Wallpaper
Does this work only in HO!NO! mod or with the regular CM it should work too? I'm asking because the wallpaper don't fit in the screen exactly. The left side menu text in the background are off the screen (in screen 1) and the lower icons that should became visible through the transparent circle of the dock icon are off too and I can only see half of them.
Besides, when I go long press home->LauncherPro Shortcut I see an empty list, theres no Screen 6 to select (step 4).
I'm using LauncherPro 0.8.2.

Hi Ho!No!
I didn't get it. First of all, where to put the files that is in the zip file? Unziping it, I got a directory named "Ho!No! scrolling theme for milestone" and three directories inside it and some lps files. Where to put this files?
It was a little confuse.

Unzip everything in the HO!NO! scrolling theme for millestone folder (except the psd file) on the root of your sdcard

Took me a while to figure out...
LPS files need to be stored in your SD card, either in the root of the card, or inside the folders “download”, “downloads” or “lpshortcuts”. To add an LP Shortcut to a homescreen, long-press on a blank spot, choose “Shortcuts” and then “LauncherPro Shortcuts”. If you have any LPS files in the previously mentioned folders in your SD card, they should show up on the list. You can click on “Create New” to go to the web-based LauncherPro Shortcut Creator tool. You can also access the LauncherPro Shortcut Creator tool from your computer, and then put the generated LPS file in your SD card.
Once you do that, continue on with step 4.
Awesome job HO!NO!

Just one question tho, the lock screen shows the very first screen with all the icons of the background (settings, news, etc), I noticed in your video that you just have a plain background, how did you change the lock screen background? with lockbot?
Thanks

First thank you
For lock screen i use WidgetLocker, very nice app.

I made a launcherpro-backup of the settings described by ho!no! and uploaded it together with his files. i think this way its much easier now
1) unpack Zip to the root-directory of your microsd.
2) click menu > preferences > "restore backup"
3) set wallpaper*
4) done!
* i didnt use "Wallpaper Set and Save"-App for that. i made it this way:
- go to gallery > search for folder "Wallpaper" (8 files)
- mark one of the files you wish to set as wallpaper click menu/more > set as > wallpaper
- mark the hole left area of the picture, so that the font on the left is marked and click ok.

looks great.

Confusing at first but epic once finished. One more question, what are the Widgets usedfor the clock and weather for the first screenshot? Also what is the first widget for the second screenshot? The one with all the apps? Please reply soon, and thisbis a great theme. Thanks

OK. I finally managed to configure the whole thing and put the whole wallpaper in the background (thanks for that HO!NO!) but when I try to change the LauncherPro Shortcut to blank.png and it gives me an error saying: "an error was encountered while trying to open the selected image". What could it be now?? I'm able to add the shortcut with the default icon and it does work when I click on it, but I need it to be blank of course.

I had this error too, but I figured out that in my MAC it was saying that it has 4 kb, but in my milestone it was 33 kb.
I have just copy it over and it worked again.

Although it had the same size in my pc and in the sdcard, I copied the file over again and it worked! Thanks for all the help guys!

Just a thought, wouldn't it be better if instead of having the left menu in the background and adding blank icons to the lpshortcuts to have icons as the names so you can choose whatever names you want for the sessions and also freely select the background?
I would do it myself but I'm completely clueless when it comes to image handling... what do you guys think?

@afadel;
I have made some changes on the psd file such as put the names in Portuguese and other changes to play nice on my Milestone.
If you don't have the Photoshop, you can use The Gimp (www.gimp.org) to work with the psd file and you can change anything that you need.

[FEWidgets] User Made Widgets thread!

IMPORTANT: This Widgets are not compatible with FEWidgets Lite and Ultimate version.
As I've been seeing more activity on "user made widgets" for FEWidgets on the app thread, I thought I would create this thread on which we could manage all new widgets created by other developers/users.
I'll keep a list here and update it as often as I can , if you made a widget please create a post on this thread with the following:
- Zip file containing the new widget (if it's an Auto Installable Package please say so)
- Screenshot of the new widget.
- Explain what it does briefly.
- If it's not an AIP widget zip file, please include deplyment instructions.
I'll check this thread often, but if you see I missed your widget please PM me and I'll update it.
All Ideas or questions regarding widget creation should be posted on this thread, and bugs or questions regarding the app itself on the other one.
Documentation for creating an Auto Installable Package zip file can be found on the widget Creation Manual Here.
On this post you have an example of an AIP package and a small guide to create your own on 5 steps. Thanks nir36!
INSTALLATION:
Widgets marked with AIP are Auto Installable Packages.
- Place them on FEWidgets\install
- Go to Configuration -> Install New Widgets
- Restart the Application (or the today plugin)
Widget zip files not marked with AIP, must be installed manually and it will be explained on the creators Post.

I was wondering if action script for Flash Lite is supported for widgets (or would it work if system have Flash Lite installed).

flash lite actionscript is supported, becuase flash 7 for Pocket PC supports AS 2.0.
FEWidgets won't work with Flash Lite, it needs flash Player 7 because flash lite does not provide an ActiveX control. (I believe there is a way to create a player on a specific window invoking FL_CreatePlayer from flashlite.dll, but it's not documented.. at least not for free)
Widget AIP (Auto Install Package) Manual
The following zip contains 4 flash files and 1 XML file which are the example of how to make an installation package for FEWidgets.
The code in the XML was written by nicolas in the Widget Creation document.
all you have to do is download the example, replace the files in the zip with your files and change the zip file's name to have an installation package.
changes required are as follows:
1. change zip name to whatever you want..
2. switch both NAMEico files with your files while NAME is the widget's name
3. switch both NAME files with your files while NAME is the widget's name
4. edit the xml file and change the values inside according to what is written in the right fields.
5. copy the zip file to /program files/FEWidgets/install and in the config app choose to install new widgets.
PLEASE! if you post a reply with a widget and want to add more widgets DO edit your post and add them there. this way we can keep 1 post per user with all his widgets and keep this thread as clean and organized as possible for nicolas to read.
here are the first 3:
Unread SMS Count and Missed Calls Count with 2 icons and a Clean Date Widget.
-Clicking the icon in the SMS widget will load poutlook messaing
-Clicking the icon in the Missed Calls widget will load iContact in Missed calls

Here is my post for widgets.
1) Battery Meter ver1.4 AIP package; its a 5 stage animated meter; screenshots: onsidebar.jpg onscreen.jpg
2) LGMenu widget ver1.0 AIP package; ported version of LG Today Plugin and LGMenu for FEWidgets, fits best on 240x screen with no bottom bar and Opera browser installed; screenshots: LGM_sidebar.jpg LGM_onscreen.jpg
3) Tiny Browser ver1.0 AIP package; this widget is based on Touchwiz's browser shortcut gadget however this one is configurable - you can actually make it run just any .exe from \Windows\ directory; you can change launched application/browser at FEWidgets\custom\Tiny Browser\config.xml; by default its set to launch Opera; screenshots: Tiny_Browser_onscreen.jpg
All packages install sources aswell (custom\).

There is an option... on the configuration section when you select a custom widget the uninstall option on the menu should be enabled.
There is also an installer section for uninstall special commands I think (dont remember right now).
You should restart the application when the widget is uninstalled.
It seems like we wont be able to use just one post to put all widgets/screenshots - its just limited to 8 files
BTW new widget posted (Tiny Browser)
I'm having problems with widgets which call dynamically other swf files. It works just fine on pc, icon shows on sidebar and widget can be dropped on screen but it just dont appear, like its nothing there and FEWidget dont freeze or crash. Here is sample code:
Code:
_root._quality = "high";
_level0.FEWidgetsAPI.SetClickAndDrag(_root._name, _root.drag, Empty, true, false);
_root.loadMovie("w1.swf");
stop();
and there are just two layers where second one ("Drag") containing movieclip with alpha=0

When you have this kind of problems I suggest you look at the FLA files on the sources. You have to use the full application path and appenf file:// at the start:
Code:
_level0.FEWidgetsAPI.SetClickAndDrag(_root._name, _root.drag, null, true, false);
_root.loadMovie("file://" + _level0.BasePath + "[B]swf_folder[/B]\w1.swf");
stop();
Where swf_folder is a folder below the app folder. You can check pb.FLA fpr a working example.
You should also not set quality on your widgets as it affects the whole movie.
nicolas, besides the problem with the inability to disable the Application Shortcut and Weather widgets there is also a problem with uninstalling installed widgets.
when i try to uninstall it tells me that it's "Unable to uninstall Widget"... or something of that sort.
Thanks, "file:" thing work but i can't make it dragable. Tried several ways but nothing changed. Looks like i'm doing something wrong. Here is code i end up with (there is only one layer called "main" and nothing on it):
Code:
_root.createEmptyMovieClip("content",0);
_level0.FEWidgetsAPI.SetClickAndDrag(_root._name, _root.content, Empty, true, false);
_root.content.loadMovie("file:\\Program Files\\FEWidgets\\widgets\\w1.swf");
stop();
w1.swf is still an external animated movie with its own actionscript
I need help.. this is driving me nuts.
When i embed the numerals for the Missed Calls/SMS Count widgets it makes them disappear. only when i use device fonts it works.
i have no idea why...
it looks REALLY bad when it uses device fonts instead of embedded ones.

As dragging involves assigning events you might want to create another MovieClip and use it as a hitzone. Try using null instead of Empty too.

Try increasing the size of the text area.. perhaps that's what is bothering you. (it happened to me once )
I'll check the uninstall procedure on a future... oh an btw b5 had some bugs, I recommend a fall back to b4.
Managed to get drag working but whatever i do all my layers always remain bellow spawned w1.swf. The only reason it drag is because the movie spawns only particially on layers surface (despite that whole movie is visible).
Drag didnt work with MovieClip and SetClickAndDrag function. I went for following code that i found on your manual:
Code:
on(press)
{
_level0.WBeginDrag(_root._name, this);
}
on(release, releaseOutside)
{
_level0.WEndDrag(_root._name, this);
}
Its better now but still need to be found a way to get a layer over the movie and to center this movie
EDIT: movieclip is now centered, now only hitzone button/layer need to be brought at the top

lol, i made it 6 times the size it was and it still doesn't work.
it just won't show the number.
I embedded chars on other widgets and this is the only one it doesn't work on.
edit: WORKS! the god damn widget was set for flash player 10 instead of 7 for some reason. those are the exact problems which make your want to kill yourself.
cheers
btw nicolas, i updated all 3 widgets, please update the first post.
another question: as you can see on my screenshot there is some kind of nettish background to the widgets. is there a way in which i can delete that?

[LAYOUT|Widgets|3584 Icons] [Android Phone 7] for LPP and Desktop Visualizer [30/09]

Hi all,
I've created a "Windows Phone 7" clone Photoshop PSD layout. This is for HTC desire with a resolution of 480x800. Could work on other devices too.
The .psd provided comes with guides (the blue lines in photoshop) and slices for boxes like in the preview below. If you know your photoshop, you can handle it
The Iconpack (gallery):
http://www.dropbox.com/gallery/2370677/1/Iconpack?h=898f93
The Iconpack (zips):
http://users.telenet.be/amahoela/win7phoneicons/
Update 30/09:
- added Digital Clock Widget in 7 colors
Update 29/09:
- added 2 new categories: eBook and Tweetdeck (want more? Just ask )
- Removed zipfiles, added dropbox gallery link instead
Update 26/09:
- added transparent icons (50% black, see screenshot below). Now a total of 3472 icons!
- added transparent widgets
Update 24/09:
- added two new widgets (Settings and SMS Unread Widget) in the post below
Update 23/09:
- added info on box sizes
- added widgets in 6 colors, see 2nd post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8226239&postcount=2
Update 22/09:
- Added an iconpack with 2928 icons (61 categories, 6 different colors, 8 different sizes)
- New .psd file added, used to create the iconpack
Credits go to:
newone757 for the combination LPP and DV idea (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=781455)
michd43 for the layout idea (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8220397&postcount=225)
More info on the box sizes:
This is the part where some people have problems...
Here is the full setup for selecting the right DV widget size:
4x1 image -> "3x1" DV widget (resize to 4x1)
3x1 image -> "2x1" DV widget (resize to 3x1)
2x1 image -> "small" DV widget (resize to 2x1)
1x1 image -> "1x2" DV widget (resize to 1x1)
1x4 image -> "1x3" DV widget (resize to 1x4)
1x3 image -> "1x4" DV widget (resize to 1x3)
1x2 image -> "1x3" DV widget (resize to 1x2)
2x2 image -> "middle" DV widget (resize to 1x1)

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Requirements:
- LauncherPro Plus or ADW Launcher (LPP or ADW)
- Desktop Visualizer (DV)
Procedure with photoshop:
Open the .psd file in the zip-file provided in this post. Notice that the icons and texts are in 3 seperate folders in the layer window in photoshop. I like an organised view when I create/design something
You will see blue guidelines. If you don't see them, go to view - extras - guides. Within those blue guidelines you can create the coloured boxes (1x1, 2x1, 3x1, etc.). Make sure you respect the 10px spaces between the boxes. The only thing you need to do is edit the text and replace the icons.
When you have the layout you want, you go to "File" - "Save for web and devices" - select the slice you want to save and hit the save button
Save those images to a folder on your SD card.
Now you longpress on your screen and add widgets for DV. For example (and this may sound weird) if you want to add a 1x1 widget, select the 2x1 option, assign app, clear text in label and ok.
Then you resize the widget with the resize widget function of LPP or ADW (above, our example had a size of 2x1) to 1x1. If you want to add a 3x1 widget, select DV widget site 4x1 and resize it to 3x1.
For the dock you can take a transparent icon for each of the five positions, the last (which is over the circle arrow) can be used to open up the appdrawer. This works in LPP, no idea how that works in ADW
Procedure without photoshop:
Click the Iconpack gallery link and pick what you want, follow last 4 steps above.
Enjoy!
PS: post your screenshot please. would love to see everyone's modifications. mikecoffee had a pretty nifty take on the "Windows Phone 7" layout with an LCARS theme: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=787060
6 Widgets in each 7 colors:
GenieWidget (weather/news)
Smooth Calendar
Music
Settings (toggle wifi, data, GPS, etc...)
SMS Unread Widget
Digital Clock Widget
Transparent Widgets:
Instructions:
Unzip, decide which color you want and save that .apk
Do a nandroid backup
Pull current .apk, and push new .apk to /system/app with ADB (search forums for more info on how to use this)
Download below, enjoy!

you can already use this, read the other topics linked in first post
I don't have Photoshop, so could someone just release all this as a collection of image files please?
This is confusing me now. How exactly do we apply this?
Do we just follow the .psd guidelines or does that play a part in applying?

[LAYOUT] Scrolling Wallpaper 'Dock' - With Tutorial

ClassicalGas Presents..
Scrolling Wallpaper Dock
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Concept
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have been experimenting with what I believe to be a unique use for the scrolling wallpaper. If using LP with 6 homescreens your wallpaper scrolls exactly one dock icon (1/5th of the screen).
I started playing around with using this as a screen indicator and dock icons to jump between homescreens using LPP Shortcuts. Shortcuts to all 6 screens are attached. I found you could effectively use the scrolling effect of the wallpaper in place of a screen indicator (although it goes the wrong way).
It takes a bit of playing around with the wallpaper to get it 100%. I've included a .PSD of one of my files, however the others aren't really in an up-loadable state. I've included all the scrollable wallpapers I've made as well.
I hope you get some fun out of this - If you do make something interesting and unique please post here to share it with everyone else!

I've had a few people wanting a tutorial on how to get the rainbow wallpaper set-up. Please keep comments and question in this thread, I would rather have questions answered publicly so they only have to be answered once.
The white bar is my own and is only available for OpenDesire, the rest of this theme requires the following and should work on any rom;

They are shortcuts to a different home screen when using launcher pro (might need the plus version). Extract them to your "download" folder of you sd card then either long press on the homescreen and select shortcuts - launcher pro shortcuts or, as I do, long press on your launcher dock and change the shortcut of the item to the corresponding homepage you want to go to.
With my setup the far left dock item should be linked to screen 6 with the far right linked to screen 2. Fill in the gaps. Screen 1 becomes a hidden screen this way.
Hope that helps!

Thanx maan! Now i have other question! xD I dont know how can i put the Wallpaper as you. You get in the center and the 1 and the 5 homescreen with the circle of the wallpaper full, but i dont get this, or the circle is not in the center or in the 5 or 1 homescreen only i see a middle circle.. I have 5 Icons Row in homescreen and I dont know if this can affect...
That looks übercool!
Should just need 6 homescreens.
In launcher pro;
Menu > preferences > homescreen settings > number of screens > 6

ehm ... how do you get the indicators to move through the dock?
after a look at your 'Scrolling_Wallpapers.zip' i find the dock and centered indicator included into the Wallpaper *.png's ...
and as far as i can see, there are no icons attached to the *.lps files ...
even though i might out myself as stupid, but i don't get it and don't know how to install :/
p.s. yeah i know how to install / import lpp shortcuts but i don't get how the images change / indicators move
edit: figured it out.
Completely OT but what are the second 2 games in the list? Big fan of RoboDefence and AngryBirds so hopefully the second 2 are just as good.
i don't know the bowling ball, but the creature with four tiny legs and the long nose should represent the game 'doodle jump'
edit: regarding my question two posts earlier ... you may now call me stupid!
i stopped thinking and just started trying
Thanks a lot...Great work...Awesome
You can leave the Dock untouched ... put the labels for the screens over the dock icons and add an gesture with launcher pro to each icon ... perhaps i will post some screens the next few days for mod res @ 200.
Can you post the rainbow wood source pic please ... looks great!

Hi, your theme is great. Just now I have the first problem. I can not change wallpaper. Im use LauncherPro Plus to use and when you try to change the wallpaper, nothing happens. Always be the old one. Sorry for English. thx
Are the page icons (i.e. Tools, Games, Home) available for download? Terrific setup btw.

Hey guys I finally ported my "hubs" set up to Android Tablets and I have to say its 10x smoother on our 1.0 ghz dual core device. The general idea of "Hubs" is to create a dedicated screen for each piece of media/productivity while providing a visual eye candy. "Hubs" is easy to emulate, and even easier to create your own style. Despite the lengthy tutorial, its actually easier than it seems. The fun part comes with setting up you layout!
What you'll need:

Adw Launcer EX

Multi Live Wallpaper
Minimalistic Text
Simple Text

WALKTHROUGHADW Launcher Users[/U][/B]
-To remove top bar-Press and hold and empty area on your home screen then click on "Launcher Actions" > "Hide/Show Action Bars"
-Enable Widget Overlapping-"Menu"> "ADW Settings"> "UI Settings" > "Screen Preference"> Check "Overlap Widgets" in the Advanced Settings Tab
-Increase Retail Space on your screen-"Menu"> "ADW Settings"> "UI Settings" > "Screen Preference"> Increase the desktop "Rows" and "Columns" in the "Desktop Layout" Tab.
Launcher Pro Plus Users- while not optimized for 3.2, it still runs perfect.
-Increase Retail Space on your screen-"Menu"> "Preference" > "Homescreen Settings" > Increase the "Number of columns/rows" in the Homescreen Grid.
-Remove Icons From Right Dock- Hold your finger on the icon you wish to remove> "change shortcut"> "Blank"
*You may add screen transitions for each launcher if you wish, however my advise is to leave it at default as you can set transition for Multi Live wallpaper. Doing both launcher and MLW will make your screen look "too busy" IMO.
To set the "Bars" (Titles for "Home", "Music", "Movies" etc.)
Minimalistic Text
-To set title- Press and hold a free space on the screen > "widgets" > "Minimalistic Text" (size may vary per style however I use either 4x2 or 6x1 as long as its horizontal > ensure that "background color" is checked > "Predefined Layout" > "Custom" > "Custom Layout" > Click on the plus sign > "Misc" > "Static Text".
-Black Bar Tutorial click here
Wallpapers
-Set up - Load up your wallpapers on your sd card/internal memory and placing them into seperate folders and name them based on the images (ex. Music, Movies, Games etc)
- Long press an empty screen on your homescreen > "Wallpapers" > "Live Wallpapers"> "MultiPicture Live Wallpaper"> "Settings"
- For each "Screen _ Settings" Select the picture source as "Picture Folder" and navigate it to point to your corresponding homescreen.
- Additionally you make select the screen transition here that reflects your particular taste. You may also set a default wallpaper for your lockscreen.
Despite the dozen of widget on the homescreen and live wallpaper, battery use is minimal.I have provided wallpapers below to help you get started.
NAVIGATING BETWEEN HUBS
There are two methods in which you can navigate to each individual homescreen.
Method one: Prior/Alternate way for navigation text was achieved using this methodby trekkie0927. Using invisible icons in tandem with minimalistic text can make it easier to flip to each hubs. Please rate/comment his video.
Method two: I found a great alternative to Minimalistic Text in terms of using the text buttons to jump from one screen to another called Simple Text. Since it's only an icon and not a widget, it consumes no memory and provides a great minimal look.
User AcIdC0R3 has posted a great tutorial. (Please thank him!)
Make sure you have ADWLauncher EX
Go to the market and install Simple Text
Long press on the screen and select 'Custom Shortcut'
'Pick your activity', select 'Launcher Actions'
Choose which screen you want, 1 - 5 or 1 - 7 if your using seven screens
Click on the picture of the 2 screens side by side
Select 'ADWTheme IconPacks' and select 'Simple Text'
Select the grey box named 'Simple'
replace the word 'Simple' with whatever of your choosing like 'Video' for your video hub or 'Social' for your social media hub and so forth
Adjust your text size, Y and X coordinates, your shadow settings etc.
Click the little blue 'A' in the top right side of the screen and select your font (more on fonts further down)
You also have the option to select the color wheel next to the 'A' and adjust your text color
Select the menu icon on the task bar at the bottom and select 'Save Style' if you want to keep what you created for later use as well.
Click 'Save Icon' which will create your icon for you
Back at the black edit screen remove the text from the text field and click OK
You should now have a custom text icon that will activate whichever screen you chose for it. You can click any app icon on your screen and follow the same procedure for your apps so all your apps also have text icons.
[FONTS] In a file manager go to /sdcard/Simple Text/ and create a folder named 'fonts' (that is plural with an 's' at the end). Next go to somewhere like dafont.com and download you some kewl fonts and place them within that 'fonts' directory you just created. Now when you go into Simple Text to do your editing you will have more fonts to choose from.
That's all there is to it.
You can also work with layers within the creation of your Simple Text. Notice below where I created a new layer, rotated my new text layer and intersected where both words have the letter 'E'.
However you may notice that simple text does have it's limitations:
Icons can only be 1x1
Works best on adw
No way to resize; it is only an icon after all.
Miscellaneous
ISSUE: You may experience widget being placed "behind" the black bars. If so try this method provided by user SwiftLegend
1. Put the widgets/icons you want on TOP of the blackbar FIRST. You need these before anything.
2. Select a Minimalistic Text Widget, I usually use 1x1. Clear out the text options (Predefined layout > Custom, delete all of the things there)
3. Once you're back at your homescreen and see the MT Widget, just long press and re size it to your liking.
You HAVE to make sure that whatever you want on TOP of the blackbar is put on the screen FIRST. Anything put on after will go underneath.
ISSUE 2: Users have reported that Minimalistic Widget refuses to post/ show up on the homescreen.
1. Turn your tablet into portrait mode.
2. Add the widget whilst staying in portrait mode as you apply you designs.
3. Rotate back to landscape.
ISSUE 3: You can no longer take full advantage of the screen real estate using adw ex (particularly the corners)
1. Recent update kills the use of every inch of the screen. In his attempt to emulate ICS, anderwebs made the edges of the screen inaccessible.
2. Revert back to an older version (1.3.3)
here's the original layout from the nook color if you guys are interested on putting this on your homescreen HERE

Got everything done except for the title bars. I couldn't seem to find anywhere to insert text using MT
When I saw it first time I didn't like it but when I made my own I love it.
I want to share my idea how to make titles made by using Minimalistic Text (like a "Games", "Home", "Music") clickable (when you click on "Games" title it will bring you to "Games" launcher page page).
My English isn't good so I'll try to explain everything with pictures.
Let's say you have homescreen like that :
and you want to add "Music" title wchich will bring you to "Music" Hub :
Now what you have to do:
1. Prepare minimalistic text widget :
-add Minimalistic Text widget with size you want
-no you should see options windows like this one :
Go to "Predefined Layout" and select "custom"
- now click "Custom layout" under "Predefined Layout" and you will see this:
delete these three grey boxes by dragging them down to trash
-click on the "plus" icon on the right side, you'll see this:
-select "additional" ("Dodatkowe" on my screen)and then drag "static text" up to this place where were those grey boxes before.
- You should have this now:
-Click on the grey box and you'll see edit options like this one :
I'll type "MUSIC" in "static text" and press back button or select style which you want
-enable option "no action on the touch"
- Now you can finish or digg in the settings. When you finish press back button to go back to the homescreen
Now the best part
put and hold your finger on free space on your homescreen
-select "launcher actions"
-scroll down the list until you see "screen 1/2/3/4/..."and select the one that suits to the number of homescreen with "MUSIC" Hub (I'll select "screen 4")(make them two if you are using 2x1 widget or other number depending on the size of the widget)
-You should have this now :
-long press on the "screen 4" icon and select "edit", you'll see this:
-Delete name of the icon, press on the picture of the icon, select "select picture" and then select "ADW dock catalog". Select anyone of docks and the icon will disappear.
-Click OK and make the same thing with other icons - they are now invisible.
- put them in the place where you want to have title of the hub
- put MT (minimalistic text) widget under/above/next to arranged icons
- long press on MT widget and select "edit". You should hae this now:
- resize the widget to cover invisible icons like this :
- resize it again to fill it correctly like this:
- press "back" button - you have now clickable title for Hub
Sorry for my terrific English - I hope you understand what I wrote
Awesome, that great. I'll def add it to my tutorial

Hi all,
I noticed that, if I set the phone to use stock wallpaper and live wallpaper (stock launcher), the notification bar will become transparent. When I try to use different picture (e.g. HTC One Wallpaper [1080 x 1920]), the bar become black. Why is that?

I tested with Nova Launcher. No matter if I set stock or custom wallpaper, both will have the black notification bar.
Was literally just about to post to ask this as I've just spent 30 minutes trying to get the notification bar to be transparent with no success and thought it was something I was doing wrong.
wtf, how do we get other wallpapers and still have transparent. some1 must know this
what you place the walls in the same location as the other stock ones, and make sure its same resolution etc etc... still not transparent. ??

I'd like to get transparent notification bar too. I think it makes the phone look MUCH better especially on the lock screen. It seems only wallpapers from the wallpaper app turn the bar transparent.

Just thinking out aloud here, but can you add wallpapers to the app and then select them as if they were default ones?
I know you can open the .apk file with WinRar, and I believe you can drag and drop files into the app. this way.
Open: 'SecWallpaperChooser.apk' from the system > app folder (I guess you'd need to be rooted) and add files in the following folder with the other wallpapers.
res > drawable-sw359dp-xxhdpi
This is as far as my theory goes. I don't know if the app would recognise new .jpg files added in the sequence of others 'fhd_09.jpg' (1920 x 1920 pixels) & 'fhd_09_small.jpg' (320 x 284 pixels), or if you might need to overwrite the default ones (after backing them up first - or just back up the complete .apk before editing).
Once you've added the wallpapers, you'd need to overwrite (and set permissions?) the existing wallpaper app in the system > app folder.
...or the whole idea just might not work for some other reason I'm not aware of- anyone want to try it out? Worth a try.
I haven't got my phone yet, and I'm still not sure on rooting just yet if I had it...
Please let me know if you try this and it works or not, but just don't flame me if its a stupid idea! Oh, and if it breaks your phone then it's not my fault too!

This theory makes sense:
The notification bar now blends into your wallpaper, but only if you're using one of Samsung's wallpapers or the two stock Android live wallpapers. The reason for this, I think, is because your notification bar could potentially become utterly illegible if you used a particular busy (or gray / white) background, and so when using a custom image, the notification bar becomes dark gray.

The only way to make the status bar transparent with non stock wallpaper would be if someone posts a modded Touchwiz.apk.

Hi. Very interested in a solution for this :good:
Decompile SystemUI.apk,Go to values/drawable.xml and change "status_bar_background" value to #00e1e1e1 like in the attachment.Then recompile,sign it and push it.Hopefully should work.
Sorry but there is no file named values/drawable.xml in systemui.apk
Does the phone be rooted to do this?

Yes you need to be rooted to edit system files.

You have to first deodex SystemUI.apk,decompile it with apktool,Go to res/values and there will be the file I meant .Do the changes,recompile it and push it back.Delete the odex from your phone if you have it.
OFC you need root to do the above
Im coming from the HTC Evo4G LTE that I rooted and put many ROMs/Mods on. I am NOT knowledgable but just followed all the DEVs instructions. The custom ROM I used did not have a transparent notification bar either, so I just took one of the custom ROMs bar mods (zip flashable file), opened it to the systemui.apk file, changed some files in it, and flashed it.
There were about 6 PNG files in the systemui/res/drawable.xhdpi folder that said "status_bar_background.png" (and other similar names). I made new ones in a photo editing program that were transparent and the same size. I renamed them the same names and overwrote them in the systemui apk file. It seemed like a hard thing at first, but it really isnt. I talked to my ROMs DEV and he said that there was only like 2 files I really needed to change, instead of the 6, but I just left it alone as it worked. Im not saying it was the right way though.
I would love it if all you had to do was change a few numbers or letters in an xml file.
I get my S4 today, and definately want a transparent top bar. I think most custom ROMs will implement it, but if not, they usually make top bar modification flash files to change things likes clocks, icons, etc. It should be easy to do when they start coming out.
Also, can someone clear up. Is the top bar where the clock,time,etc is called the navigation bar or status bar ? Ive seen and heard it used both ways. Thanks
Just my .02 worth. Hope it helps.
You'll need to be rooted to try this, and I'm sure you will need to be running a deodexed ROM based around original ROM.
I have edited the SecWallpaperChooser.apk three ways to try to get the Wallpapers working the way I tried to explain in my theory a few posts back. Here is what I've done;
I've created a new Wallpaper and added it to the SecWallpaperChooser.apk, I want all of the attached .apks to work, but if not, I'm hoping that at least one will!
The original .apk file contains 7 different wallpapers, labelled 'fhd_01.jpg' (main WP) and 'fhd_01_small.jpg' (I guess this is a thumb), and the are numerically ordered up to '08. there is no '07' in the .apk I'm using (from the original deodexed I9500 system dump - should be the same for I9505, right?), so the file names go up to '08'.
Please extract the .zip file at the following link, it will contain three folders, each folder is labelled as follows:
7Included - I've added my new WP to the file and added it as filename '07', all original WPs are included too.
8Overwrite - I've added my new WP by overwriting the original file number '08' (nobody used the photo of twigs, do they? ), all other original WPs still included.
9Added - I've added my new WP as filename '09', all original WPs are still included.
What I think you'd need to do with these files is:
Navigate to the root of your device: system > app - and look for the file called 'SecWallpaperChooser.apk' - back this up somewhere.
With root access active on your favourite file explorer app, copy the first file you want to try out from one of my folders, don't rename it though, and paste it over the original 'SecWallpaperChooser.apk' in the system > app folder. Set the permissions to 'rw-r--r--'.
Exit your explorer app, then reboot your device.
It would be good to wipe cache/dalvik if you can, but I don't know if we have custom recovery yet to be able to do this - is there another way to do this - does it need to be done...? I'm not sure. If you're not sure too, then please don't try this.
Hopefully, the next time you try to set a wallpaper, you will see my new wallpaper as an option too.
This is the test WP I made:
If it works, all you need to do then is make your own WP and add it to the app. A bit long winded, but if you don't change your wallpapers very often then it doesn't matter. Depending on which of my .apks work, you might be able to add a few new wallpapers to the .apk. I'd keep to the original WP dimensions too, as per original image files.
Here's the link to my modified .apks - fingers crossed... http://db.tt/bsbEFMJz
If none of these work, then just reinstall your original backed up .apk.
I haven't tried this so please test it at your own risk, I won't be able to help you if you get into issues, and if you do, please don't blame me - I'm only trying to help. Maybe you shouldn't try this if you don't know what you are doing.
If you do try this, then please let us know how you got on. Thank you.

EDIT: None of the above worked, but I decompiled the wallpaper app and swapped out some of the stock wallpapers with my own (and renamed them correctly), then recompiled it again, and now I have my own wallpapers with transparent status bar and no modified System UI, and I don't have transparent top bar in apps (which can look a bit odd sometimes) like you can get in the popular transparency mod to the System UI.
live wallpaper
So no way how to set live full screen wallpaper without root?
I have a strangev similar situation. I can get my lock screen wallpaper to be transparent only if I change it back and forth Bl between a stock one like 15 times......WTF
thought it was something I was doing wrong.
