I don't know about that issue myself, so if I came across that same problem I'd have to use the search option. Did you try and see if anyone else has had the same problem?
i try to find something but i cant' find that someone else have the same problem.
wow man! reviving a thread from mid-2010! you have every right to revive it because it is your thread and you couldn't find a solution to your first problem.
but i am confused! its been more than 6 months since you reported the problem. how come you haven't tried a newer ROM? v1.43 and v1.48 are very very very old! latest is v3.14, try it and let us know if it fixes your problem. if you have a T-Mobile HD2 or a branded HD2 (vodafone, etc), then choose a latest official ROM appropriately.
good luck!

that was when i open thread now i have 3.14 ROM also i was at 1.72 ROM ...but still the same maybe i need to try with android.iIf i don't find any solution i'll try that
aah ok so you have tried the latest ROMs...so you see how it can help us and save all of our time if you post more information instead of copy/pasting the old version of the question from mid-2010?
here are some more things to try to isolate the cause of the problem:
1. try your device on some OTHER wifi network, e.g. at your friend's house or in a coffee shop, etc. does the wifi hang on ANY wifi network or just the one at your house, for example...?
2. when the wifi dies, leave it DEAD, do not disconnect/reconnect wifi. try to ping your HD2 from your desktop/laptop, assuming all devices and computers that you own are on the same wifi network. tell us what happens.
3. same as step 2, there are some programs for windows mobile that you can run on your HD2 to see your device's IP assignments, etc. such tools can also be used to ping your desktop/laptop from your HD2. i think one program that can do such things is "network browser". tell us what it shows regarding network card information BEFORE your wifi dies as well as AFTER your wifi dies. also tell us if you can ping your desktop/laptop from your HD2 after your wifi appears dead.
4. does it make any improvement if you run your wifi on "best performance" instead of "best battery". note that "best battery" is the default setting which can cause reception issues in case the wifi signal is weak.
5. yes! certainly try android, it should help isolate the problem further to confirm/deny if it is a hardware problem. but you should know that your device's MAC address will be DIFFERENT if you install android (this is because both the SD and NAND versions of android and MAGLDR currently available have no automatic way to read the actual MAC address from your device's firmware). this might cause your router to behave BETTER if the problem lies somewhere in the router's configuration. it might solve the problem for you, but you will have to shift permanently to android just to fix the wifi issue and you might never find out what router setting was affecting windows mobile if the problem really was the router settings. tricky isn't it?

Ok thank you so much man i'll try all of this solution and i'll write again tnx again
Hey
I have the same problem with my HD2. I cant load any pages after 5mins of being connected to WiFi. Disconnecting and connecting again works for the first 5mins but then you need to do it again. Very annoying.
If I changed the battery saving settings in the WiFi options, it seemed like it helped sometimes.
I searched alot on the inet, but I couldn't get it to work properly.
I sent a message to htc.com support and they told me i had to perform a hard reset and upgrade to the newest official rom. I did this but none helped.
Now I've sent it for repair under warranty. I'll let you know if they fixed it when I get it back. I'm not sure if there is any other sollution, but I hope they will fix it for me.
Regarding the previous post about how to isolate the problem I will tell you how my device responded to these situations:

I've tried it at a few of my friends houses, but all gave me the same problem
Can't help you on step 2&3 since I sent my device away for repair

"Best performance" seemed to extend the time on which my WiFi would die. So I think this definetely has something to do with the problem. However I tried alot and nothing really solved it. Tapping 'Renew IP adress' a few times seemed to help too.
I read on the net about battery managing for WiFi on mobile phones in general, and for other devices who could choose the option to block the auto managing the problem was solved. Our HD2 however doesn't have this option.

I have tried alot of android builds (NAND & SD) but all had the same problem. I didn't spend much time figuring out what I could do about it while in android but by connecting the regular way the problem occured quite fast.
Hi guys.
I have some strange (i think anyway) WIFI behaviour that drives my crazy, im looking for some help resolving it.
My WIFI seems to go into hibernation/sleep even though i explictly set if to never off in the WIFI settings. I notice this problem because my exchange sync fails constantly (only on WIFI, on 3G everthing is perfect). I notice this problem occours when the phone hasnt been used in a while.
After its been in hibernation mode it very slow to get connection again. I open a browser and need to press "refresh" numerous times (about 15/30 sec. i think before this WIFI i "back").
Any views on this problem? hardware related? software related?
My device is running custom ROM, custom Radio, Rooted ect.
Thanks in advanced.
Happens on stock Rom too actually. Happens to the x10 mini and mini pro too actually. Software issue?

**** phone happens to me when I'm in my bed room lose connection all the time and when you want it to connect agian you have to go into settings and WiFi and then it starts looking for it in steed of re-connecting Its self
Seem crazy if this is normal behaviour..
It makes the push email notification useless when im on WIFI. I need to manually sync to test for new emails (and even the sync fails, until the WIFI connection is restored..), need to wait 30 sec to go online, check facebook, twitter etc.
Can anyone else confirm/unconfirm this is normal WIFI behaviour?
Hah, mine doesnt find any wifi hotspot not the mine nor the one of my neighbors
while my HD2 connects easily to all of them, also having bluetooth problems anyone can confirm the buetooth and wifi of the phone are bundled?
calling htc tomorrow
I also have a problem: when I enable the n-setting on my router while I am having a WPA2 encryption and the SSID broadcast is disabled, my DHD doesn't find the access point. When I disable the n-setting, my DHD does find the access point

Hi,
Was wondering if anyone else has had issues with 3g and wifi on the shift x9501 ?
The 3g problem is that the Windows side gets disabled, and I have to manually enable it from "Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections"
Other times it just shows as no internet available.
Basically the workaround fix for this is to launch the Shift Control Center, disable 3G and then enable it again. Sometimes it fixes the issue, other times it will work for another 5 minutes before disconnecting again.
I have tried multiple WinMo roms and am running on Windows 7. I have re-installed Win7 a few times, installed all the latest drivers available, etc.
I tried to restore the Vista image but was not able to fully. I will install a partitioning tool to make the drive visible and see if I can manually recover the image file (another issue possibly caused by Ubuntu and Grub, months ago)
The 3G and WiFi issues are all intermittent but happen on a daily basis during normal usage. Wifi and 3G just cut out after a few minutes to maybe 1-2 hours of usage (at the very most).
Any suggestions for this? Do others have issues with 3G or WiFi?

Nearly the same to me- Win7 and WM are connected via USB, and as soon as i enable Modem they get disconnected, so i can't acces 3G/Internet from Win7. Am sure it's a little silly point, but which?
Hi im a new member to XDA but im not new to the android os universe as ive rooted, flashed, and modified multiple phones including my very own LG GT540.
So the problem ive stumbled upon is Ive flashed the Swiftdroid 2.0 RC3 CM7 Gingerbread 2.3.5 latest version from mur4ik and i love everybit as apsolutely everything works etc etc apart from one thing so far and that is under Wireles & Networks i can turn on the wifi but when go to wifi settings to chose a wifi connection there apear to be no wifi connections available as in no list... at my own house which has an fully function high spect wifi connection ... is there any fix mabey a patch etc? is there anybody else who has stumbled upon this problem?
p.s when i press left menu button in wifi settings, scan & advanced options appear yet when i press scan nothing happens...
Try a factory reset from recovery to see if that works.

Availability?
Are there any WiFi connections available?
Turn off wifi
rename /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf to wpa_supplicant.old (with root explorer for exmpl.)
Turn on wifi
Sometimes that works (android will make a new .conf file)
Thanks mate it worked perfectly and it was so easy to fix i though i was going to have to reflash the whole phone again... Thanks so much man
Hello i have the same problem with ''djsynth''. I rename he file but wifi still not work
it worked perfectly for me man, just change the extension of the file name from .conf to .old and it should most diffinately work... do you have any battery problems with this rom? mine kept fluctuating all over the place and draining ridiculously fast like in 2 hours mostly in screen off/ sleep mode went from 99% to like 30% .... switched back to cyanogen 6.1 what a shame it was trully a great rom but un usable for long term because of the battery ...
Calibrate
Did you calibrate you battery?
