Hi
Ive recently been gifted a T-mob samsung galaxy tab. I had a few questions about the same, would be very glad if someone could answer them for me
1) Is it possible to flash it with Indian/Asian firmware? I did some reading aand found out that flashing with euro firmware is possible, so this sould also be possible? If so, can someone point me as to where i might get more info on this?
2) Once flashed, and connected via Kies, if a new firmware of that region is released, would it automatically update to the new version or it will have to be done manually again?
3) Is it possible to flash back to original t-mob firmware should i need to avail warranty in the future?
you help is appreciated.

Flashing to Asian firmware is possible. I did it with Korean Firmware. However, it is useless in U.S. Market. If you are trying to flash it due to language, I would look for other solution rather than changing the whole rom.

Most likely it will need to be done manually.

Yes it is possible to flash back to T-mob firmware. Check Rotohammer's Roto backup process.
Hi All,
My UK model Tab2 10.1 purchased fully unlocked , has the following:
Baseband: P5100XXLE4
Build : P5100XWBLF1 (4.0.4 firmware build).
I want to try Jelly bean, but I need to be able to get back to XWBLF1 in the event of problems.
I cant find a downloadable image of it, by any of the usual suspects(e.g. samfirmwares) to flash back with odin
I cant find a tool that will "reverse odin" my XWBLF1 firmware to my pc so I can revert if necessary in the future.
Can anyone either point me in the direction of an appropriate image or firmware backup tool please ?
Many thanks in advance

Hi guys,
I see several Roms in the Rom Section that require to flash a new Bootloader and Modem.
I can't find any explanation why this is needed or what it changes.
Afterr flashing those. Is it than necesarry to reflash stock if you want to try another Rom.
Would be glad if someone could please elaborate on this topic a little bit.
Thanks

But before flashing anything make sure your device version is supported by the rom. I am in canada and have a w8 version device, not all roms support this device.
You need a new bootloader and modem, if you are upgrading to marshmallow or adding a custom rom. As the older roms do not support 6.0.1 and custom roms have a base from a different device (usual F series of the international devices). You would then reflash the bootloader and modem for your particular version if recommend by the rom developer to take advantage of certain features like radio (modem), volte if supported. It also depending on where you are reads your sim card and imei correctly.
no you do not need to back to stock to flash another rom just follow the rom developers installation instructions. If you have any questions, it is usually best to post in the rom thread as developer or someone who is very familiar with that particular rom can get the help you need.

My grandma bought a J5008 from her visit to China. The problem is that most of the stuff is in Chinese.
I was wondering if it is possible to flash a ROM that is fully in english. J500F seems to be the Indian version of The Galaxy J5. Can I flash J500F's stock ROM on J5008? If yes, then how? If not, is there any other solution to my problem?
Except that internal storage every thing is same as j500f.u can try by reset your mobile.while its opening as like before there u can change ur language to english(united kingdom)..
Flash custom rom for your model by Nick Verse CM12.1-http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-1-samsung-galaxy-j5-t3468830
yes no
You can try flashing the Indian version of the ROM. Search in Google for a proper version. I suggest you upgrade to 6.0 if your phone was in 5.0 or 5.1.
Friends
After trying different roms and finally decided to make my own pre rooted rom for personal use.
