Hi
Yes it is possible, you have to DUMP you original ROM at first and save it on you computer, you get 4 files from you ROM.ROM Dumping is already explaind in the (WIKI)you have to convert this 4 files to one NBH file after that you can cook it to you phone again. You have to apologise me, to explain everything again, it is explained in the Wiki,be aware it is not that easy, but doable

Stock roms all here.
The update is pretty long back!

If there's the ROM you're lookin' for in the thread linked by jeremy, that'll be the original ROM
If not, you should CID unlock your device and flash one of these ROMs (WM 6.0) or you can even try other WM6.1 or 6.5 systems
Hey guys...i tried to install the software i told u about which i downloaded from htc website...but it didnt continue..it always breaks and give me connection error message...

Can you flash using SD?

Make sure the original roms fits your phone.
well..i've read the SD flash, but the problem is that the rom file is exe file not nbh, and secondly what's the stylus, sorry to ask for many question but i'm very new to pocket pc's!
Stylus is that 'stick' or 'pen' where you use for the touchscreen.
I thought there was a nbh version, that someone has stripped from the original.

How to back up existing rom

You would first have to do a full ROM dump from your phone...but even then, you wouldn't have a ready-to-use ROM, you'd still have to re-cook it again in a kitchen. What are you trying to do this for?

[Q] How to Upgrade Iolite to WinMo 6.5?

Hello dear Xda-Developers forum,
i came here because i want to upgrade my XDA Guide (HTC Iolite) to the new WinMo 6.5 from Iomega staff.
First things first,
i have already read quite a few "how-to's" but still cant solve this issue.
I wanted to dump my rom first before i start to install the new one, so i've dumped 4 .raw parts from my phone but as i wanted to merge them into a rom with ervius-kitchen it just deleted these parts and gave me an error.
Also when i dump my phone via an exe and not by typing it in a cmd window i only get 2 .raw files. Is this an error or is the rest just not needed?
Next i have some quite basic problems:
-What is a .nbh file and where do i get it to cook a rom?
-If possible is there already a Stock O2 German rom i could download? (Google gave me no results)
-I have no idea how to install a new rom
Thanks in advance,
Micha
Solved.
I've been able to install the rom but however am not able to form my dumps into 1 .nbh. Anyway since i don't seem to get an answer to that i see this thread as of no further use and would admit and Admin deleting it.
Merry Christmas
Micha

[Q] Reinstall custom ROM after stock ROM install

Hello there, and first of all excuse my english, I'll try to explain my question as best as I can
I have an htc Surround running a custom ROM (the phone was already running an old DFT ROM when I got my hands on it), after some research I am still doubting if flashing my phone with a stock ROM can lock something making it unable to reinstall the current Custom ROM on my phone.
It's just a simple question, but can't find any clear info about that, so I am asking as my last resource, I don't want to lock the bootloader or something like that.
My plan is to install a stock ROM, then upgrade it step-by-step to 7.8 using the Seven-Eighter tool, and if anything goes wrong or I don't like it, reinstall the custom ROM from always using the RUU I have on my hard disk
If need to post some info about my phone feel free to ask about it.
Regards and thanks for reading!
Hi, it's me again
Reading more I find this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195647
looks like I should lose my HSPL (as I refer to bootloader in my previous post) if I flash using a stock ROM using the RUU from NODO.
Someone correct me if I am wrong.
Regards
