I am now randomly getting my text notifications stuck in the bar. Even after I read them the icon is there an the light still flashes.

Glad I am not the only one, so fare I tried to disable incoming text notifications and then reboot. After reboot I enabled them again. changed nothing. Thing is I find the problem to be totally random. Dose it sometimes and its not for the same contacts.

I have had the same thing with the notifications, but along with it I am not getting notifications for half of my texts, I only notice I have some of them my manually looking into the messages app.
Tried rebooting, changing the notification settings etc and nothing works!

Have the same problem. Exactly every second SMS does not have any notification! Sometimes it vibrates, but there is no notification in the statusbar...so I have to open the SMS-App.
Now I will miss every important SMS and I have to check all 10-20min to be sure -.-
Hope there will be a fix!
Got the same bug. This is a major bug, and htc have to relese a bugfix asap! This bug makes the phone useless. Can't thrust the phone anymore...

Yes I have always to check if there is a new SMS!
My DHD has now the functionality of a rock!
having the same issue. hope there is a solution soon. i sent an official complaint to htc about this and would advise other people to contact them too.

I also have founders problem when using the mail app. I have a hotmail and gmail account linked. When I have the all acount view on angst an email I go and read it but the notification is still there. Also wanted to add that for both mail bad messages I have the notification light in use.

I guess im really lucky. I updated and have had no problems whatsoever. Not even that 100% CPU bug. I couldnt be happier. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that i followed hamdir's guide to install the update and keep root and s-off.

The sms-bug isn't there all the time. I've only got two txtmsg that didn't trigger the alert. And I got a lot of txtmsgs. But the two that didn't trigger the txtmsg receive notification was two important txtmsg, so I no longer can trust my phone.
I do not have the 100 cpu load issue. So it has nothing to do with that. My battery is just as good as I think a battery should be on a phone in this class. The only thing that really drains my battery is the Angry Bird Seasons. But I'm addicted, so I keep on playing

Same here, its completely random which messages it happens with and it is not the same people that trigger it too. So far I have seen no pattern to the messages with, for example it is not every fourth message etc, they happen at random intervals and the only time I know there is one is when I actually open the inbox.
This needs fixing asap!
Just like to say 1. I have a dhd sim free on official Rom. 2. With regards my notification problem the best way to save you having to clear the notification bar after you read the text is it to access your text via notifications bar in the first place.

looks like i spoke too soon.. someone sent me a sms and i hadn't seen it cause the phone didnt notify me. Only when i went into the messages app it showed :/
edit: and now im getting the notification stuck in the bar at the top HTC need to get on this.
its a very random issue. started happening to me after i deleted my HTC sense account (and then reinstalled it) after doing the OTA update to deal with the 100% CPU issue
Can confirm that trying a different messaging app from the market will fix both problems. The one with stuck notification in the bar and the one where you don't get a notification. Just make sure to disable notifications in the stock app.

Hi. I noticed that my LED doesnt flash for any type of notification. I switched ROMs today and am running cm7. Anyone else having this problem?

Syed, these types of posts should be in the CM7 nightlies thread. We're discussing these early build issues exhaustively.
you don't need to make new threads for nightly builds of a rom. they are designed to be experimental, unsupported, use-at-your-own-risk, builds.

I noticed one thing. I used to have LeeDroid ROM and that one allowed me to use Green, amber, blue, white and also pink LED diod. Unfortunately CM7 allows just green, amber and blue, there is also magneta and cyan shown but it does not work. Any idea??

He is in the wrong section as the Aria only has a red and green led. It does not have an rgb led.

HTC Sync... which is owned by HTC and only works with HTC software.... does not work with original AOSP ROMs as it is not HTC.
Thanks I like CM7 but with over 400 client and personal numbers in my phone I need HTC sync. I appreciate the help though

Sync your contacts with your phone using htc sync. Go get a gmail account. Turn on gmail account sync. And then all of those contacts will sync automatically to any android phone you log into. No more having to plug your phone into a computer to sync it up.

Another way to do this is to export all your contacts to the SD. Then import them after the install. Worked for me when going from 2.1 stock to cm7 RC1.

Everything is working great on the phone BUT I notice that the notification LED is now red-orange instead of the original green. Is there a way to customize the LED color to different notifications or even change the color for all notifications?
Its a different color for certain apps mainly it orannge but I think Facebook makes it flash green.

I am using light flow light at the moment but seem to be getting lots of what i can only call 'miss reads' as the led flashes green for no reason. I mean that there is no email received or anything else to cause it to light up as far as i can see.
so.....are there any others you can recommend i try....i want it mainly for missed calls and email (k9)

I'm using light flow and haven't had any issues so far. Have you checked through all the notifications? There are lots of things the led can come on for eg signal loss, charging battery etc
I'm using LightFlow and it works pretty well, but it seems like the latest version is really bad about dismissing the light notification even after the app has been entered. Specifically with the Messages app. Does it on my Galaxy Nexus, too.
+1 LightFlow, haven't noticed the issue you've experienced...though only had a few days. I'll keep an eye out.

Seems its linked to the k9 notification as when I dissabled this the the led stopped flashing. When enabled it was back to flashing all the time and not just as if it was a new email received.

Have you followed the "hint" for k9 to change a setting in k9 to stop this happening.
Thinking about it, since I wrote the k9 notification I may be able to filter this issue out in future versions without changing that setting.
Also the lightflow debugger widget it handy for tracking down issues like this as it'll list which notifications the app thinks are on.
First off I'd like to say I believe this is an extremely isolated issue, but I would appreciate any and all help.
I can't seem to get notifications working for snapchat. I've looked around before since I had the issue in CM10 with my note, but I've found nothing on the subject. I realize not many people here probably use snapshot, but the way it works is that when a snap is received, the screen turns on and a notification pops up in the notification bar. Since I flashed CM10.1 today I receive the snaps but my screen does not turn on and no notification appears.

I've noticed this has gotten quite a few views and I just want to post the solution. For whatever reason, if you use titanium backup to restore the app it will not be able to display notifications.
To fix it just reinstall the all through the play store.

Hi guys,
I got my G2 today and it's amazing , but i'm facing an issue with the notification light in the front.It shows notification for text messages but it doesn't with any 3rd party app like whatsapp and google+. Is there any way to fix this ?

It doesn't allow it, just laziness on LG part sadly. Someone said you can root and use one of the apps but doesn't work for me so I'm back on stock. It's annoying.
