HD2 Bricked?HELP?

EYy guyss
i just got my phone back from the company,
everythings was stock,
so what i did, i tried to install HSPL3_PKG and flashed succesfully SPL 2.08.0000
Then after the reboot, i got ''white htc'' screen, i waited 5min nothing happend.
SO i thought the radio, i have to update the radio...
I tried to install the Radio 2.15.50.14 It failed at 96% (??? why.. idk)
THen i thought, there is no ROM on it, i downloaded ENERGY LEO 29700 (some WM ROM) tried to install it, but it doesnt go further then 0%.
SO im stuck with my hd2 White screen,
when i Hold volume down and start it up
i get:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.0000 8G XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x30
The phone just came from back with a new motherboard.
my old one was damaged, i never had problems with flashing....
So any one any advice?

my radio was to low, so i tried to update it, but failed,
i dont want that stupid WM,
soo im stuck with SPL 2.08.0000
and radio 2.05

It seems you havent proper hard spl your device
you need to install stock original rom first then do HSPL again then you can upgrade your radio or go to Android

Slow down before u really brick your phone. . . . Or get flamed on here to death
In order
1. Task 29
2. Flash to 2.15 radio
3. Flash a stock or stock like ROM
4. Do what ever you want
BUT FIRST OF ALL(LIKE STEP ZERO) make sure you have HSPL

I just Flashed it from,
SPL 2.08.HSPL
TO SPL.2.08.0000
and after ''succesfull'' didnt show ''we hacked it ''
it doesnt go on any more, the battery is full i got another htc hd2 next to me, thats working fine on it.
and now bricked?

Flash it back to a hspl version the 00000 version is the stock one for warranty purposes ...

How to flash it for warranty purpose? if it doesnt connect to the pc, boatloader any more? because i do have warranty on it..

does it go to bootloader mode press and hold vol down + power together
if it does then its chance to recover it

i mean the last time it was started up,
i flashed SPL-2.08.HSPL to SPL-2.08.0000 (succesfully installed)
then it didnt start up anymore.

You must install 2.08.HSPL, NOT 2.08.0000 !!!!

I talked to someone during the holidays about a bricked HD2 and this is want he told me. "JTAG will be able to fix dead HD2 when flashing a wrong firmware."

[Q] HELP!!! I might have bricked this phone trying to flash a stock rom via SD

Hi all,
I would really appreciate if someone can help me reverse this process. I have an HD2 that i need to restore it back to factory ROM/condition and return it to US T-Mobile. I previously have WP7 on nand, Android on SD, Radio 2.15, with Mgldr 1.13 with HSPL 3.
I followed the procedure for flashing through SD as it will remove the HSPL. So i downloaded the ROM from TmoUS website, renamed the file to LEOIMG.nbh, and put it on a 4gb class 2 (FAT32) card. Enter bootloader mode by holding down volume/power button. Then it said loading and ask if I want to write over the image, select yes ... then it start the process. Though, half way through i receive the error message! Now when i turn the phone on i can't get past the bootloader mode. Just the error message even when I try to flash again via SD (the process doesnt even start - just said "loading" then "not allow" error message). When i get it plugged in to flash via desktop, the device is not recognized by the update utility. I'm not sure what could have gone wrong .. but any help or tips to reverse this process is greatly appreciated.

What does it say in bootloader now?

If i just power it on I get the blank screen that said "error installing rom" with the triangle and the exclamation mark in the middle. If I boot into bootloader mode it will first get to the screen where it said "loading" then shortly it will say "error" and "not allow" then take me back to the bootloader mode. though, I noticed that the SPL is now 3.03 instead of 2.08 .. but other than that, I couldnt find a way to flash it by SD or USB. Any suggestion on this? Thanks for your help Macgnolia!

Sounds like it flashed the correct SPL and may be failing on the ROM flash, it sounds like it may be flashing the correct radio too.
What I would do is keep your phone completely off for about 3 hours, then turn it back on into bootloader, then try the flash again.
It might have some random overheat thing going on or something. Since you're back to stock SPL, go ahead and flash via RUU instead of SD and see if that does anything, it should let you since it's a stock ROM you're flashing.

Yeah I am with Orangekid here it might help to let your HD2 rest for a while so the internal temp is reduced as it my be some kind of freak heat issue right now. The HD2 hates heat incase you did not know this. I would still like to know what the top line of your bootloader says so we will know if you have the right device I.D. and that you are not one of the unlucky people to get a their device I.D. mysteriously screwed up by a stock ROM flash.

I'm at work and can't really play with it but definitely I will try it again jz to see if its the heat issue. Also, you think it could be the issue with the card by any chance? I was reading on flashing with SD and there were some conflicting opinions about the class and format for SD. And this is my wifes hd2 .. she'll probably freak out .. hehehe ... Thanks guys '-)

card shouldn't matter as long as it's 8gb or less from my experience. Once it's off for a few hours just try to reflash stock via RUU and see what happens.
And yeah, go ahead and load up bootloader first to see what the top line says.

I just tested it again .. same problem! at the top right corner it says "RUUNBH" then the series of lines in the red portion of the screen as follows:
PB81120 SS-B3
SPL-3.03.0000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x50
Upgrade ROM code error
Please try again
and if I just power it on it goes to the error message .. then "loading" screen .. then "error" .. then "not allow" .. then back to bootloader mode but the third line now say MicroP-Wrong Platform (0x0)
any suggestion guys??

I thought it might have been that the download rom was corrupted .. went to tmo and download another one .. I tried to flash again .. get from bootloader mode .. then to loading mode .. and just stuck there ..

Have you try with different micro sd card?
battery pin check, whether it is bent.
Battery capacity should at least 50%
Did you rename the RUU_signed.nbh to leoimg.nbh?
When you transfer it to sd card, did you using card reader?
Anything is possible. Please take a look of the above check list

I'd be tempted to try a full change of spl, use hspl4 to drop spl from 3.03.0000 down to 2.08.0000 or 2.10.0000, then try first the 2.13 rom and then the 3.14 rom over USB again.

For some odd reasons, my laptop (win7 ultimate) always seems to have connection issues even with chevron for wp7. I plugged it in to my wife's laptop (vista ultimate) and it connects. I was reading your comment on a similar issue in another thread and along with your suggestion here .. I figured it must be HSPL issue. I first used HSPL4 to reinstall 2.08 and immediately mgldr popped up. Then i flash the Tmo stock ROM over it. Then use HSPL4 to flash over (twice) with 3.03 (the one without the HSPL).
It took away the Energy boot screen, now I'm on 3.14 with 2.15 radio. I checked bootloader and it saids the following:
PB81120 SS-B3
SPL-3.03.0000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x50
Which is a problem because I checked on the refurbished device they sent and it has SPL 2.10. And so, I put HSPL 3.03 back on there to flash via SD again. Now i run into the same problem I orginally did .. about 20% into the update process and it stops and said update error. Could this be something obvious that I'm doing wrong? and also is there a way to get spl 2.10 without SD flash??

Edit: I did it again a couple times via SD and it worked! I checked bootloader and it said spl 2.10 so I guess everything is back to stock now. [Q] HD2 freeze at white screen

My phone working fine and it freeze while play games on android. When to remove the battery and then on it and it start like normal phone but its just the white screen with "HTC" text, there are no red texts at all in the bottom and with 6 or 7 vibrate.
When i start it in bootloader mode, it says:

I try to install new rom, original rom and MAGLDR, all can install but still show the same this as above.

did you try an original windows mobile 6.5 rom without hspl? for example windows mobile @1.66 version an spl 1.66.000?
if there is the same problem with stock spl you shold send your hd2 to the htc service, thats my opinion

It's that means need to use OSPL 2.08 and below and where i can download the ori win6.5 on 2.08 below.

I using HSPL4 to make 3.03.0000 and flash ori rom 3.14.707.3 and it show this error
as per attach.

Have you tried the NBH-file on SD method?

Try ospl 2.08 then flash original rom. Hspl 4 has hspl and spl just make sure to choose the right one from the drop down menu.

Try on this with 2 option and result as below
- HSPL 2.08 - cannot complete if not mistake it stop at bootloader from the checklist
- OSPL 2.08 - stuck on loading ........

If I recall correctly you need to install ospl 1.66 since you are using a euro phone. The following link will have hspl 2 which you can restore ospl 1.66 with hspl 2.

Should I flash from the RGB screen or HTC white screen? ....
Try before on SPL 1.66.0000 flash from RGB screen just stuck not running.

It's from RGB screen that you need to install from. Strange that it gets stuck. I am guessing you may need to install hspl to go backwards first.

What means by install HSPL to go bsckwards 1st? .....
I have install HSPL 1.66 and install install Ori 1.66 rom but still the same freeze at the HTC white screen ......

Are you able to install original rom now that you have ospl 1.66 installed?

Nope on OSPL 1.66 with ori rom 1.66 it show ERROR [294] : INVALID VENDER ID after 1% on the RUU installer and phone go restart.

Anybody can help around ... Please .... Any can help .....

I think it is the heating issue related to BGA...(hardware=CPU).
Put your device in a fridge for 1-2 hours and then try to reflash it by USB or SDcard: if it boots ok and after a while freezes(and same time it's getting hot), it's a hardware related issue(it's about CPU, as far as I know no certified solutions!), if still no booting, it's something else(maybe easier to fix).

I bought an HTC HD2 FEW WEEKS BACK FROM ONE OF MY FRIEND.
I DO NOT HAVE THE HISTORY OF WHAT HE TRIED TO DO WITH IT.
BUT BECAUSE IT WAS STUCK/DEAD , HE GAVE TO ME FOR CHEAP.
NOW THIS PHONE IS UNDER WARRANTY TILL AUG-2012 AND IS FROM VODAFONE.
(EVEN AFTER INSTALLING ANDROID IT IS VOID)
HE MUST HAVE TRIED SEVERAL ROM/HSPL TO GET TO THIS POINT.
PROBLEM:
When I power up the phone, it displays a NRG LOGO SCREEN (energize software), and it gets stuck on it forever.
When I do hold the power down button, then it comes up with the three colour screen and it says SPL-2.08.0000, AND also says rom update failed (only if i try to install and then start up)
The phone does connect through USB when it is on the three colour screen, but it does not let me install the rom or the spl...
I have tried literally every single step possible. I have tried to do task 29, i have tried install the original rom, i have tried to put the rom in the sd card and try it that way..
Some times after several hundred attempts, it does let me change the spl... as it was displaying 3.... before then i changed to 1.4..... and then to 2.08...
All i want to do is to get rid of the NRG SCREEN, so i could send to the htc ,, for repair ( i know that it is not under warranty if i used andriod, but they will not know) .. or is there any way to completely format the phone,,, is there any solution to install andriod or microsoft? pls help

The nrg screen shouldn't be a problem, but spl 2.x will definitely be refused, since spl 2.x is only for t mo USA hd2's.
As for "spl 2.08.0000 and software update failed",, someone tried to flash a non matching rom from SD whilst hspl was installed, result, hspl removed, stock tmous spl installed which then checks your phone vs the rom, finds a mismatch and gives software iupdate failed.
it wont boot because there is no rom to boot, it was wiped at the start of the flash.
Here's what I'd do
First to be sure its really broke (from your description there are a half dozen reasons why it wont start)
Use hspl4 to set spl 3.03.hspl NOT 3.03.0000
flash the wwe 3.14 rom from USB.
Alternatively, to make the phone warranty safe, again set spl 3.03.hspl (or 1.42.hspl or 1.66.hspl,, note that at no time am I using 2.08 or 2.10 spl) flash a stock splashscreen (several threads available)
Then use hspl2 again but this time choose the same spl but ending 0000.
Its the spl that is the real key, people have sent back hd2s with cooked roms and splashscreens, and no problems, but send a regular hd2 back with a spl that reads "x.xx.hspl " or any spl/hspl starting 2.x and they will refuse
Just cos it used to have android on doesn't mean a thing, they can't tell.

Now it has successfully flashed the 3.03 hspl...
Now the problem is after that.. when I flash the rom I.e 3.14xxxx pr 2.10xxx it will just start as usual and when it reaches 99%, it gets stuck and then the error box opens up.. after the recovery, the same thing happens over and over again.. these are the original from but I have also tried other roms and they stuck at different %s

Shame, Well, I guess the splashscreen is back to stock now? In which case remove hspl (set it to 1/3.xx.0000) and it will be warranty safe.

I have the same problem ! I have intalled the NRG Rom for HD2 Leo EU and every thing was good it works smooth, by i have download an app form Google Play "Beats Audio" with make somethin wrong with the drivers of DSP and HTC Music so i decide to re install the Rom and i fallow the steps for that i make a partitation for 200mb and then do the other steps...but at the end when i install the NRG Rom and start it for first time it freez on the NRG ENERGIZE logo saying "Please wait..." i wait for 30 min nothing... What can i do ???

Hello everyone, I was trying to install new rom by using hd2 toolkit, first I did a task29 then I flashed radio. I mixed the steps and installed hspl, so after that I am not able to install anythink on my phone. First I tried installing Magdlr but it wouldn't passed 0%, then I tried task29 again and 0% again. Then I think the problem would be hd2 toolkit but no, I tried task29 standalone and no work, flashing a radio rom and no work. What can I do now? Thanks in advance..

Don't you read things carefully before doing something like this? If you had another phone, there's a chance you could have bricked it by doing something stupid like that.
Are you able to enter the bootloader? What SPL version does it show there? Have you tried flashing a stock ROM via the SD card?

First task29 was completed, then radio rom installed, and then hspl. All done by hd2 toolkit. After that I couldn't able to flash anythink like rom, task29 or else. So my phone only enters when i open it with volume button, else it only displays htc logo.

U mixed up the sequence mate, the guide says that 1st install HSPL then Task29 then Radio.
Did u still have connection between your phone and computer?
if not try hit reset button while holding down the volume key.

yep, i mixed it. i can reset it but without any rom update or any update (it won't pass 0%) it has no meaning to reset the phone. I have connection between computer via usb in bootloader mode only!

If u can connect the phone to your computer via boot loader that's a good new's mate. There's still hope to fix your phone.

if u has both of this and u still cannot install MAGDLR.
I used to has this problem. After i decided to switch to cLK it Fixed everything.
may be u should try too .

Please, if you don't know exactly what you're talking about don't give out incorrect information. It is NOT possible to install cLK without HSPL, and thus the Task29 won't work either.
@OP, have you tried installing a stock ROM from the SD card? I'm not sure exactly how to do this (see, not giving incorrect info ) but if I'm not mistaken the procedure is to rename the stock ROM to a .zip extension, unzip it, copy RUU_signed.nbh to the SD card and rename it to LEOIMG.nbh, then enter the bootloader and follow the onscreen instructions. However, please check somewhere else that what I've said is correct as well. From here, you can just flash HSPL then MAGLDR, CWM and a zip ROM.
