May be CPW stands for CarPhoneWarehouse? - Galaxy Tab General

I have the Tab with CSC "CPW". Walk through the Web and I can't get the detail of which the location the CPW arranged for. As a spark flahed in my mind, may be it stands for CarPhoneWarehouse? When a reseller is important enough for a vendor, it does have the power to request the vendor make some customized contents exclusively for it, right?

Well from the general response I have gotten from the stores around Melbourne, only official Vodafone stores will be getting them.
I've heard Westfield Sydney and North Sydney stores will have them by the afternoon.
I just bought one from a vodafone store in melbourne. Well half way through

Made my way to westfield, and raindancerau was right about them stocking the 10.1v but they sold out already by people calling up this morning. More stock in a few days but as there is no waiting list you have to call on the day and they will put one aside.
# there is a display model to play with if your in Sydney and unsure if you want to buy #
Anyone know of any other places to try?

Just came from Melbourne Vodafone store (corner of Elizabeth and Bourke). Stock is sold out - but at least the do have one model for display purposes 8) I've tried to start it - but battery meter was showing only 2% charge, so device went to sleep mode straight away.
Friendly stuff member said he'll charge it so I'm heading back to that store after 5 pm to get a feeling of honeycomb ;-)
just picked one from the Chatswood vodafone store in Westfield seem to have quite a few. Very impressed with it. Lighter than the ipad and the new Vodafine 850 network is getting fast access.
the store I got mine from told me they were only getting the ten they got today in.
Called chatswood at 10 today and they just sold out.
Found one in newtown and just picked it up. I asked for you guys and they have 5 left so call now!
Let me know if these posts have been helpful to anyone

When is UK unlocked firmware gonna be released sick of wait

I know I have the option of update to la4 via Odin but wonder when Samsung will released this to the UK
I have a UK unlocked version xeu and am not impressed the UK users are being made to wait I would have thought the UK market like the German market accounts for a large chunk of note sales so why do Samsung think it is ok to delay our release
I don't want to patch via Odin as I have never done if before and will wait but does anyone know when we will see the release

Yesterday I couldn't wait any more and updated by Mobile Odin Pro. Was fast, easy and LA4 is really more swift and dandy

I got sick of the wait too about 2 weeks back and went the Odin route then changed my CSC whilst I was at it. Very frustrating waiting for updates in the UK and it'll no doubt be another long wait for ICS when it finally comes out for us brits. Luckily flashing LA4 was easy enough...

Mine is a UK unlocked version which I don't mind sharing, but I need directions on how to properly extract the right files without including personal info and as show of gratitude I would like someone to share the UK samsung movies app version (long story but basically need it to utilize the movies voucher).
I assume what you are asking for is kka?

Stock arrived to fill pre orders from Warehouse Stationery in NZ on Friday. Picked mine up after work. So glad I waited & didn't get the white, the blue is more of a slate grey, very fetching.

Samsung *still* haven't managed to get blue units to Clove yet. I preordered on 4th May
If they don't arrive this week, I think I'll just not bother and will simply keep my S2.

Pebble blue available all over India from last Friday onwards ......
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA
Appears that some customers in finland has recieved emails that blue versions are shipped today from couple different resellers. That might indicate that blue models are increasingly available in some locations allready.
E: as someone mentioned about availability in india, it appears to be same here as some operators has listed it as available too. I guess that it won't take more than a week when it reaches most countries.

NFC, Cheapest place to buy tags and what use are they?

I like idea of NFC, like mobile payments for instance, (which btw im yet to see in the UK) but is it worth buying NFC tags for £10 region?
It seems NFC isnt taking off in UK which is a shame,
I tried carphone warehouse to go buy some as they are on the website but was told they dont sell them.
Anyone in UK know where to get them other then eBay and which are best suited to Galaxy S3?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
there is no need to open a thread for this, really.
There are already many NFC threads, just search.
Even outside S3 forum still within xda.
Problem is i dont understand the differences between them, as i use gs3 thought this be a good place to start.
I did search found some threads but the different sizes models etc isn confusing. Just wanted to be clear on what id need

German version of GS 4

It looks like Germany is gettig octa core and i want it rather than snapdragon 600. I always had USA version of phone and never tried international version. Although rumors are to be said that Exynos are not going to get much development as snapdragon 600, it is ok because I will not be rooting or flashing rom. So, My question is, what will be the famous german phone sale website that will be selling GS 4 and will ship to USA? (For example in UK, www.clove.co.uk would be a good example)

If I bought one from Germany (octacore) :
1. Would it just be a case of selecting English and using my 3 sim straight off?
2. Is warranty an issue, would I have to send it to Germany should a fault occur?
3. If they ever do bring out an octacore version in the UK at a later date, am I right in thinking you could just flash the UK firmware on the German bought phone?
Thanks

1. Well if you buy sim free unlocked one and your carrier carries the right frequency yeah.
2. I have to research more on warranty but i assume samsung in us will be handle it unless warranty specifically states to be serviced in germany.
3. No idea

Related to #2: Of you buy the phone in Europe, the warranty will be available only in European Union, so in case of problems you will need to send it to Europe.
About #3, if the devices are both OCTA, it shouldn't be a problem.

UK is in Europe (for now at least ) which is why I'm not sure how warranty would work. I wonder if someone in France moved to Germany, would they have to send it back to France if that's where they bought it?

Nop, you can fix it in Germany, as well as Portugal or Romania. If you bought it in EU, you can fix it wherever you are or want. I'm in Spain right now, I will buy it from Germany and if I have problems, I can send it to Samsung Service here in Spain. That's the beauty of European Union.
@jkforce: I don't think it will work. First of all, the whole US will use Snapdragon so Octa will be kinda hard (or needs a lot of time to be fixed because of the component needed and not found locally). Also, an extended warranty works in the same way as a normal one, in this case only in Europe, but covers you of drops or other mechanical damages. You will need to ask Samsung US if they can accept you an extended warranty for an European device in US.
