I personally use Winamp and my bluetooth device is a Jabra BT3030. My headphones are some Skull Candy ink'd ear buds.
The stock media app will put all sounds from the SD card in the playlist, including ringtones. Winamp ignores the ringtones, but will ad sounds from anywhere else on the SD card.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
I use MortPlayer because I'm old school and I like my music in folders and don't need it broken up into genres, artists, etc.
For my BT, I use Plantronics voyager 855 - it's a convertible stereo BT earbuds. You can take off the stereo side and just have mono sound from the main ear bud. It was only $30 and I got them free. They work quite well. My actual earbuds are Bose in-ear buds. They isolate the noise quite well and they fit my tiny ear canals.
I use PowerAMP (which has an EQ if that matters) for music playback.
For BT headphones, I've had:
BlueAnt headphones (suck)
Motorola S9 (suck)
Motorola S10HD (suck, and fit worse than the S9)
Motorola HT820 (alright)
Motorola S705 (alright, depending on earbuds/headphones used)
Jabra BT3030 (pretty good, depending on earbuds/headphones used)
DealExtreme BCK-08 (alright, depending on earbuds/headphones used)
Sony Ericsson MW600 (awesome, even good with stock earbuds)
My favorites are here:

I just got a Jawbone JAMBOX, and it's great as well. Very nice for mobile music when you don't want to deal with earbuds or headphones. Hope this helps.

I have itech Blueband stereo headset ... it holds perfectly (i'm using it at running) .... and have by my opinion very good speakes (good basses and good sound) ...
I have Motorola HT-820. I'm tested sound quality via Motorola BT-transmitter which was be connected to AV-receiver Pioneer.
Sound - bad quality, low volume level.
Headphones ergonomic - ugly...
HT-820 not work with my Wizard because last K-JAM ROM (K-JAM_RUSSIAN_2160904_21609105_20710_ship.exe) still not support BT-stereo profile
does anyone tried this feature? Which headphones are bettter?
I'm using Plantronics pulsar p590 and think that these headphones are the best =))) there may be some problems with listening MUSIC using stereo headset, but all of them can be solved ... just download new bluetooth stack and listen your favourite music !!!!!
so you made your pulsar p590 play music and answer phone?
i use bluetakes they are great i can both listen to music and answer phone
but still bluetooth headphones can`t give the quality like my old KOSS Porta Pro
Ok everyone...I have my handsfree bluetooth headset working great for calls and can hear call audio just fine, but I want to be able to listen to any audio that comes out of my xv8600 so is there a cab file that mods the audio to send over bluetooth? I did a forum search and found nothing on the subject.
THANKS!!
p.s. - the headset is the motorola h700 model
This is one I have used..use...Not a cab..just drop in windows\start menu\programs and it will show up in the programs folder...sure there are many newer versions that would be cab style.
thanks. that did the trick, but wow...audio quality is terrible. I didnt notice how bad it was before since it was just voice audio...
anyone know a high quality BT headset? like as good as regular earbud headphones at least?
-connor
thanks!!
BUMP - anyone? with regards to my last post - trying to find a highquality audio bt headset?
this motorola one I have sound slike 11KHz, and not the full 44KHz quality, sounds very muted and distant, like typical phone quality when I try to listen to music on it...anyone?
It's definitely a hardware issue, so since I just bought this motorola one, I'd like to take it back for a better one, so please post ASAP if you know of a full44khz quality BT headset/earbud
Thanks!!
Heard "jawbones" are nice...and expensive...for that kinda money I would just purchase bluetooth stereo headphones..some come with built-in mics

the whole point is to minimize wghile driving but still get good audio....besides wearing stereo headphones while driving is illegal since it inhibits your abaility to hear sirens, etc...had a friend who got a ticket for listening to his ipod with headphones while driving. the cop told him he could hook it up to his car stereo, but not have headphones directly in his ear. bluetooth earbuds are still legal, thats why i want a stereo quality earbud (albeit on channel) but in 44khz so i can take calls and listen to
hq music
try PLANTRONICS 855 voyager. Excelent. That´s you are looking for.

is it 44khz quality? i cant exactly test one out, i would have to buy it, so is it really like regular headphones quality?
try Jabra BT8040
A2DP Profile
is it possible on the vibrant to stream music to my jawbone bt earpiece ? i used to do it on my touch pro 2. but with android im not sure ? help me out guys please
Yes, it's possible (though it may depend on what model Jawbone you have). Make sure your Jawbone is updated with H2DP and your phone should be able to recognize that the headset can be headphones as well. Check out the Jawbone website for more info.
If his jawbone is like my old one ( now use a Plantronics Pro), it didn't support Stereo (H2DP)
One of things I plan on looking into the Android source for is why someone hasn't come out with a "Mixer" app to route Media out the BT Headset profile. I'm sure there's a technical reason.
I've never seen a phone send music out to a BT headset... I don't understand why that is, it does if you use a wired headphone.
Things like podcasts should be fine in a mono headset. Even music would be better than nothing.

A2DP?
The new jawbone hero has an update that supports A2DP. Music sounds terrible through it tho, I even streamed NPR's car talk through it and it was scratchy. For some reason too, the phone prefers streaming over BT rather than through the audio jack when it's plugged in. Turned off the audio profile for the headset.
Hi Guys.
This thread is to share mt experience. Galaxy s3 has great sound when it comes to playing music with wired headset, but when it comes to music on wireless headset, it doesnt deliver as good as the wired headset quality.
I have tried following music player to listen music on my PHILIPS SHB9100/00 headset, but the quality on bluetooth wasn't even comparable to the wired headset with following music players.
Player Pro
Poweramp
winamp
jetaudio
s3 built in music player
n7player
VLC player
google music
But the music quality was really amazing with only ONE Player that I loved and that was NEUTRON PLAYER.
I AM NOT WORKING OR PAID BY THE DEVELOPERS OF THIS PLAYER. I AM JUST SHARING MY EXPERIENCE.
Please let me know if you have any other music player or MOD which works great for bluetooth music quality.
With the current aptX bluetooth spec, I don't believe it is possible to match wired performance. I have an HS3000 and while it is way better than prior BT, there is noticable noise compared to same IEMs via wire.
Is your headset aptX?
I am not sure...
