Well my wife got me the tab for christmas and I could not be happier. first thing I did was root with Z4 root installed OCLF which is working great and downloaded launcher pro plus from the market. I'm coming from a vibrant and I must say I am very happy with the speed and responsiveness of the tab and look forward to playing with this great device.

Which galaxy tab has the least amount of bloatware?
You can remove all the bloatware you want by rooting and using root explorer, just be careful
Well I preferably want to know about the use versions of the tab but if the European versions are than please let me know or is it just better to root the tab thanks
Unknown yeah it figured but I was just curious out of the 4th carriers which one had the least..... I was just curious to know
Yeah sorry my xda app is really annoying takes five minutes to let me post again and SwiftKey is annoying sometimes when it auto corrected but yeah it was just curious out if the four carriers which galaxy tab has the least amount of bloatware and is it worth rooting the tab.... was also curious about the lag you get from these samsung galaxy devices sometimes..... my vibrant was really slow sometimes

didn't get any with mine. The wares it did come with, like the thinkfree app and nova game were welcomed by me!
I have the sprint tab, came with sprint hotspot and some kind of sprint account manager so nothing too bad like I've seen on other devices

I'm pretty sure the Verizon Tab has the most bloatware

None came on mine that arrived today. It was sim free and just had the default samsung stuff I assume.
Does rooting void my warrantee?
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
Yes rooting will void your warranty.

And can it be put back to a factory default without them knowing?
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
Yes it can. Use z4root from the market to root and it has an option to unroot.

Just got a new Verizon Galaxy Tab and am wondering if the DroidX multi touch keyboard can be instaled on it? I found an apk floating around but it seemed to be a 2.1 port and force closed as soon as i installed.

I think there was a thread about this at one point, and no one had much luck with it. I tried at least 4 different versions of the apk, including one that was supposed to work on 2.2 but no dice. I'm assuming someone with some skill may be able to modify it to work at some point. People suggested getting Smart Keyboard Pro from the market instead, so I gave it a shot. Costs a couple bucks, but it works amazing, and has just as good multitouch, if not better than the Droid x's.

Kool. Just downloaded the trial version and am using it now. Seems to be very similar to the Droid x.

I just turned on my Tab, launched the Market, and found that I had automatically gotten the new update! Anyone else get it yet? Looks great on the Tab!
Yea its kinda weird because i recently upgraded the firmware and before i restored my apps i noticed that i had the new market. I mean i already had it before but that's because i manually installed the update but it's nice to see it being pushed out already to the tabs.

Yea, I got it on my Tab but not on my Nexus One, which is very surprising.

Hi,
The new market is funny !
But this morning, when i try to lunch My Applications, I have a problem of network :-(
Update: It's back 5 hours later !
So i was looking at droid life and i notice they showed a app the worked for the xoom for screens shots so i was like the atrix is the same thing as the xoom just smaller so i went to the app market and bamn it says it works for Atrix woah
http://www.droid-life.com/2011/04/2...includes-full-xoom-support-and-shot-previews/

Also the original post from the guy who made it on XDA

Very cool. Nice find!!

Finally something which can be used with android which doesn't require adb installation or anything such to do with your computer to take a screenshot... Go devs Go...
Works awesome. All the other screenshot apps were giving me errors about fb0 and not having root level access to lower level graphics. This one works right out of the store. Good job dev.
Screenshot It also works without root. I use it and I'm rooted but my wife uses it also and I have not rooted her Atrix.

Has anyone got Skygo working on the Nexus 7 yet?
Many thanks
Bump
I'm guessing it's another vase of Sky going to town on protection (like Skygo not working on routed devices)

Don't hold your breathe buddy. Development has come to a standstill getting skygo to work on rooted devices.
Keep an eye on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1506967
But it's dead at the moment. I highly doubt sky themselves will support the nexus 7 for a long long time. They released a brand new sky sports tv app this past week and it hasn't even got support for the galaxy s3 or One X. Ridiculous.

Cheers. I got SkyGo working on my S3 until I rooted it. I hope it isn't too long until the support SkyGo on the Nexus 7.

Haven't tried it for a while, but my S2 was running stock, but was rooted, I then used OTA root keeper from the the play store, and then it worked, I haven't tried it but can someone who is on a supported version of Android and is rooted check if that works?
I'd do it myself, but i'm on Cm10 JB on S2, and my Nexus 7 is obviously on JB too.

With my S3, I'm running Siyah Kernal and WanamLite rom. I have tried using 'hide my root' and 'Voodoo OTA RootKeeper' however SkyGo still pickups that my device is rooted. I've even tried remove Root in STweaks. I also use Triangle away.

Yeah I think you need stock kernel, I remember Siyah wouldn't work, that's why I've not installed any custom kernels as yet, hopefully Sky will release it for JB soon.

The sky website uses silverlight and requires the computer to be an authorised device. Won't work on tablets.
As far as i know sky go only works on a few devices, needs to be unrooted, and even then doesn't support jellybean and stops working when you upgrade to jelly bean.
Sent from my XT910 using Tapatalk 2
I got sky go to work on my galaxy note 10.1 through the browser? although of course its running ice-cream not jelly. could be why.

No sky go on android, sky I think are 'persuaded' by a rival fruit based company to make it as awkward as possible or impossible to watch sky on android it seems. Claim fragmentation issues. Not even the glaring popularity of n7 and no doubt the n10 has helped.
Bet it Works on iPad mini ! Coincidentally....
All they need to do is to ask guys who have written existing quality android apps to knock one up and write the cheque.
But no..!

would any body know where i could get my hands on htc touch pro 2s i have a taxi company and they use these in car as pda,s on win 6.5
Think on sky forums they say they testing a jelly bean version but only for a specific device. So one day it could all be happy days but they drag heels a lot. The skyF1 app is the only thing (plus music apps) I envy about ipad.
