Guys i noticed that images on the Galaxy Tab now shows in bad quality i don't know if it's because of the latest firmware upgrade or something else, but when i got it i used to view images in a very high quality same as viewing it on Mac.
Anybody has the same problem?

From day one, my Quantum 5MP camera has taken extremely poor pictures and I have researched this throughout the internet and others appear to have the same issue. I've tried different settings and even hope it was in a firmware update (I have FM# 1.1.3.11) but no resolution thus far. Is anyone else having these issues?
Hello. I've just bought a brand new Galaxy Note 3 and it's amazing.
It's my first samsung device, so it makes me wonder, why, when I send a photo via Whatsapp messenger, it get's low quality?
In my gallery, photo is amazing, but when I send it, it's blurry and it has terrible quality.
Any ideas how to remove that.. Compressing?
Hello,
it might be asked a lot of times, but I, personally, cant find any info on how to improve Samsung Galaxy S4's camera.
I updated my S4 from 4.2.2 to 4.3 (and regret it deeply) and found that fantastic picture quality from 4.2.2 version is poor at best with 4.3.
I tried to change ISO, picture quality to 13 and then to 9.6 MP, update camera firmware but the picture quality is still poor.
I would like to go back to 4.2.2 version but because of KNOX Warranty I'm a bit scared (still have 1.5 years of varranty).
So I would like you to ask you all for help - is it possible to get picture quality to 4.2.2 version's or maybe somehow get 4.2.2 version's camera app. I don't know, my knowledge is very limited when it comes to Android stuff.
Hope you can help me.
Sincerely,
a new member
U cant come back to 4.2.2 without void the warranty
What do you mean by poor quality? I'm on 4.3 and i've realised a lot of my pics are blurry, i just assumed i've not been holding the camera still when taking pictures but it's happening quite often. When i think about it, i don't remember it happening when i first got the phone.
edit: Here's a good example of a recent pic that has come out partially blurry, this doesn't happen on every photo and it's rarely blurry across the whole thing, notice how the image is much sharper near the bottom, and how bad it looks towards the top. I'm sure this is a software problem.

Would different camera software solve this problem (or at least help me troubleshoot?) or is this something that needs to be fixed with an updated kernel?
Hey Guys,
I dont know if many of you have noticed this but.. I feel that nexus 4 camera now takes better sharper images with stock app then jellybean... Any of you guys still on older version so we can do the comparison?
I am stock unrooted.. by the look of it images look sharper and more detailed then earlier
I'm running Stock 4.4.2 no-root, no nothing. Ever since I updated OTA my camera sucks. Is someone else experiencing the same? It's just whole lot of awful pictures now
Same problem here - I actually found this thread trying to figure out why my pictures suck. They're grainy as hell and i get alot of blurry pics if the flash is off.

wow i have the opposite
i get more sharper and detailed images..
weird I find the camera quality much better with Kitkat.
I didn't notice much difference.. But I would say 4.4.2 is a bit better than 4.3! I'M under the impression that the camera'a auto-focus is a bit faster too
looks for Jishnu´s LG Camera, here in xda, you will be amazed.
was there any fix to the overly blue-purple tint to the photos? i remember when i first got my nexus 4 the pictures always had a very blue or purple tint, so bad in fact that i completely stopped using it for picture taking. but now that 4.4 has come out i wonder if there has been any change? or did anyone ever come out with a mod or patch for the bad camera tint?
bump
anyone?
Don't know about the blue tint, but I always find the photos kind of washed out. Just use Picasa to fix the white balance.
just got the phone brand new yesterday coming from an s3 and i can instantly notice the camera is somewhat worse?
this is very obvious in low light, even with light the photos seem to look grainy like the phone is always zoomed in. am i missing something? any tips here from other S5 owners
i'm on stock 4.4.2 rooted
sample images below, the quality on the s3 while darker seems much more sharper.
sorry here are the right attachments
left is the S5 while right is the s3.
the S5 is so grainy i can barely see any detail, it appeals very grainy on the phone's screen also while taking the shot
That was taken on stock rom..
Try with flash ON mate
same problem,,

hi sorry
samsung galaxy s5 international version 4g - stock cam and google cam also..
I have got the same problem!!
Sent from my SM-G900F using XDA Free mobile app
i feel this is a really silly thing.
especially coming from an S3 and to the newer S5, the phone looks like it is always zoomed it when taking a photo.. it is THAT grainy in low light
i have seen some reviews and threads about the front facing camera being grainy which i can understand but this is the rear camera?
my S3 camera, while darker is much much more sharper than the S5 which is quite disappointing.
does anyone have any ideas or thoughts?
try
turning on image stabilisation, its S5's night mode.
