Back to Stock? - Wildfire General

Hey guys
I'm just wondering if there is anyway back to have a stock Wildfire? I don't want to sell it. But I just don't need custom anymore.
greetings

Get a RUU from Shipped ROM's, install HTC Sync on your PC, COnnect your Wildfire to your PC in HTC Sync Mode, and, run the RUU file on your PC.

Does it work with Froyo 2.2 ? I mean, will it back to factory 2.1 or just erase all data and will stay 2.2?

Problem flashing back to Stock 2.1 Rom

Hello guys,
I am trying to flash back to the sprint stock 2.1 rom (using the sprint RUU)...I'm currently on Fresh 2.1.1.
Everytime I run the current Sprint RUU I get some errors... see attached images
I am trying to sell my hero and I need to flash back to stock!!!
For the love of God, Help me someone
Thanks in advance
not exactly sure
my vote goes to flashing another ROM and trying again, or maybe you need to turn off debugging mode, or if its on, try turning it off and running the RUU again...
Let it error, close ruu. Leave the phone alone and re run ruu.

Thanks for the help guys...
This is how I finally fixed the problem... I used another computer that had Windows Vista 32bit and it worked beautifully.... The other one had Windows 7 64 bit, so I guess it was a drivers issue...
Anyways, thanks again for the suggestions, my Hero is on the market

Help with unrooting

first, yes i know how to search!
i've found out that when you want to unroot your phone you have to do it using ruu's.
how do i know wich Ruu i should use?
when i install the Ruu, is it just like installing a new rom using clockwork?
and when i've installed the Ruu how do i uninstall clockwork and all the other things that comes with the root?
i am currently using the standard 2.1 update 1 rom for wildfire (original rom)
if you plan not to do rooting and flashing anymore, just update to 2.2. Everything will get original, but you will lose the opportunity to root it again. Otherwise, flash a kinda of unroot image, which comes with unrevoked, i didn't hear about it anyway. Try yourself.
To install the RUU, Download it (It will be an EXE File), install HTC Sync on your PC, Connect your device, and, run it. You will lose Clockworkmod and all root associated apps and priveleges when you unroot it.
First check that you can root your phone.
If you already have Froyo installed on your phone then you will have the new Hboot.
If can root use the old unbranded Eclair Ruu from shipped rom's.
It's in the guide (turkeys guide i think) stickyd at the top of the page.
I also want to go back to using stock ROMs. Froyo actually. The only reason I rooted was to gain app2sd facility which was not there in Eclair.
Now that Froyo is out for wildfire spare me the unstable ROMs. I will go for the Stock one.
I have the RUU for my mobile. But When I run it from PC, I get cannot upgrade your phone. I understand this is because I am having a custom recovery (Mine is ClockworkRecovery).
Now can anyone tell how I can get the stock Froyo ?
Do I need to get the stock recovery back ? Is there a bypass for this ?
Or is there a .zip file intead of RUU.exe files for Stock Froyo ?

[Q] Rom flashing problems

Would anybody tell me that how can I flash back my gsm hero to the real official android 2.1 rom, after flashed the unofficial rom? Thanks
http://www.villainrom.co.uk/forum/showthread.php/1876-Stock-GSM-HTC-Hero-2.1-Update-Files-here! is the 2.1 rom from htc but root
do mean going back stock unrooted
first go and flash a sense rom
next download htc sync http://www.htc.com/uk/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=283&cat=3&dl_id=1073 install it
next download the ruu http://www.htc.com/uk/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=283&act=sd&cat=all the ruu are 1.5(cupcake)
next connect your usb to your computer
then it sould give you some opinion choose teh htc sync opinion
next run the ruu and you should be back unroot
when boot it should say there is an update
after that update is finished and your phone is boot system software update it should then download the update for 2.1
after it finishs downloading it should tell you to install it if not go it to settings about phone system software update

[Q] problems with unrooting

Dear xda forum users,
I've been trying to unroot my desire z with cyanogen mod 7.1.0, because it has a faulty touch screen and I need to send it in to be repaired. I followed the unrooting instructions on the wiki http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=HTC_Vision
This seems to have worked, unfortunately I did not consider that this would leave me with the stock google android that the Desire Z is shipped with in the US. I got my phone in Switzerland so I need to revert to stock Sense.
I tried using the RUUs on http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Vision
versions
RUU_Vision_HTC_WWE_1.34.405.5_Radio_12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26_M_release_155556_signed.exe
and
RUU_Vision_HTC_WWE_1.72.405.2_Radio_12.28e.60.140f_26.04.02.17_M2_release_160660_signed.exe
but I always just get the error the HTC programme can't connect to the phone via USB. I can mount the phone and all that, so the USB connection can't really be the problem.
I also tried rerooting and manually installing sense roms, but now when ever I install a new rom, the install seems to work but the phone won't boot anymore. The only way of rescuing the phone from that state (that I found at least) was reinstalling the stock anroid rom I was trying to get away from.
Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong?
