[Q] Replace incoming call screen (andrd sense) - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hy guys, i'm really sick of the slide to answer sense screen that doesn't make any sense at all!
when the screen is off and a call comes in, it is a 99% chance that my pocket will answer or decline that call.
i did figure out a (sort of..) solution, by installing a little app that brings up a buttoned screen for answering\declining a call even when the phone is locked and a call comes in.
but since i installed it i started having issues with robot voice\flicking incall sounds, and other malfunctions SO i decided to reinstall android from fresh, and so this issue persists - i cannot answer a call normally when phone is in pocket.
i know this is NOT an issue only i'm experiencing, isn't there any way of replacing that stupid slider with another incoming answer\decline screen? maybe porting from another device? i'm certainly not a chef, and don't know my way around the android kitchen, but it just sounds really weird that there isn't a simple solution to this.. maybe replace the files associated with the slide answering screen.. i don't know..
I'm sorry if this came out feeling like someone is being accused, i'm just blowing off some steam here fellas..
if anything at all - i appreciate each and every one of you for an awesome job of cooking\testing\sharing\asking\answering\being simply the coolest developers gang on the net.

I am 100 % with you on this. The call answering thingie drives me crazy.. I mean, did htc even betatest this slider?! :/

Damn ppl, i like that slide to answer/reject call screen alot.. )

Software request for answering method by sliding

Hi guys. i been playing my new dopod 838 alot. love it heaps. thou its becoming slow atm for sum reason. needs to hard reset later. anyway i was wondering. any of the software developer here keen to try to make it possible for wizard to answer the phone by sliding out the keyboard and maybe the option of ending it as well by sliding the keyboard in? and top of this the ability to answer it automatically using speakerfone when using the slide method? just a thought since slider phones have this feature. some might think is dumb idea while i for one would like such a feature. i didnt believe anyone havent thought of the idea yet. thanks anyways guys. this forum rocks!!
I don't want to come over as negative and whatnot...but thats not really the best idea....in my view anyways.
When my keyboard is out, the last place i want to put the phone is next to my ear. If i wanted someting that big to talk into, i would of bought the Universal !
thats where the speakerphone comes in. say when u are doing something else and not practical to turn on ur bluetooth headset you can just slide the keyboard out and the phone is answered with the speakerphone on. seeing that our wizard have good speakerphone we can make conversation this way.
anyone? is there any registry entry that signals the landscape change when you slide the keyboard out?

IDEEA : Something like Diamond Profile Switcher

Can someone make an application similar with the Diamond Profile Switcher but when your phone is ringing and you don`t want to answer just shake and the phone goes silent (or mute ringing). ? This will be verry verry usefull for me. Thanks
Excuse my english...
You just need to turn around your Diamond (display down) while an imcoming call.
It is already possible to reject a call by putting the phone face down. Shaking seems a little inconvenient to me, as it'll likely register a shake when you get the phone out of your pocket.
So yeah, what he said ^
thak you very much.. i didn`t know about this option.. its exacly what i want..
face down is better for me because I cant imagine that the phone will ring in the middle of the meeting and Ill shake my diamond like crazy
I ll look like psycho to my boss maybe I ll be fired

My HD2 phone answers itself!

Hello, My HD2 phone has weirdest issue, when someone calls me, I can still hear the ring, the sound of the ringtone, but also I can hear the caller if he or she says something, or if the caller is not talking to someone near him, I hear in the background hie environment or some day day I have heard a police car siren, or today I have heard people speaking, the caller was in a office with people talking. The funny thing is that the caller does not know that the phone is answering, otherwise he or she would say hello to me so I guess that the call is not established. I have tried the ghost writer cab with reduced sensitivity but without success. Could it be a carrier issue? I'm on Vodafone RO with HD2 ROM 1.66.405 and radio 2.08.50.08.

Very strange. I think my phone sometimes answers by itself...not sure if I press the button or something cause I keep it in the pouch all the time.
Keep us posted
I have S2U2 installed , and the issue happens even when I leave the phone on a table. Maybe it has something to do with vibrating? Somehow the Answer/Ignore slider get itself moved when vibrating?
Nobody? Everybody has a perfect phone? Please help.
Ok, so I have heard on this forum that other people have strange screen behavior, and a fellow member has same problem as me. Now I have installed the ghost fix 3.2 and I am waiting for improvements. There is still no fix for automatic answer, and someone confirmed that the talking is heard in speaker, not in earpiece.

Are you using some custom lock screen that allows you to activate your dialer from the lock screen?
Hello,
no, I use the default lock. First I had a problem with incoming calls. I HD2 in my jeans pocket, and when someone calls, the call is accepted when extracting keys from his pocket. Therefore I am looking for a program that locks when you receive a call button. And I find that unlocking android sense is very simple, it needs a thin strip, like the iPhone. It seems to me that my phone is unlocked in my pocket.

Can't pick up calls lately

Hi
I'm not sure why I'm experiencing this lately but I use my LG G2 phone normally (surfing and listening to music...etc) but whenever I get a call and I try to swipe to pick the call, I found no response at all. As if I'm NOT doing any swipe at all and I end up missing the call. This happened many times losing calls for just not having a non-working touch screen whenever I get a call. This is driving me mad and I feel like I went totally wrong getting an LG instead of any other famous brand name like Samsung or HTC.
Any ideas are very well appreciated as I'm not quite ready financially to dump this phone yet!

This might be a stupid question, but do you have this problem when you are already using the phone? When you are using the phone already you don't swipe the screen, but you just press the answer button.
Lately I have the same problem. The phone and the touch screen is working correctly in every other situation.
The problem is only when I try to pickup the phone after around the 2nd ringtone. At that point the screen freeze. The buttons are still working, I can turn the screen on / off with the power button and mute the ringtone with the volume.
Anyone had resolved this issue?
