Please tell me I havent bricked my phone.
I was getting ready to flash the new Quantum Rom before I realized I need to to install the EXT4 support.
Decided I would just do it in the morning and tried to restore my phone.
I have been up for the last 2 hours trying to figure out how to get my phone back working
Everything I have tried has failed and Im stuck on the Samsung Screen.
I dont have a clue what to do. Im going to try and just flash the stock rom and pray to God that works. In the mean time any help you guys could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Hello. So I've recently decided to root my mytouch 3g with the headphone jack, which probably makes it the 1.2 version, and I'm starting to regret it. I've followed the steps fine on this website (link below) until I got to step 3. I rebooted my mytouch however it is now stuck at the HTC magic screen. It hasn't changed for quite a while. I was wondering if my phone is bricked. Hopefully it's not and if it's at all possible to fix it. (just remove the spaces to get the link.)

If ur still stuck, pull your battery, press red power/hang-up button + home into recovery. wipe and flash again. Keep reading those guides. What rom are you flashing by the way?
I haven't gotten to flashing the rom yet but I was thinking of the latest stable rom for mytouch 3g. Also I'm currently attempting to revert my mytouch back to the original firmware it came with and trying to see if i can root it again later.
Good luck. Not much out there thats stable like any official rom from tmobile, but its fun to learn (time consuming, too) If you dont feel up to it, stick with what it came with. New updates coming soon(ish) anyway.

Lol soonish. Yeah I couldn't wait so I decided to root my phone. Hopefully I get things working.
you should be fine. Read and follow correctly. I used that same tutorial when I unlocked mine.

This is what I used and I didn't run into any issues. Follow that to the "T" cause if you reboot at a particular part, the part that says "DO NOT REBOOT" and you do, you're jacked.
Hope you get it to work. Enjoy!
Luckily I managed to get it to work after many long hours and failed attempts. It seems that I was doing everything right and I just needed to shut off my phone manually instead of letting it restart when it prompts me to. If I had known this I would have saved myself many long hours of frustration. But thanks guys for the suggestions and help. It's nice to know I can have support when I need it.
How did you mange to pull it off? I have the same phone as you do, and I've been trying for days to get out!! just to use the phone on any rom then i'll try rooting it again!!
Please help me, im begging you!!
Thanks
Please provide the steps you did, if you don't mind specifically!!
Hello all i tryed to install voodo on my sgs but it ended up failing via odin and now i am stuck at a black screen with a orange error box a with a phone on the left and a computer on the right. My phone was running 2.2.1 stock
I would love some guidance since i really need my phone the coming days, i hate that i messed it up since i had waited for so long doing anything to it until i felt i knew what i was doing, but hey there you go i guess i did not
i really hope someone can help me out here, thank you for your time!
Btw i can get into download mode, what should i be flashing in odin to fix my phone ?
i think i was too fast posting, i think i managed to safe it myself... Still ill keep thread for a day or so, since i might still blow the thing up somehow
Hello everyone,
I have been on this site for sometime, always reading and waiting to be able to take the plunge into all the fun.
I am a Bell subscriber, and have enjoyed my phone till this point, but now I would like to be able to get everything back to normal.
A couple months back, I messed up my Atrix and decided to flash the following sbf file onto it, 4.2.11.MB860.Retail.en.FR.
It has been running good since then.
Now I want to be able to get back to the Bell software and be able to take the OTA updates, and have my car dock working again.
I have read until I am blue in the face, and there is so much jumping around from thread to thread, I am really lost when it comes to start this.
My phone is currently rooted using Gingerbreak 1.20, I have backed up everything, and am willing to do anything to this phone to accomplish this. I am not to worried about it, as I have purchased the extended warranty on it, so I hope I am covered.
My questions are:
Do I need to unlock my phone to proceed to the next step?
if so, I use ihop-bell?
I install CWM, I currently use the one with Rom-Manager
I download the Bell 2.2.2. Gobstopper? Install it?
I have the current version of RSD lite installed on my computer
then I ????? this is where I get lost again.
I know some of you are saying read the steps posted, but it seems they all lead to different pages and I kinda got lost in the process. Would someone point me to a step-by-step that could help me please?
Sorry for inconveniencing any of you, but it is greatly appreciated
Thank you
Fred

Can you still get your phone into download mode? If you can, follow the instructions in the sticky post titled " how to recover your fascinate from any brick... " by Dalev.
PWGB,TKSGB10-14, adren shot xix, honeycomb2.03, ec09 radio.
No offense, but judging by your post you have no business flashing/rooting anything if you don't understand what your doing, let alone on someone else's phone.
Sent by way of the GB delivery truck..
You can install different launchers without being rooted...just an fyi

Hey guys let me start by saying I have done quite a bit of searching and im not a total noob when it comes to this stuff. I have still been unable to find an answer to my questions...
So basically I have a Droid 2 and I flashed the CM9 ICS Alpha onto it had it running great (Cant wait to get past alpha ) But due to the fact that its an alpha and really nothing works I wanted to go back to my librity rom... I tried to boot into recovery and that caused a boot loop instead of booting into recovery.
So from there I went to flash the stock SBF onto the phone and it keeps just getting stuck in a boot loop even when flashing the stock SBF. What have I done! lol How do I get this thing back to a factory setup?
I would really like to figure this out but if I cant I will be putting another mobo in it as that may be the easier solution haha
Thanks for taking the time to help me with this and if you know somewhere this has already been discussed please direct me to it as I could not find it...
Nevermind lol
I was able to get it to boot by booting into recovery and running the factory reset. But I had already tried that once before posting this and it had not worked...
Well anyway all is good for me now maybe this will help someone eventually have a great day.
