Does anyone try to hard reset your HD2 NAND? It doesn't work on a few NAND ROM here. Please report.
I can only think that you're doing something wrong when you try to hard reset, as the ROM cannot affect that at all. It's not running at that point.
Can you explain what you're doing?

I tried to remove some apps in the system\app folder and now it's all screwed up and don't want to re-flash it. In Winmo, I just hard reset and everything is back right to the original ROM.
The easiest thing is probably to flash the ROM again. With the phone off, hold down the power button till you get the magldr menu and select USB flash. Plug in the cable and reflash.
Edit: Actually, I take it back. I don't know if the usual hard reset method would work with a flashed Android ROM. I actually doubt it would. Either way, the above advice still stands.

Thanks John. I reflashed any way but in Winmo, flashed many times and the hard reset worked everytime (either in software or hold both volume key and power on). Just wonder why it doesn't work with android. The user data must not be stored in the supposed partition, I guess.
I think you can flash the rom again, it will ask if you want to keep the old settings. I'm not sure, but had read something in the HD2 android topic. There is an AD Hardreset option in magldr menu.
Can't you hard reset from megaloader?

The hard reset doesn't work for me. I try it with gauner1986's HD-FI 0.3 but... that do nothing

So I have 2 hd2 phones one of witch I'm able to run nand based android on just fine. The other one witch I installed everything on just the same has serious booting problems.
I install hspl3 and cwm onto it than flash android. Than it either freezes at cwm screen or loads android and freezes there. Sometimes it will repeatedly reboot. I've done both hard and soft resets, I've also reinstalled the original rom back on it with the same results.
Is there anything someone might suggest that can help me out, or should I trash the phone? Any help would be nice.
Also before flaming me I have done alot of research and nothing I read and try seems to work. That's why I decided to finally post asking for help

did you task29?
That is something I haven't done. Mostly because I don't even know what it is. Or how to do it.

It's like formatting the NAND storage, give you a clean plate with no residue left behind from previous flashes.

So i ran task 29 and i'm still having problems.. as of rightnow phone keeps getting stuck on the 3rd loading screen. rebooted the phone 3 of 4 times and still having the same issues

Once you have run Taks29 you need to install a ROM, as task29 wipes the ROM area.
The best option is to flash a stock ROM (preferably not the 3.14 version, as you want to install Nandroid). Please make sure you do one allowed on your phone.
Once this is done, test the phone to make sure that there is no hardware issues.
It is advisable not to have the SD Card in the phone incase that could be faulty.
I've installed magldr1.11&android nand build of mdj gingerbread v.2.6.
Everytime my phone power off with the battery goes out, I will press the power button and plug the cable after the white HTC screen comes out.
By doing that my phone could boot&charge successfully. But after it boots into Android, I always find that some settings changed, such as default browser, screen brightness, etc.
So i'm wondering what cause it: magldr's bug or the build's bug? Is anybody has the same issue with me?

I believe MDJ's Gingerbread v2.6 requires magldr v1.12? try upgrading it and see what happens
V1.11 and 1.12 are the same, save yourself the effort really..

So it is magldr's problem, isn't it?

It's nothing to do with magldr, which is not running when your phone is running Android. It boots it and nothing else.
It'll be a problem with the build. If you've made any changes to the OS settings, reboot manually so that it's shut down correctly. It should retain them after that. If not, you may want to check the thread where you got the ROM from as you can't be the only person having this problem. If no-one's posted anything then let the dev know about it, otherwise he'll probably be unaware and never look into it.

Several days ago, I was using MCCM HD V5.1 build. Once I turned on the phone with the cable plugged, the similar case happened.
That's why I begin to suspect it's the magldr's problem
It seems disappeared after installing magldr1.13
i have purchased htc hd2 second hand from a shop now it has a owner account name and password to delete it it was do a factory reset worried to do tht coz i m afraid if i do it it will go back to windows 6.5 or it will be android reply please
If there is an android now, then it stays android.
sorry but i cnt trust a juniour i need sum senior member advice on dis if any1 cn guide me
you can trust what he says.
a hard reset will only take it back to a clean version of whatever system/ROM is on the phone

That is a bit stiff don't you think?
I am assuming the ROM is on NAND and not on SD. In that case, how did you format? AFAIK you can only format from Clockwork mod recovery console. If the ROM is DFT and not CWR, You need to reinstall the ROM to do a wipe. If you formatted the SD card, that won't help because the ROM is on NAND and apart from loosing some app settings/data, the ROM itself is still there.
If you have CWR, just format the data partition and that would be enough in most cases.
and how to do that will i loose my android

your best bet is to read up on everything that is NAND:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905841
the more you read, the more you will understand, the fewer mistakes you will make...
You won't just lose "your android". It's on the NAND memory and WinMo has been wiped from your phone. Basically, go in to MAGLDR and choose the option to 'AD HardReset'. It will just reset the Android ROM you're using like you've just flashed it. Don't worry, Android won't go anywhere and it wont, unless you flash WinMo over it again. Not even pressing the little button on the back of your phone will make it go back.
If you don't know how to get to the MAGLDR menus just hold the power key while your phone is turning on and keep holding it until you can see the menu with numbers and options. Then you go down with VolDown and up with VolUp and to select something use the power button.

Today I was attempting to flash my phone with typhoon android rom. I had all the necessary stuff to do it. After reboot the flashed worked but when I try to slide to unlock it won't work. It won't respond at all. If I use the hard reset on CWM what will happen? Also is there anyway to fix this or is it broken..
i really doubt its broke. somewhere something might have gone wrong. pop the battery out and enter magldr by holding down the red power butoon, go to option 8 ad recovery, hit green button, scroll down & select wipe data/factory reset then hit green button, then scroll down to wipe cache & hit green button, now scroll down to advanced hit green button, go down one to dalvik cache & hit green button. now go back & select reboot system now. see if this helps.
if this dont help i rather flash the ROM myself and then give a very detailed (noob version) of what exacly to do step by step because it seems you've been having a lot of problems flashing this ROM. i just rather take the time out to show you step by step then you keep trying and lose your device to a bad or improper flash.
Yeah, I'm new to this stuff sorry. I think it would be easier for me to just revert back to wm 6.5 and then start over. (Also to check if my touchscreen is still working.) Could you give me a guide on how to revert back to stock version and if touchscreen still doesn't work I can send it in for repair or something. I appreciate your help greatly
The touch screens fine I'm sure go back to cwm Di a factory reset and boot

to update the thread: the phone has since been flashed back to stock winmo and the touch screen issue is still there. plus i suggested a few threads with similar problems. anyone with any knowledge on this would be great.
this could have just been coincidence that it stopped working at the same time as they tried to flash a new ROM but anyone would have to agree it would seem like very odd timing.
Check your battery pins are nice and straight

After that I think you need to check your warranty :-\

Hi friends,
this is my first post here so I think it's time to say thankyou to the devs and the mods of this forum. really great work.
After my CoreDroid install crashed (most apps wouldn''t start any more) a friend of mine pointed me to the typhoon cm mod. I'm very happy with this mod as it is very smooth und looking good.
My first version was 3.6.5.
Some days after install I noticed that I couldn't start BT. It says "activating.." but then stays off.
I updated today to 3.6.9. but this didn't change anything.
Is there anything I have to configure or am I doing something wrong?
Thanx in advance for your help!
Edit: Hm. No answer at all? Was this a stupid question? When searching this forum I just find bluetooth connection problems. Should I take any steps like task29 and reinstall this mod? Do you need some more information about the phone?
Sorry, just bumping.
Really no one?
Not even a tiny neat hint?
It seems to me as I also have the bluetooth power drain bug (~60mAh in Standby with only 2g/3g activated data off, wlan off and of course no bluetooth active - at least it seems so).
pleeeaasse... heeelp..
Seeing as it's not something that has come up before, you will need to do a cwm backup then do some testing, try a few roms, maybe go back to winmo, post back with what works what doesn't.
Without trying other roms there's no hint whether its hardware or software.
Thank you for this hints.
Would you suggest to do a hardreset after making a cwm-backup? What other steps of precaution should I take between switching between different mods for beeing on the clean side?
no, not a hard reset (assuming you meant a winmo hard reset, , that doesnt do anything), , , if you are flashing another android rom, , in CWM choose 'wipe data factory reset' which will wipe all the partitions, most importantly this will wipe the sd-ext partition and clear the protected android folders on the fat32 part of the sd card.
Do this even if you are going to change the partition size (i.e reflash CWM for a rom that requires a different size) because re flashing cwm will clear all the nand partitions, but wont touch anything on the sd card, and its often the stuff left over on the sd card that causes problems.
I'd try one android rom, and if that doesn't work id go back to winmo stock (if you have a tmous, usual warnings apply to ONLY use tmous stock roms), and if it still doesnt work, its almost certainly hardware fault. had any bumps or bangs?
hm. some problem here: cmw seems to be corrupted. when I press either up or down vol, it seems as if "abort" (red) is also pressed (the hat appears on screen). after pressing up/down vol again, the menue appears again and the marked line moved one step.
this way I can do a backup, but when navigating in the secodn level menues, I fall back to top level menue. :/
Any way I can repair cwm?
I can't remember how I installed it. Think it came with magldr.
What now?
Enter magldr, "USB flashing", flash cwm.
didn't do the trick.
still not able to navigate in cwm.
but: nand gone. no android to boot. :[
Edit: I'm trying to get into the bootloader by holding down vol-down then hold down power. But I get into magldr.
Doing it wrong?
sounds to me like you have a hardware problem with the keys. Also, there are a few threads that talk about not being able to get into bootloader, not read any of them, but thats probably where you should start.
