I played music from my Focus through an IHome external speaker yesterday and it sounded great. Today, when I played it in the same room, at the same time of day, I frequently heard cell phone data noise through the external speaker. I could eliminate it by setting Airplane mode as a work around. I never had this problem with my HTC Tilt 2. I didn't change any settings for frequency of email sync and I didn't add any apps that would have increased the frequency of data connections. Have others had this problem with their Focus? Any ideas why it didn't do it one day and then started the next day?
This is a problem in general with GSM phones. I've personally never had a CDMA phone do it for whatever reason.

When my Herald phone is on, near computer or stereo speakers that are on, periodically there is a loud digital clicking sound coming through the speakers. When connected to EDGE the clicking is constant. I always need to turn off the data connection every time I'm near a computer or stereo. It also makes it impossible to stream media over EDGE and listen through stereo speakers.
It sounds like you can hear the data transfer in the speakers. I don't have this problem with other wireless or 3G phones. Changing radio version doesn't seem to make a difference. I used 03.18.90 and 03.21.90.
Is this normal and I should just live with it? Does anyone else experience this? Any suggestions?
Live with it. You can't do anything against it.
The Wing shouldn't cause such electromagnetic induction (it was an annoying problem with older cellular phones), but it is "normal". But you can isolate your wires from the speakers and/or headphones with some aluminium foil, but this doesn't looks so good...
Yeah, in my experience it happens with pretty much all mobile phones. Both my Wing and my Shadow do it when I am either recieveing data or about to get a call or text or whatever. I find it sorta usefull to be honest, that way im not scared when my phone rings and im not paying attention!
I'm using Plantronics 590A bluetooth stereo headset with my fairly new Galaxy Tab. When I listen to music, it will play for several seconds (sometimes a minute or so, but usually much less), then it will cut out with no sound for a second or two or three, then start playing again.
I would suspect a problem the Tab, except that this is the second one, and of a different variety (the first was Verizon, which I returned due to lack of SIM and got AT&Ts). Both showed similar symptoms. The headset *never* cuts out on phone conversations (AT&T Tilt2, HTC Aria), and it's rock solid when I attach the bluetooth adapter to the G-Tab's audio out.
I had suspected things like "Wifi notify me when a network is nearby," and the like, but this will occur even if *all* network devices are disabled (except BT of course).
I have several apps from the market and the device is rooted via SuperOneClick, but otherwise it's a fairly standard installation.
Is this a common problem? What suggestions do you have for troubleshooting/resolution?
Thanks!
I have my creative WP300 stereo connected via Bluetooth to stream music. it appears that the bluetooth connection kept dropping every a few hours of use. I had no problem with the same headset on my Sprint GS2 (Epic 4G touch). Just curious if there is anyone experiencing similar thing? Do I have a defected device? Thanks,
I have my GS4 paired to my Kenwood DNX9960 headunit in my truck and every time I get in my truck, only the "Use for phone audio" is checked, not the "Use for media audio". I have to open up BT settings on the phone and check the media check box and it connects right away. This is so annoying, it should just connect both profiles automatically.
the media portion of auto connect is determined by the music app.... i use power amp and have no issues with it auto connecting, but with the stock player no luck.

I too have upgraded from the GS2 and I have experienced drops with Both of my New Devices (2 S4's). I have a Dual XML8150 Head Unit in my vehicle. Neither of them Auto Connect. Sometimes the music will play for the duration of my travels, However most of the time it drops the audio in a few minutes (less than a song few minutes), however the 2 devices are still communicating (meaning I can play/pause basically). I do not use it for phone calls so I can't report how it works on those. A few times yesterday it would happen almost immediately, and one headset wouldn't even play audio from the onset (although I could still communicate (Play/Pause). Once I would disconnect from Bluetooth, the audio was confirmed playing on the headset. I have not tested this problem out with my Plantronics BB903+ headphones, but will today.
So a final note to wrap it up. I'm at my 14 days. Even though Im only rooted with TWRP, I'm doing the full reset on both devices and i'm going to test it out today flat stock. In addition to the Bluetooth antenna/radio, None of the Antennas (surprise, surprise Samsung) on this phone seem to be very strong. It seems that one likes to connect to 4g more than the other. Same place, same tower ones stuck on 3g and one on 4g (according to RF signal tracker). Even a data off/on doesn't seem to force it over and im sick of seeing the "can not establish a data connection" popping up in the middle of doing anything. I can't forget to mention the Dropped calls, probably more in 2 weeks than in several years. I had an S2 since the first month it was out (Typical Lame GPS, and crazy menu key was about it) I briefly used an S3 (Asurion Claim), and the troubles I had with my S2 were gone with the wind, so I figured the S4's have to be even better....Well, any troubles today, and I'll let you know what happens at the sprint store tonight.
On my G6, I have really terrible audio quality over Bluetooth connections, I've had two separate G6s, of different colors, received weeks apart, and they both suck for Bluetooth audio, especially my Sony car stereo, and LG Tone Free... can anybody else report on their experience? Does your LS993 sound awful on your Bluetooth devices?
Have a fairly new G6 bluetooth og Bose earpiece working very well, also on 2010 F150 pick up and 2012 Buick no audio issues. Audio has been fine so far.
Mine also is pretty poor. The volume level is about half the level of the satellite radio or fm stations in my car
Hello all.
I had G2 in the past and I use to listen music in my car, using Bluetooth connection to Pioneer head unit. I have Spotify premium account and I have my Playlist downloaded with the best quality. However once I got G6 a week ago I noticed that audio quality from the g6 with the same songs, same Playlist, same Spotify account, is not as good as it was with g2. So I did a short research and found a thread in the net where people reported the same problem.
A guy from the thread suggested to disconnect all other Bluetooth devices from the phone (like smart watch or band) and actually that solved my problem. I have MiBand2. Once I disconnected it the audio quality became as good as before.
So guys, if you have a smart watch, try to remove it and check the quality again. I hope that helps.
I went a couple of months with no issues on my Kia Optima, then suddenly, I started getting really bad aliasing on the highs. As said above, I turned off my Huwaei watch and the sound was normal again. After a bit, I turned my watch back on, and it remained fine.
I had it happen once again many weeks later; and again, a quick off - wait - on, cycle with the watch fixed it. So whatever it is, seems to be a bandwith allocation issue with the bluetooth software. From March '17 thorugh almost Sept '17 and I've only had to do this twice? I think I can live with this.
Hey heres something for you to try..
Download WiFi Scanner from App Store.. Look at your 2.4ghz networks.. then keep in mind your cordless phones, IP Cams, Walkie Talkies, baby monitors in your area.. You may be a victim of signal interference.
Bluetooth operates on the 2.4ghz spectrum along with a TON of other devices now available.
Your sony stereo may be the culprit.. if is an aftermarket "Xplod" deck
Im an audiophile, and my G6 runs better than my Samsungs.. (also no issues with the "preventative volume warning"
What you also may have is an app that is causing the volume to lower...
For example.. when i stream the music player with the stock app, sometimes Snapchat notification sounds cause the rest of the volume to be lower..
Google Maps is another one that can hijack the sound but you can control in settings.
For using music try a different app ( i use Maple Player) and it works great ..
Based on your experiences i think its something outside causing the problem to be honest. but thats ALOT of trial and error to deal with.. if worse comes to worse- you can always get an aux jack bluetooth adapter for your car stereo if it IS the stereos bluetooth receiver .
Bluetooth and WiFi are known to interfere with each other since they can use the same frequencies, but what I'm seeing is a bit different. When I have my V20 (H910a) WiFi turned on I get Bluetooth speaker interference even when the phone is playing locally stored music and not actually using WiFi.
If I load a page on my PC, the audio from my Bluetooth speaker stutters and distorts. If I turn the WiFi off on the phone I get no Bluetooth interference at all, no matter what my other WiFi devices are doing. This is very consistent and happens every second music is playing and there is WiFi activity by other devices.
Does anyone else have this problem, or am I looking at a one-off hardware defect? If somebody has a BT speaker could you give it a try?
