[Q] Unable to launch HTC Sense - HD Mini General

Hello,
after a failed clearRAM operation, my phone is not able to lauch the HTC sense interface when the device is rebooting. I have to force it (somehow).
I found on the net some solution for the HTC HD2, but is there a way to restore the normal enviroment without a reset for the HTC HD mini?
Thanks in advance.

I've had this kind of experience.
Go to Settings > Home.
Click on "Items" tab.
Scroll down the list and check the box of "HTC Sense".
Click Done.

Dialer and start menu from touch pro 2

I tried itje's 4.0rc3.1 and it is awsome. For me not ready for daily use though. Question, is there a cab for the new dialer (because it works flawlessly in landscape unlike the blackstone one). Also, can the new start menu be used without TF3D? Is there a cab for that, or does that come with TF3D 2? How about the youtube from the TP2? I am guessing/hoping that has landscape support.
bumping this up - have the same question A cab would be awesome

To answer my own question, it does come from TF3D. The programs tab from TF3D has become the new start menu. It is possible to revert to the old start menu and reinstate the programs tab. Also, if you disable TF3D, old start menu comes back.

So I would have to install the new TF3D(from Rhodium) to get this running, right?

Yes, install and you must enable it.
What about the dialer? Could that be available as a cab install for Xperia R2A stock ROM?
Does anyone know about any other way to set the start menu to display a bigger menu - easier to tap while driving - then the enlarged menu?
Thanks

Disabling HTC Sense gives me a big powersave

Is it just me or is HTC's Sense not that great?
I tried disabling it for today and as I am writing this I still have 70% power (from full this morning) compared to max 50% the other days at this time, with Sense on.
Also I think it has actually made the slow sms load alot quicker so that I can answer almost instantly! (have only tested with about 50 sms's on a contact)
If this is the case I sure hope HTC will come with a big update soon.
I find the same on my Touch Diamond. By disabling Touchflo 3d the battery can make it through the day!

Go to settings tab, Menu, All Settings, Today, and Items tab.
HTC Sense is at the bottom there. Untick it. If you're gonna do that, I recommend you turn on Windows Default (at the top of the list), which is their "Titanium" UI. It's quite nice, but no Sense.

SPB Mobile Shell 3.0 (or 3.5)
The Sense did not even last 1hr after i got it. No LAG, No Sluggish Programs!
Just Smooooth Scrolling!!

Settings link to standard Windows settings screen

When HTC Sense is enabled the "settings" link in the program screen is linked to the settings tab/pane in HTC Sense. When Sense is turned off in the Today-settings, the same link points to the standard setting screen of windows mobile.
What I want is to make the "settings" link in the program screen to point directly to the standard windows settings (used to be "control panel), or better yet: a standalone HTC settings app then can run outside the Sense environment.
Why? I want to turn of the settings tab in the HTC Sense interface. Something that easily can be done by editing the registry. This way I can manage to minimalize the amount of tabs to 5. Just enough to prevent the disorienting scrolling to the left and the right when selecting a tab.
Can it be done? Is there an easy way to open the windows settings screen while Sense is enabled?
Thanks
You should try BsB Tweaks, one of it's options does just that.

Is there a way how to set it through registry instead of installing a special app on that? Thanks

Thank you!!!! Just what i was looking for....
For who wants to know:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\Configuration\12
Setting Enable to 0 hides the Settings panel in Sense.

BsB Tweaks does much more than just this.....Just check out the page and you will find that BsB Tweaks is a MUST HAVE App
Besides lots of tweaks it also makes it easy for you to Add Rotation for programs that do not automatically rotate, and/or add Pinch-to-zoom for programs that by themselves do not support pinch-to-zoom.
If you don't want to install the app, you could ask makeveral how he does the settings Tweak (I wouldn't know).
Pappagallo: Ok, thanks for tip.

Set this to zero:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo:HideSettings
and reset.
But there will be two identical icons for Settings after this. You can delete settings.lnk from the Start Menu to get rid of the HTC Settings.

That's fantastic. Now do you have any idea how to create a quicklink to the new windows settings? Can't find it for the life of me...
yes. noob here. All the *setting*.ink's i can find lead back to the sense settings, or handle different/specific settings entirely.
