I currently have a modified Hyperdroid CM7 rom running on tytung r9 kernel,
by default it supports max OC to 1190MHz. Is it possible to scale it any further except for switching to rafpigna 1.9OC kernel ? and if yes, is there any tutorial out there ? cuz the only tut i found was using sysFS which is only implemented in rafpigna kernel and not in tytung's offering.
Hey guys, I have just recently started developing and I have compiled a kernel and ramdisk into a boot image which works great on my phone. My goal is to port MIUI to my device. However, my problem is I don't see the link between kernel versions and android. I mean Gingerbread will run on a 2.6.32 and a 2.6.35 kernel version right? How is the VM and kernel linked? I'm currently on android 2.2 with kernel 2.6.32 and I want to run MIUI with 2.3.3(4). Are there settings or something that needs changing in the kernel? Any advice would be great.

Hi,
Because of the following kernel changes see below.. Do i need to flash pa_mako-Kernel-4.3_JWR66V_HALFBREED.zip before i use any other custom kernel? I only prefer Semaphore or franco as my kernel because it does not touch any of the /system files. For example Semaphore uses the stock Thermal Control and then my question is how it would be the cause or effect? If i flash Semaphore kernel and then it would still use showp1984 Thermal Control? Is there any conflict on that? This is very confusing. Thanks for replies in advance.
Here are the Stock Kernel Changes on Paranoid Android 3.99.1:
-Added intelli-demand
-showp1984's Thermal Control & mpdecision.
Regards,
I just moved to this phone from the Galaxy S3 and had a quick question about kernels. I am interested in the Semaphore kernel because of the feature list. I have Liquid Smooth 2.37 installed running Android 4.3.1. I there a kernel from Semaphore that supports CM? If not what do you recommend?
Have a look here for Semaphore kernels: http://www.semaphore.gr/downloads/nexus-4
