"My Apps" are missing from Market - G2 and Desire Z General

Is it just my phone, or is it after the market had updated itself, apps under "My Apps" are missing?
If it's just me, does anyone know how to fix this issue? I got like maybe 3/4 of my apps there, where did the 1/4 go!? I can still use the apps that aren't on the list though.
Hmmm...

Did you press menu in the market?

That happens to me sometimes too. A restart usually fizes it I think. Either that or just waiting. I bet a *#*checkin#*#* would do it too.
I think it's a dropped or broken connection with the market as it's reporting/loading your apps.

Easy fix.. Go to Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications and on top press the tab for "All" then scroll down until you see Market. Press it. Then press the tab to Clear Cache then Clear Data. Go Home and then go to the Market. It will ask to Accept the Terms of Service. Once you do and the Market loads go to your apps and you should see all of them.

Yup. This worked for me too when I manually updated to the latest version of the Market app. But then I remembered that I just flashed to a new ROM and didn't restore my apps from Titanium yet and it caused a big mess LOL

Please Help, Messed Up

Hey guys, I've pretty tech savvy but new to playing with smartphones.
I have the Titanium backup and I removed some bloatware. (Bell Galaxy S 2.1, rooted, unlocked on Telus) I made out OK but stupid me never did a backup first.
Everything was fine until I removed Google Talk and I don't remember the other one below it. (I think it was goolge talk storage or something like that)
No when I boot the phone up I get Error com.google.process.gupps closed. And I can't download from the market. Everything else is fine afaik
Can someone help walk me through this?
A google search ?
https://wiki.ousli.org/index.php/Vo....google.process.gapps_has_stoped_unexpectedly
Thanks for the help but on my phone I don't have that option. Where do I find the place to clear it on my phone?
Wich one you don't have ? Try clearing all google stuff
There are no options on my phone that I can find for clearing anything google. I know how to clear the browser stuff but can't find anything else to clear google things. I found where I can sync my google contacts, gmail & calendar but not clear it. There's an option to remove the google account and I tried it but it says I can't delete the account because it's used by the phone and I'd have to do a factory reset.
Press your device's < Home > button, then press < Application >.
Select Settings and then Applications.
Select Manage applications.
Maybe All tab
Select Gmail Storage and then select Clear data. Answer OK when prompted.
Return to the list of applications by pressing the < Back > key.
Select Gmail and then select Clear data. Answer OK when prompted.
Restart your device (Press and hold the < End call > button, then select Power off. Press < End call > to power on).
I found and cleared google service. that fixxed the error on boot up.
But the market still wont download and angry birds beta stopped working at the same time this happened

And try to re-install angry
Thanks for the link. I am just a bit scared to install it because it says it gets rid of the radio. My market worked fine before I deleted Gtalk and Gservice.
Is there another way?
OK so just to clarify, everything on the phone worked fine before I uninstall Gtalk and Gtalk Services (I think that's what it was, it was right below Gtalk)
Can I put the Gtalk and Services back on to fix it? (If so where do I find it online? Maybe someone has a dump?)
I don't know how to install the marketfix without the market either, it just sends me to the market no matter what I do.

Receive a direct download link in your mobile
Sorry I should have told you I tried all the methods on that page. I got the direct link emailed to my phone and it just opens up in the market.

Download on computer and transfer anywhere on you sd then use my files app to install it
Thank you, I will try that tonight.
I wanted to ask too, if I wait for the official Froyo update will that fix this problem too?
Well yes cause you will flash your phone with new fw
froyo is due 2 weeks away
not sure you want to wait for that long
The EXACT thing happened to me before. I did a google search and learned that Google Talk is in fact tied to using the Market.. I had to reflash my phone's firmware to get everything back.
I recently made a backup of all the default software of my SGS including Google Talk. So I have its apk and such.. I dunno exactly if you can install it from an APK..but yeah I have it. I'll upload it for you when I get home later.
I will just reflash the phone with original firmware if I can find it. Mine is the Bell version. Will the IMEI change if I reflash it with new firmware? Mine is I9000UGJH2 currently. No updates available through kies.

[Q] Can't install new apps on my Streak

I've been getting the "unsuccessful install" messages when I try to download a new program from the app store. I tried using appbrain and the "market" applications to download. I have a new streak on ATT purchased from Dell. It worked fine for two weeks. Now it will no longer install any apps.
I'm on 1.6. I am now into almost a week without being able to download new apps. I tried: Restoring the Streak to a week earlier when I thought the app market worked; I uninstalled apps I didn't use that I installed recently; I have over 1gb free in internal memory; I cleared the cache in the appbrain and market apps. I tried everything mentioned in other forums by people with the same problem.
Today I may enter Dell Hell and try to call tech support. Any other ideas? I really don't want to do a factory reset since it will wipe out all my programs. If it doesn't work then I will still not be able to download and have no new programs, although I guess at that point I could do another "restore" to get them back.
Anybody have any other ideas before I try the phone call?
I've tried a lot of the suggested solutions (clear cache, turn airplane mode on and off, unmount sd card, format sd card, rebooting many times, playing around with google talk...).
What worked for me in the end - uninstalling the market updates (NOT the updater) - from options > applications ... I've lost options like automatic updates and "update all" but at least i can now update *at* all and install apps.
I wonder when does Market get "upgraded" again...

I don't see where you do what you are talking about. There is no "options" under applications and there is no "options" option from the home screen either. I am confused as to where you get to this.
I figured out how to do it. Thanks, that did it, amazing!
glad it helped.
In the meantime my Market got upgraded back again and so far it seems working...
How do you know it got upgraded and and does it do it automatically?
Because the features like "update all" and comments on a separate tab are back again.
And yes, it does so automatically (as it is a core system appliacation, it does whatever it - or Google - wants).

Go in to Applications > Manage Applications > Market > Clear Cache. Then reflash and you should have it. The Market is constantly being updated by Google though, so it might not work with the newest market.

[Q] Uninstalled apps in market

I experiment with some apps, install them via market, after a short time uninstall them. Now, market shows "installed" for uninstalled apps. Is there any way to "told" the market that these apps are uninstalled?

Try clearing the data for the Market app.
rebooting seems to fix that for me. How would you clear the market data ?

Depending on which ROM you're using: Menu >settings >applications >manage applications (if you're on CM7) >scroll down to the Market app, press it and select clear data. You will need to sign back into the Market once you open it again.

[Q] MN5 - Downloaded market Apps won't install

I have a new Nook Color running 1.4.2 and followed the instructions with CWM 3.2.0.1 and MN 5.02.19. Everything looks good except apps won't install. I see the Android market and have downloaded all apps from my Google account. I can see they are downloaded but when I try to install, nothing happens.
I've used NookColor Tools to force stop, clear data and clear cache in the Market app but still can't install.
Edit: I've reinstalled with the apps2sd version plus the stock kernel. Still no joy. Have spent an entire day getting nowhere. I see that NookColor Tool doesn't have any hidden white text on a white background. It's all white text on black background. Toggleing the tick box doesn't seem to do anything.
Can anyone please help me?
heh... toggling that select box breaks app installs for me. I fixed it by rerunning the sd-boot root again. After the root, just verify that the box is selected.
There's also the solution from old_fart
you try clearing the cache and data of both the Google Play Store app and the Download manager
1.Visit Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage applications
2.Tab over to "All"
3.Select the Google Play Store app, and then tap "Clear data" and "Clear cache;" then, select Download manager and tap "Clear data" and "Clear cache"
Good luck

Thanks Ron, I do remember the select box in NookColor Tool was already ticked after I ran the sd-boot root. I'll try once more.....Could the problem be that the Market isn't updating to Google Play Store? I'm stuck with the old Android Market. I can see my paid-for apps but it won't download them for installation. Can I force an update?
ps. old_fart's solution didn't work for me
Third time lucky....I tried the root again and this time I didn't toggle the NookColor Tool tick box. Market started it's upgrade to Play Store within seconds and Angry Birds installed first time. Thanks Ron
