Hi!
I have a linksys WRT54G3G wireless router and has set it for WPA encryption on the wireless network. But my HTC TyTN (Hermes) wont connect to it.
If I just say yes on the connection dialog, choose internet and the punch in the WPA key the device hangs and I have to soft reset.
If I create a wireless setting for my network on before hand and then turn radio on my device only says connecting. But never connects to my network.
WEP works fine on the device. And my laptop connects without any problem to both the WEP and WPA encrypted networks.
Does anyone have an idea what's wrong and how I can fix it?
Best regards,

It's working for me...
HTC TyTN with Linksys WAP-54G.
I use WPA-PSK with TKIP. All is working.
I've just selected such a parameters in setup window in my TyTN, set the key and all started to work perfect.
Hi mikechannon!
Thanks for the threads! I haven't seen them, but unfortunealy they don't help much. I have MAC filters turned on. But I don't have the same router. May be that's the problem. I'll try contacting linksys support next week. My device works fine with WEP encryption. But I'd like to secure my network a little bit more...

hi,
I have had the same problem with my WRT54GS, and solved by choosing WEP security, but now after seeing this thread and following links I installed recent firmware from Linksys and... pronto! WPA / TKIP works smoothly. Thanks, folx.

Hi all,
At my work we have a WiFi network with the following settings:
WPA2
PSK Auth
TKIP
WEP-104
The problem is, I can't connect with my HTC Tattoo. It shows the network as WEP and not as WPA2. My home network has WPA2 and I can connect to that one.
Does anyone have an idea to get this to work on my Tattoo? Or is there any update or app to solve this problem?
Many thanks!
Hello everybody,
everytime i want to setup my N4 it doesn't show my WiFi network / or not the 2.4 Ghz variant only the 5Ghz. The 2,4 Ghz version sends the signal at WPA TKIP and i also switched it to WPA2 but nothing happens. Anyone else has problems with it or solutions?
Thanks in advance!
Got it just made an update of the router and resetted all passwords
can anyone help? i can't seem to find a thread with this kind of problem...
ive been trying to connect to the wifi on my company with WPA/WPA2 security but i cannot connect to it, only says "Saved, Secure WPA/WPA2"
is this a router setting, a bug or a hardware problem? i was able to connect to this wifi connection before when i was on WM 6.5
i am now using NexusHD2-ICS-CM9-HWA v3.0b thanks to juicyboose and Nigeldg for the guides
