Sorry is this is a duplicate thread... but apparently 2.3 has a debug menu for the keyboard which is accessible from Anycut. The menu has a keyboard theme menu in it. with about 6 themes already in it.
1) From anycut... create a shortcut to ANdroid Keyboard Debug Menu
2) enjoy. I like the stone theme.
Nice find.

I dont know if such a thing has been created yet
Im looking for a simple application thats also customizable which is basically like icontact or tene's pocketcm that allows for start menu like app selection.
An application that takes all the entries in the start menu folder including settings and puts it into an Android style selection app that is very finger freindly.
i'll be willing to donate for such an app.
Try MortButtons! http://www.sto-helit.de/index.php?module=page&entry=mb_overview&action=view&menu=26
ehh.. im looking for a layout style like icontact and android's app menu selection screen
You can make your own skin! the only thing is, that you can't have that scrolling effect! But you can scroll one page with finger gestures!
can you post some screen or link, so we can see how it should look like!?
Throttle launcher may be the way to go.
Is there any tool to change default softbuttons? Or any hack able to replace ugly launcher tab with simple grid of icons of programs I want to launch directly? Default system with submenus is nice, but to actually run app you have to go through tons of submenus...
you can find infos+files and a link to the customize post here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=468547
customization is pretty much done like in with the original sbp-mobile-shell.
you have to change the xml-files in "qa_layouts.dat" and bitmaps in a vew other files.
- QuadWord
Problem is, that there is only tip to app called keyswop, but it changes global softkeys, not the ones used in SPB panel. I wanted to change Recent/Contacts at the bottom of screen to something else...
Any more tips?
Hi all. I know you're all going to say there is theme like that for WAD but WAD is slow and laggy.
My idea is very small and fast app that will replace today.
Features:
*D-pad Navigation
*Start Button mapped
*Programs, Settings, And Comm Manager - real shortcuts
*Side Bar clock (Optional)
nice idea! i would love an app like that too
Actually, there's already a project which simulates Vista interface - which is fully functional at this stage.
It's developed by Polish developers.
Have a look here:

and here the official site:

It says it's 'English version temporary isn't supported' but the software is in English.
Since the calculator has some nifty looking buttons, I was wondering if there was a way to mod the dialer buttons to use the calculator buttons instead?
try open home or some other home screen replacement. some of them have themes that change the buttons on the dialer. Or check out the themes section of the forums. Some of those themes modify the dialer buttons look.
I would rather not install one of the home alternative, they eat up too much memory and slow the phone way down. I wonder if its just some xml hacking, ill check it out in a bit
I installed some needed applications like chrome ccleaner on Win 8.There were shortcuts in Metro start menu. But as it was using default style Program icon and name was displayed on tile. Can i change it to make it looks like other built in Tiles?
Another question
I have removed(Unpinned) some tiles how to restore them?
Sorry for Bad English
Not sure about changing icons, but to restore pinned tems, swipe on the right side of your screen (to bring up small black side menu)and hit the search button. All the apps will be there, and you can repin them there.
The tile icon is just for apps. Default programs is 'doomed' to be this way.

Click to collapse
Just search the application you want to pin by typing it's name in the Start Immersive menu, then right-click on the application, finaly you can click Pin in the bottom bar that will appear...
