Team Komin (The New QAM)

Hello Everyone,
If you have not read there was a post made by vbhines wanting to start a group named QAM which is a development group completely for the android community (specifically the samsung captivate for the moment). This means no more flaming, no more trolling, no more blaming other people for stealing, no more fighting!
"We are a community for the community."
My plans for this group is to help improve the experience of any phone that we develop for. We will help out anyone that is in need meaning that if an app or a kernel or anything that will help improve the experience of android on our phones we may or may not make that specific item that is requested or wanted etc.
Since we are a community for a community everything we will be releasing will be open source so whatever way we choose (more then likely on github) to release the source of our work you will be able to get it. Our documentation will be the best possible.
We will always be looking for more contributors to this group/cause. It doesn't matter what you can do it only matters if you help out and don't ruin the work flow . Developers will always be in need as well as UI/Graphic Designers. People that will help out with documentation would be fantastic so that we will always be well organised. We would like this group to be as diverse as possible.
We want to be a much more mature development group so our releases will be well tested so updates come less often which means your experience will be much better since you do not have to flash so often.
We already have quite a good backing by some new up and coming developers who have quite a nice background and we are hoping for more backing by the rest of the community.
I will be updating this more and more because there are more things to come.

Hi everyone, I would really love to help this open source project along! However im afraid my only actually skills are a little bit of photoshop manipulation. I would appreciate it if everyone listed good books or web pages to learn programming from. Its been one of my many dreams to actually develop for android . but on-topic: im really glad to see something finally being done with this, i could definitly take any test roms for a spin.

Alright guys the site is up and running I just need to setup categories for the forum and we should be good to go! Everything should be done by today depending on how fast I finish up homework etc. I am hoping it will be done though.
We will start a lot more development this weekend. Since I wont have anything to do plus I have 2 weeks off.
The plans for this weekend is to setup a hierarchy and actually establish developers etc.

I'm going to hop over to irc tomorrow. I'm best on the debugging end, but not yet in apk modding minus the lg launcher below. I've got to crash this evening, but ill be around tomorrow eve.
(Did also try and help xcal with alittle on his kernel and the headset issue, but he ended up cracking it himself... him and I went back and forth with pms for weeks....)

I would love to help however I can. I have some Java and C experience (not a whole lot, i can debug) and extensive web design experience. Let me know.

[on vacation] from everything

Hey Gang, Just wanted to let everyone know I'm currently out on vacation and will be for another week or so(longer if I have my way). Please take this into regards when in need of help pertaining to any of my posts, etc. In the interim although I will try and check periodically if anyone gets in a bind and is in more expeditiously in need of help please hit up one of the other developers and I'm sure you will be taken care of.

I'm post here because the rom not finished yet, beside that, there's a chance @jlmancuso (I hope) willing to make a thread in development section.
Rom running well and stable enough on ds, but still have few bugs that cannot solved by myself.
So far, there are 2 main problems
1) Main settings and Cyan settings not show up, only blank screen. Logcat attached

My ROM will be based of source but it is still a few weeks away as my computer parts are slowly trickling in and I need to update the S7 roms.

Hello there Streakers!!! This will be one of the greatest roms yall will ever run. I have been working on the Evo 4g version (Evo 3d, and Evo shift also in works) and it has been a huge hit. I have been very busy with those three and have not had a chance yet to give the streak a shot on compiling. I hope to have a few free hours this week to try and make a couple of builds for yall to test.
This is a beast of a rom and unfortunately the heart of it is not working in this port. The settings (main and CyanMobile) give you the ability to customize this rom in ways that no other rom before it has been able to do. It can look like a simple vanilla GB Aosp rom, a highly modified Jb Aokp style rom, or any combination in between. These are not themes that you and in to get a look but actual changes in the framework and UI. Well enough pumping yall up for now time to get back in my kitchen and finish cooking up goodies.
I suggest yall take the time and check out my thread in the Dev section that is posted in the Op and also I am working on a thread in the general section to aid users in finding their way in the settings of this beast. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=2305750 It is a bit empty right now because I have been busy on a new kernel along with knocking out the last of the bugs in this things. Although I have 5 reserved post so you can bet it will be something big.

I do not own a streak myself but then again I dont own an evo shift and I was still able to make a simi-functional rom for them also. So keep your fingers crossed and we might just get lucky.

Wow...... that what I call a real dev, willing to make rom even you don't have the device. Don't worry, sure there were plenty tester would help you.
Beside that, here we have a few nice dev will give a hand. Sharing means caring.

Alright guys I am ready to start work on yalls rom. First off I have some of the source needed to make this but I am missing a few pieces. I will be looking through the development section tonight and trying to get the rest of what I need to start this project. If there are any dev's for the streak willing to team up on this I would be more than willing to make this a group project.
As yall already know ports are a very poor way (most times) to bring a rom to a new device. Porting brings more problems than anything else. With source things just work better the first time around. I have the source pretty much cleaned up and fixed just about every problem there was with the Og Evo. Now it is time to get this bad boy onto the Streak 5!!

Well thank you. The big thing I need right now are the proprietary files for the streak. I have been told that the streak is very similar to the evo 4g but without the actual files I am kind of stuck in the mud. I am downloading the cm7 roms posted in hopes that I can extract the needed files. So wish me luck cause the streak has almost no aftermarket support. It looks like a nice device but few have done much with it. I hope I can help out but only time will tell.

Note 5 Nethunter Supported Kernel

Hi guys,
I just wanted to start a thread to try and get a kernel compatible with Nethunter. I feel there's a few users that would really use this and I'm one of them.
I would like to start with saying that I would donate if someone could get this off the ground, and anyone who joins this should donate also. I'd assume it would be quite a task so I understand the effort required.
Anyone has any comments or ideas, please post and we might be able to get this going!
