I'm not 100% certain on this, but I believe the answer would be no. You might want to reboot it and hold the power button down to get into the MAGLDR menu and see if there is a reset option. However, I don't think there will be anything there that can help. Sorry!
I stand corrected (thankfully)

I tried the ad hard reset but still got boot loop ill just reflash the rom when I get home

Stuck on Logo start

I have a strange problem:
I'm using version cyngenon mod 7 and it's great for few months, without problems, and suddenly, yesterday, I've run out battery on the device, and when I try to turn on the power after a charge battery, it freezes the image at the beginning of the Android device. Nothing moved.
Why is this happening? What can I do? I really want to eliminate from hard reset.

ho no.
I think I don't have a backup...
there is no other way to fix this?
just install the same ROM you are using via recovery, your data will be kept. to be sure backup with recovery. or you mean your device stucks at bootloader screen so you can't access recovery?
I can access the boot-loader mode.
How i do the recovery?

if you use cLK loader hold "home" button right after you've turned on the phone, if MAGLDR then hold "red" button and choose AD recovery.
that has been written here many times.
and then what?

[PROBLEM] Can't get in official bootloader / Clockwork Mod (3 color screen)

Hello
Already for 2 years I've been installing and using Android Roms on my HTC HD2, I never had big issues and I always could fix them with the help of the XDA forum.
But now it seems that I have some serious problems. Last night my phone got stuck at the Android logo when he was booting.
So I wanted to do a full factory reset in the Clockwork Mod menu, but I couldn't load that neither. It's say 1234 GO GO GO but nothing more...
Afterwards I re-installed the Clockwork Mod, but still the same problem occurs...
Now I tried to go back to Windows Mobile, so I could re-install Magdlr and everything else, but I can't get into the bootloader menu anymore.
I know how to do it, and I had never problems with it, but now it really doesn't work anymore. And my volume button is working in the Magldr menu so I really don't know what to do right now.
Any tips how I could solve this problem?
Thanks in advantage

[Help needed] Phone will not boot after getting pop-up message

Update: *SOLVED*
I got a strange message that popped up on my phone this morning. It stated "It's gonna rain. Take a umbrella with you". It stayed on top everything else and wouldn't go away. I thought that it could possibly be one of my weather apps and got stuck, so I rebooted. After that point, it gets to the Google loading screen animation and never passes. After subsequent reboots, it does the same thing. I am able to get into TWRP recovery though.
Does anyone know what be causing this and/or how to remedy it? Might it be some type of malware? I have attached a screenshot of it.

Thanks for the link! I do have GO Weather installed, and I have no issue with getting rid of it. Although, I'm unsure how to do that since I can't boot. Any recommendations?

well, since you can boot in twrp you can do a factory reset.
safe mode is a better idea but i dont think you can boot into safe mode without starting the phone.
here are the steps but i dont think it will work so try to delete dalvik and cache from recovery, if that didnt work I think factory reset is the only option unless someone has a better idea
Make sure your device's screen is on, then press & hold the Power button.
In the box that opens, touch & hold Power off.
You’ll see a “Reboot to safe mode” box. Touch OK.
Your device will start up in safe mode. Try using your device normally. Remember, you won’t be able to use any installed apps

I tried clearing the cache and dalvik earlier, along with deleting the GO Weather app files, but that didn't help. I thought about safe mode, but I don't see a way to do it without already being booted to Android.
What if I dirty flash the same stock 6.0 ROM I'm using? I'd like to keep files and apps intact, so I'd prefer to not perform a factory reset, but will if I exhaust other options.
I just realized that I never came back here to update on what happened. I wound up booting into TWRP recovery, connecting to my PC via USB, backing up any data that I needed, then factory reset. That took care of it. Luckily, that also cleared up some other minor, but annoying, issues I was having. Needless to say, I haven't been and won't be using GO Weather EX any longer.

Bricked my phone, help me recovery files please!

Hey guys, my phone d802 just wont boot, it powers off mid boot, its not even a bootloop, I've tried everything and it just doesn't work, the only thing I want at this point is to recover my files cause I already got a new phone, here's what I've tried and failed:
1) Getting into recovery: I have TWRP installed I just can't get into recovery, I tried all the possible button combinations to get into recovery and no one works. The VolumeDown+Power (wait for LG logo) - release - press both Volume Up and Down -> gets me into the factory reset setting, but from here if I wanna proceed I have to delete all user data, which is exactly what Im trying to recover, so this wont work for me as I dont wanna save the phone just the files, some people say you can press power button 3 times from this screen to get to recovery but doesn't work for me.
2) Download Mode: I can get into download mode but then it says "Firmware Update" "Do not unplug the USB connection until blabla..." but it stays at 0% all the time. My pc recognizes the device but doesn't allow me to access files and ADB doesn't work from here, the LG Tool can upgrade the phone to OG firmware but the phone doesn't have enough storage for the update, so the tool prompts me to delete files, which I don't have access to, so im screwed.
HELP! I just need a way to get into TWRP so I can transfer my files to the PC after which I dont care if the phone explodes, someone help me!

That's not correct. Don't worry. After pushing the factory reset you can confirm it and the phone will boot into TWRP.

I know it will boot into TWRP after confirming it, but it will wipe all my data! and I dont wanna save the phone I wanna save the data! I need a way to get into TWRP WITHOUT ERASING USER DATA!
It just boots TWRP and nothing more. The reset will be skipped. I know the phone says it's going reset itself but it won't. Normally the factory-reset button combination opens the pre-installed recovery which performs the reset. But it's gone since you flashed TWRP. The factory reset can now be done with TWRP.

Bricked out of the blue.... how to unbrick it without access to recovery?

My HTC U Ultra suddenly froze past nigth, then it rebooted... and never came back, it won't go past the HTC logo over and over. I am not able to enter in recovery mode either, the only thing I can do is, by pressing both volume buttons and power, entering in what seems to be fastboot menu. In that state I can send the phone fastboot commands (no adb commands though) but If i try to wipe it it says "unable to do in s-on" or similar. I was pretty happy with this phone, and spent a few bucks in a new battery not two months ago.... anything I can do?
Thanks.
PS: I failed to state that the phone is stock, not unlocked or rooted.
If it has just happened out of the blue and you haven't been doing anything with your phone, have you tried a simple reset? (Press and hold volume down and power button until your phone vibrates - Usually about 20 seconds for me)
If not, and you are struggling to get into recovery etc, see if you can follow the method in the thread linked below if you are currently on stock rom!?
(Not sure if this would delete all your data or not, so perhaps only use as a last resort....)

Reset doesn't work, and the other procedure didn't work either.
If I leave it plugged to the charger, it will fall into an endless reboot loop. Sometimes (few) it will end up booting, but If i try to do something with the phone it doesn't respond and reboots again.
Thanks.
As you can send fastboot commands, can you flash a recovery.img (i.e. TWRP), and then wipe cache and dalvik/art to see if that helps, but if not, flash corresponding rom to that which you already have?

I tried that, too, but didn't work. If I do a fastboot devices it detects the phone, but if I do a fastboot getvar all it doesn't give me any information, it doesn't admit adb commands, when I try to flash a rom or a recovery, it fails, I suspect it needs to have the USB debugging enabled, but I can't enable it in this state.
As I said before, if I leave it plugged to the charger, It will randomly end up booting (it can happen in the third loop or in the 50th), but it will freeze or reboot again in few seconds.
Ah I see, if you haven't got USB debugging enabled then I am unsure how to help sorry. Have you got your media backed up, or stored on micro sd? If so, might have to bite the bullet and do a factory reset. Sorry I couldn't be of any help. Maybe someone else would be able to help you further?

The data is not a problem, every important file has been backed up.
Regarding factory reset, since the device won't go to recovery, I can't see how can I do it.
-- Edit --
I noticed that when the phone is cold, those few times it boots, it lasts a little bit more (a matter of seconds) until it freezes again, so I tried to leave it in the freezer for a few minutes, and tried to boot it, and had enough time to do a factory reset. The factory reset worked, because now, when it boots, it goes straight to the intial setup, but keeps hanging after a few seconds. I suspect that the internal memory was somehow damaged, I don't think there is much left to do...
Is it possible to skip setup in order to get to settings and enable USB debugging so you can install a recovery?
If you can, then it might be an idea to try performing a repair of all the partitions and install a fresh ROM... Just to ensure it isn't a hardware issue!!

I can't see how to skip initial setup... and I don't have time enough to go through it, the phone will hang in 30 seconds or less. At this point, I really needed a working phone, so I bite the bullet and bought a new one... I will deal with the old one later, or I might sell it for parts.
Thanks everybody for the help.
No worries, enjoy your new phone
