[Q] Help : Got HD2 but mostly stuck at "Stick Together" - HD2 General

Just got a HD2 but mostly stuck at "Stick Together"
Only a few times succed to boot properly.
Accessing Boot Loader is fine, no problem at all.
I want to know, can it be HSPL (How to do it and which HSPL to use), in order to make the HD2 boot properly and flash a custom Rom.
Here is the data of the phone below :
Thanks a lot before for anykind of help

Check out my thread, I had the same problem, Hope it helps.

See this post. Make sure you read everything in RED especially before proceeding.
It's strange that you have that problem. I had a similar issue when I first got my HTC HD2 from T-Mobile and it turned out to be a low battery issue. It just got used up overnight. Had to turn off a lot of things to save on the battery and actually switched to Android now. Using less than 20% power overnight now.

downgrade
Anybody think that i should downgrade from 2.10 to 2.08 ?
Will it be more stable
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=691779

well if you got your phone to work, i don't think you would need to do that, but you can ask some other mods and see what they say.

I plan to HSPL3 the HD2 (this can be used on 2.10.0000 if i am not misunderstanding) and then flash custom Rom.
What do you guys think ? Will it solve the problem ? Is it safe, just to confirm because i am afraid i brick the phone.
And why there is a "Downgrading SPL from 2.10.0000 (stock TMO) to 2.08" exist ?
Is the 2.10.0000 got problems ?

Did the HSPL3 and flash a Rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=791303 but still no luck, the phone is still stuck at boot screen.
Could it be the pin of the battery problem ?

just did reverting back to stock T-Mobile_HD2_MR_Software_2.13.531.1.exe and sucessfully 100%.
The SPL now is 2.10.0000 8G XE
But still no luck to pass the "Stick Together" screen.
Any suggestion ?

Vroomz
I have the same problem .... do you solved yours ?

i had the same problem with my hd2. but fortunately i sent it back to tmobile and the replaced it i would suggest doing that.

Returning phone to HTC

Heya ppl
My phone has a weird issue, Im goint to send it back to HTC. I went to HTC website and flashed their original latest rom, do i need to do anything else to send it back to them stock?
This is the rom filename:
RUU_BlackStone_HTC_NLD_1.56.404.1_Radio_52.62.25.34_1.13.25.24_Ship
This also has SPL, or do i still need to flash SPL, and what SPL version i need to flash?
Thnx alot in advance, take care!
FoOtY
whats the weird issue???... maybe somebody here can help you, which will prove it not so weird after all..
I flashed the stock SPL and ROM back, nothing more. My screen went bananas totally loosing it touch orientation i.e pressing something on the screen the pressure was 1-2cm above where i pressed(sure i dropped it on the street a few times accidently). They changed the whole screen, bazel and the only old part was the back cover that wasn't change. Prompt and fast service within the warranty period.

The problem is with my device screen. Suddely the screen goes all black and can't use it, it's like it's powered off but the phone isn't off. It still responds to the volume change keys (it still makes that annoing sound but the screen stays all black.
I have to get the battery out, sometimes it will start working again, sometimes I have to wait some time and pull out the battery out for a couple of times very strange.
It also happens when i flash the original rom from HTC (the one i mentioned in first post)
Can it be problem with the SPL? The original HTC rom has SPL included?
What can I do? I tried every rom on this forum, problem exists on every rom even original rom.
Do I still need to flash a SPL when using the original HTC rom from first post?
Thnx in advance guys
Peace!!
I put SPL 1.14 back and default rom.
Thanks for the reply!
My only question right now is, what SPL to use with this ROM:
RUU_BlackStone_HTC_NLD_1.56.404.1_Radio_52.62.25.3 4_1.13.25.24_Ship
SPL 1.13, 1.14, 1.15, or 1.54?
Thanks!
Edit: I hope to fix my device screen problem by flashing stock SPL.

I got the same problem on my HD (original ROM, never flashed) and I sent the phone to the HTC service.
Result: they changed the motherboard. So I suppose it is a hardware issue and not a ROM issue.
Had the same problem as well, was sent back already 2 times! Hardware problem in motherboard. What is this SPL? can you post the link with the thread?
thanx

1st one who killed the HD2 ;-(

I just HSPL my new T-Mobile 2.08 US HD2.
Worked soooo smooth. Thanks for that. Now the tricky part, I did not read detailed enough that the rom I flashed was a 1.66 based one.
now the HD2 is dead, no powerup, bootloader mode, reset or chargeing led.
Any way to safe it or back to t-mobile?
Thanks Guys
=( omg.... i was impatient too... I was downlaoding all these roms but remembered i didnt install the new HSPL thing.. and then i read the posts -_- sigh.. sorry man
I am so sorry man. Your best bet is to hope you can find a station where they'll work some factory reset magic on there...
Yeah. Sorry to hear that. I wish the SPL program would warn the user or refuse to install if it detected an old 1.66.
No brother
YWell Brother u and me both have to play the old hood wink on tmobile and play the it just died face so we can get a new one. Fortunatly we have 14 days if you kept your receipt, to take it back and nag saying it just shut of for no reason. Its hell of bricked, even HTC would have to completely take it apart to fix it, so no trace of anything would ever come back. the bad thing is their sold out everywhere till Tuesday or Wednesday. But ill wait its a bad ass phone. woooo! where do you live dude? in vegas?
I have read that you can microwave it for a few seconds and that kills it stone dead. No way they can tell what you flashed.
This is a very extreme method and an absolute LAST RESORT!!!!

remove your battery for 3 minutes and put it again and try ti lunch boot loader
Have you tried the SD card flash method.
You need to copy the original Tmob ROM file to your blank SD card, rename it to leoimg.nbh (i Think), and then try start in bootloader.

Which hspl did you flash and which rom?
the new one for 1024 T-Mobile 2.08.
Thanks for all replies,
For the Microvawe version, if you smash it with a hammer, has the same effect. Go Green.
No kidding, I ask for a repair solution not a Brick it more.
Bootloader is not working at all, so no SD way as well. And a rom based on 1.66. Smart as I am, I deleted the file.
Like I said, HSPL was great. Was still working after that.

I laughed my ass off so hard at that comment!
So I got it exchanged, I did the Hard spl and its fine so far. Still working.
Dont want to brick it again,
Is there any cooked German Rom that I can use on a USA T-Mobile HD2 based on 2.08?
To make my HD2 in German language?
(post removed, wrong thread)
This is why I'm choosing to wait a little bit before jumping in and flashing my TMOUS HD2. I don't have the 'cajones' to be a guinea pig! I'm waiting until everything plays out and the process is tried and proven safe.
For now I'm enjoying the stock TMOUS Rom, and applying tweaks here and there. I'm running into bugs and annoyances here and there, but don't feel a strong urge to flash roms just yet...especially when so many others are having issues!
Yeah, when it comes to the software side of this phone, I just take it all in with the regular rom and see what I REALLY want out of it as far as options and whatnot. THEN I get to the rom goodies after a lot of review and feedback.
Hardware I'll dissect the guts if I have to anyday though.

I think you'd be much better off browsing all the thread titles in the ROM Development section looking for a rom that is [GER] and [2.08+]/TMOUS based
As long as it's been taken off a TMOUS device, it will work on your TMOUS device

he he. I know it's hilarious. As I said, absolutely last resort if you are taking it back for warranty cos if they find any spl other than factory one your warranty is void straight off the bat. Nice to see you got a replacement without problems.
I just read that advice from another post here on the forum and it is way extreme!!!
As posted above - any rom based on tmous original roms should work. Good luck

YOU might use BSB Tweaks and choose manila language in the menu.
I bet it is based on the tool that downloads the needed manila files from the internet.
Try searching for the tool here on xda or use BSB tweak (but there is a solution to get it fully working german!)

[Q] Sending it back -- warranty

Hello all! I'm so sorry if you feel like you've been seeing this topic everywhere and I have too, except for one thing.. I haven't gotten one, clear answer to it.
My phone had been acting horribly the past month: freezing, then frozen after battery pull at the stick together sign, then loading up again, then freezing. It would only work if I could be quick enough to turn Sense off. I love Sense though. and for the few months before that I'd had it, it had been working perfectly with Kumar's Premium ROM. Now, I have already received a new("like new") HD2 from T-Mobile because it was still covered under warranty, HOWEVER, since I had flashed many custom ROMs, I had to take HSPL off. I did this by flashing the stock TMobile upgrade (2.13) from their website from my SD card.
My question is: Is there anything else I have to make sure to take off the phone other than HSPL and custom ROM? When I go to the Bootloader, it shows that there is no HSPL and only SPL 1.42something. Is there anything else that can cause me to lose the warranty once they get the phone itself, because from what the lady told me, if they determine that the phone isn't under warranty, they can charge a pretty hefty amount.
if bootloader really shows spl
1.42something

then you don't have a tmous, you have
a regular hd2.
you need to double check that before you go any further.
Now this is gonna be hilarious if he got a refurb unit from T-mo, that somebody had previously flashed a euro ROM/spl on!
lol, and of course tmo would say 'oh no, that couldnt happen, its YOUR fault', hehe

Sorry for the confusion..now I feel dumb. But no, the SPL is: 2.10.0000

it should be fine then.
if you wanna double check, download the 2.13 rom from tmous website and flash that via usb.

Is that necessary if I did that through SD card first? I'm only being a pain on this post because the phone won't even stay on long enough for me to do/check anything so I wanted to ask if there was anything else. I think I might just send it back and see what happens.!
Thank you all
no, not necessary. the 2.10.0000 is the important part. it will be fine.
Thank you very much for the help
Case closed and now so is this thread

Hd2 with white screen

Wuttup guys! Its been a while since I used winmo, I put a nand rom on my boys hd2 and it was great for a month or so. Now the screen is white on boot. Bootloader comes up so im assuming its not bricked. Don't have a pc to check things out for now. Any ideas what's going on? Im pretty knowledgeable of android and various devices. Thanks for any help you can give me! (thanks button hint hint)

So... are you flashing a windows mobile rom, or an android rom, or are you not flashing at all and this is a random problem... I would check the Radio and HSPL versions are compatable with what you are flashing, if you are flashing.
Its a nand android rom. It ran completely fine for a month

Ok, so I got nrg's rom to flash from sd. I remember from my days of the tp2 and u had to do a battery pull after install from sd to reboot. In this case, hit the soft reset. Is this still the right procedure? Either way its still got wsod. Something interesting though when I pulled the phone apart... The void sticker was broken and the outer rim around the speaker was nicked. As if its been taken apart b4. Update your radio. To at least 2.12 or higher. I'm using 2.15.50.14 thats pretty much everybody uses.
I second that, I'm more fan of 2.12, which consumes less Battery

Also have a similar problem. I was running magldr 1.12 with a nand droid build and I had HSPl 2.08 and radio 2.15.50.14. Now I think magldr crashed and now the phone boots into a white screen. I can get the tri-colour bootloader but when I try and flash a stock wm6.5 rom through USB I get a communications error. Any ideas or input would be much appreciated
My phone was also getting in to the tri-colour screen, but after that a white screen.
Couldnt get rid of it, not even by installing a WM6.5 official rom, or doing a task29 .. or anything that would help me fix it. (any radio etc etc)
Brought it back for repair and they replaced my screen, working great again.
Pretty weird cause u can get in the tri-colour screen, wich would mean there should nothing be wrong with the screen itselfe
Yea I can't flash a radio, it hangs at about 20% progress with an sd flash, then fails

TMOUS vibrates seven times every boot?

I have several HD2's my cousin wants me to fix for him. I'm not exactly new at this but I'm having some strange issues. For one the phones are vibrating exactly seven times after every boot up and then freezing. Tried flashing a few different radios, changed spl from 2.10.0000 to 2.08.hspl (planning on getting magdlr on there. Just can't boot the sucker. The phone is trying to tell me something in Morse code or something with the seven consecutive vibrations but I don't know what it might mean.
Any clues? Hardware or software related? Is the phone a paperweight? Any help is good help.

if i was you i would boot in the tri colour screen (hold power+volume when phone is off) run hspl, than run task 29, than install a radio thats 576 ram compatible[ 2.15.x.50] radio, than magdlr, im sure you will be ok let me know how it goes! thanks
I'm pretty sure that 7 vibrations is a code from the qualcomm cpu (related to overheating?) which means its a hardware problem.

It's not taking. Regardless of radio version it stops at 96%. I'm using 2.08.hspl and task 29 but I can't get passed the radio without the seven vibrations and the 96% freeze. If it is hardware is there any forum related to this?

I'm pretty sure I tried all software recovery possibilities. I could be wrong though. Is there a better wipe than Task29? And I get a bit confused about the radios. 2.*.50.* is what I've seen around the forums to be compatible but how do I know it's a 576? I haven't put android on these yet so does 6.5 need a kernel? I didn't think so but I'm open to correction.
Jwchips: thanks for that link. It's not my money invested in the phones but if my cousin gives me the go ahead I'm going to try it.

I have not heard it called 576, but I believe this the T-Mobile US phone. It will have the T-Mobile logo on the front.
