find a way to add other language dictionaries as they were actually already installed but on default disabled on a ROM.
I figured out to apply "nl" to Custom Locale to have a Dutch dictionary, that worked all fine. But it also effects language on some applications like AdvancedLauncher. A lot is mixed up with Dutch and English language, I know this isn't a big deal but I like things clean.
So is there a HTC_IME which includes all languages in the list?
Thanks in advance.
Nobody has a solution?
Hi,
I want to find a fast ROM for my gear (Sapphire 32A, HTC Magic). I am not sure if an English version of ROM suitable to work with Chinese applications, especially Chinese Input Method?
Thanks.

They should be as long as you got the HTC_CIME i think is the name of the chinese one.
Anyway, the real question is: Are the Chinese applications suitable for english version ROM

What is HTC_CIME? Is it a specific ROM version? And, could you tell me how can I find out what version of ROM is on my phone?
Thanks.

HTC_CIME is HTC chinese input method editor (or something like that ) it exist as HTC_CIME.apk
So try to search but HTC_CIME.apk around the forum, not sure all roms will work with this if not i bet there is an default android CIME. But read several places that this is working on some of the no-sense roms released here on xda.
Since i'm not Chinese or even know the language i never had any use for it so don't know much about it either. Don't flame me if i'm wrong, just trying to help giving you some words there might help you in your search for a solution

Thank you anyway. But you still not tell that how do I know what is the version of ROM currently running on my phone? For example, you know yours is "CursorSense32A-1.2.6.1".
Narkewoody: the easiest way to use Chinese applications or see Chinese characters is for you to install an add-on program, such as CE-Star or Monster Chinese. The downside of doing it is that certain system-related prompts will be shown in Chinese, as opposed to English. Let me know if this doesn't make sense. You may also want to go to the CE-Star and Monster Chinese websites and take a look. Good luck.
Hey! I just got a T-Mo HD2 and wondered if there was a way of changing the interace language? I'd like to change it to spanish. I know you can change the language of the Sense UI but is there a way of changing it to the whole OS? So far I couldn't find any.
I've read about ROMs but there's so many of them! I wouldn't mind loading a custom ROM but only if it is as close to the stock software as possile. Sorry if I'm being a little too picky .

I don't think so.

Some developers leave that stuff out because the file space is a little tight. What rom is this, as a warning to others needing that language?
Go to the market and see if the more locale app will give you your language.
I have the same issue. I tried both roto-jmi and r1 modaco custom and i lost my original input methods. More locale seems to only allow me to change the os language but it does not allow me to change the input language.
It would be extremely helpful if someone could chime in and help identify the language input packages.

I flashed JMG, and JMI, but went back to JME v.4 for the languages. With previous phones I have removed the swype language locale from the old rom and moved it into the new rom. I searched xda for a while until I found out how.
You can get a keyboard app from the market, maybe you can get your preferred language.
Thx for the info. If you happend across that thread would you mind sending the link my way. Otherwise it looks like I need to spend more time digging.
Cheers
