last i checked (don't quote me on this) the 2.4 build is just minor updates to 2.3, nothing major at all, and will probably be forever and a day before we see a 2.4 release.

As reminded by Engadget - remember 2.0 to 2.1? It was pretty quick.
..it also looks like that build was skinned a little.
Edit: I just noticed that the kernel is really old. Starting to look fishy.

You can easily change the firmware version when creating a custom Rom... I've seen 2.3, 2.4, 3.0, 3.5...
C'Mon... go to http://airbenchmark.Com and you'll see them and their benchmarks.. if they haven't been deleted yet...
My benchmark was number 125 on the list. I was the first 2.2.1 tester on Nov. 27

Tried cyanogen7 anyone else?

I tried it out but it was a bit bare for my liking. Guess its in betaBeta stage now. So im sticking with MiKfroyo for now. I am a great fan of cyanogen i'll wait.
It is in alpha stage so you cant expect too much
I tried it today for a couple of hours. Browsing seemed to be slightly faster (maybe it was my imagination). Everything else seemed to be the same as CM 6.1.1 as far as I could tell, but I didn't play with it for that long. Couldn't get SWYPE to work on it.
I flashed back to Fresh ROM, but will probably go CM permanently if they can get the cameras to work properly and support 4G.....hopefully with the final release of CM 7.....?
I tried out baby wipes once instead of toilet paper.

Running lithid 12/24/10 13:07 build. Love the speed, really really want CMParts and all the other tweaks, like the notification power widgets.
One bug I've noticed since I set my DPI to 162 is that whenever I select something in a list on the screen, I see a blue bar in the middle:

Some friends to see some old products U8800 can upgrade from 2.2 to 2.3 version of the expectations and concerns. Huawei Mobile R & D focus to a more leading ICS4.0 version up, with the fastest speed for the main products directly upgrade to 4.0, not 4.0 upgrade also try to upgrade to 2.3, unless some of the hardware capabilities are limited. Another, Vision Honor and other new models offer 2.3 version listed on the first, and then will be the fastest speed up the upgrade to version 4.0!

ICS Source Pushed Out NOW!

http://www.androidcentral.com/ice-cream-sandwich-source-code-coming-nov-17-says-notion-ink-ceo
So, according to this, we will hopefully see the ICS source code being released in a few days, and if not, then hopefully shortly after. I hope that the cyanogen team or at least someone can put something together quickly enough and we will see an ICS build on the atrix within the next few months.
UPDATE:

Just found this post today on Android Central, the source is being pushed out now! Get excited everyone
Looking forward to this as well, although admittedly more for my tablet than my phone. Hope an ICS rom shows up soonish, between the true multi core CPU support and gpu acceleration I think this is going to make our already flying phone start time traveling.

I am certainly looking forward to this.
Just saw the news on Android Police. This is great news! Cyanogen can start working on CM9 now. Sweet!
Anyone successfully downloaded the source? If anyone has, would you please put up a download mirror? my linux box just took a crap on me....
CM9 nothin.... i'd be just as happy with any ICS stock rom right now.
I agree!^^

Maybe this is Official Android 4.0.4..
look at the letter "K" and i'd rather believe it a carrier-branded version
They need to do something. The 1.4GHz CPU in the Arc S should be more than capable or running ICS withiout lag, when you have 600Mhz phones like the new HTC Desire C running ICS...
wow thanks for your good news!
one question!
my phone have a nordic Rom (4.0.3), but i think my phone is from middle east, now if new update from sony be available , what version my phone gonna be get? (NC or ME?)
The leaked 4.1.B for the Xperia Pro was Android 4.0.4 so it is safe to assume this "k" release is 4.0.4 as well.
it's 4.0.3 for branded devices

Someone's seen my post! - still with no replies.
I posted this in the hope of finding out why I have a 'K' in the middle of by build number when everyone else seems to have an 'A'. I haven't update my phone in quite a few weeks so I don't know why the original post says it was only certified today.
If anyone knows how to root it, I'd be really grateful
