[Q]HTC elf : Cannot Hard Reset/Read info.

I have a HTC ELF 0100 i want to change the language to english but i cant make anything. I try to hard reset the phone but this also is impossible. there is Windows mobile 6.1 installed in it.
Things you might need to know:
I HOLD the green and red Button and click on reset - for hard reset but nothing happens
To update an english rom i need to CID unlock. but this also fails saying ERROR 260.
And when try to upload a COOK rom it says ERROR 260 and the HTC screen become black i.e standy mode. it does not goes to the BOOTLOADER mode!
Where is the PROBLEM please help urgent !!

im sorry to tell u, but probably u dont have and elf. its a clone.
search the forum for clone info.

But i can assure you it an original one. Not clone or china made. But one things is that the battery is not an original one.
But i can assure you that the mobile is original. Not a China made.

Use dsixda's All-in-one tool (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=418892 ) to find the specific type of your phone.

Hi man thx for the REPLY but this also i tried !! it does not shows anything !! Only giving Data UNKONw or something like that!
I was able to install ENABLERAPI.cab to make the above PROGRAM work.
i want to know why the ElF is not able to HARD RESET.... I HOLD the TWO BUTTONS [red&green] and PRESS RESET but it never enter the HARD reset..
Very Strange and time comsuming for me i need a REAL solution !!

Big chance your phone is a fake.. I'm sorry man..
Perhaps if you posted some pictures of your device (also the backside without the cover, and one without the battery) some might be able to help you figure out what's going on.

All what you mentioned : No hard reset, No bootloader, No Data with mtty mean one thing this is a chinese clone of ELF and you will find no solution here

i installed one of the ROM downloaded from here ...
and it brick my device ...
what should i do ? :`(

p.s. i cant install other ROM

i got the problem solved =)
guess it came from it self couse i was nurvios )))
i entered the hard boot menu pressed the UP (volume) button and then pressed 2 time i think the up(coluve) and down(volume) then it not entered the boot option but connected the USB ...
i installed other ROM and its working fine again ... )))))

so far I have seen 1000 people on xda developers that assume to have bricked their phone...and probably 1 out of 1000 has truly done something stupid to brick his phone.

And then there are the 999 who think they have done something clever, but still bricked their phone...

i had my luck on this one =)

i guess i was celebrated too early...
i tryed to delete the HSPL
by the video tut ... ( yeh yeh ... what can be more easier )
well ...
it says to get a stock rom ( i did it )
it say to put it on the SD after formating it to 32 bit ( i did it )
then hard boot ... ( i did it )
power button ...
and ........... puff ...

Tryed to install the HSPL again ...
the install is successfull. ... but no change on the device ...

you have used the wrong rom.
you must use the correct rom that was on the phone when you got it.

Or the correct region. In doubt, just enter your phone's serial number on the HTC download page (here for 1.66) to make sure you get the correct official rom.
Then extract it, put the nbh on your card, etc.

hhmm .... i had the hong kong rom originaly ...
maybe it means i have to download it from an hong kong htc site ?

I have a similar problem.
I have the same screen at boot, but when I try load anything my device as stuck in progress bar (0%) even for shipped rom’s…
This happens when I try load a shipped rom from SD. Before that I have loaded several cocked rom’s from SD without problem.

the fix...
hold volume up and down together and insert the USB cable then run a different or a good ROM

Bricked friends hd2!!!?!?
PLEASE HELP... I was trying to install android throught NAND on my friends hd2,, in the process of flashing the ROM via Magdalr or whatever.. it froze so i pulled the battery.... and it doesn't turn on. I've pulled the battery on my other friends HD2 so im confused as to why this one in particular does not turn on! PLEASE HELP!!! SHE'LL KILL ME IF SHE FINDS OUT!!!

Did i brick my phone??
So my brother was trying to do who knows what to my hd2 and now the hd2 powers on and it says "stick together" (its a t-mobile hd2) and it just stays on that screen.. I'm not the most tech savvy person so bare with me... usually below where it says "stick together" it would show a bunch of numbers and codes and after a few seconds it would load windows mobile and the phone would work fine. However, mine just stays on the stick together and theres no more of those numbers and codes on the bottom.
Did he just brick my phone? And if he did... HOW THE HECK DO I FIX THIS???

Heh I'm in the process of doing my very first flash to get a full install of Andriod 2.2 on my HD2, once I find out a specific answer I've been looking for I'm gonna start the process

I just bricked my HD2 (USA T-Mous). I tryied update RADIO when was progress on PC 100% in PDA 96% and freezed. I just pulled battery and phone is bricked. When I connect to PC via USB, i can listen twice short plug sound and this is all. No bootloader, nothing. Any reason? Thanks

Did you try to turn on your mobile pushing "vol down" to load usb mode ?
After that, you can flash an official rom.
That "saves" my Leo...

if the radio had 51 in the version (example 2.07.51.xx) then it is a brick, dead, gone.

Did you have any luck? Does your device have HSPL? Let me know if you still need assistance.

hi i'm looking for a motherboard htc hd2 bricked? can you sell yours?

white HTC boot screen after ANDROID -> no reaction whatsoever

Hi XDA Devs,
I've managed to break my HD2.
I was in ANDROID and shut down the phone over A. since then:
It's stuck on the white boot screen with the HTC logo (without any numbers in the left low corner).
No usb connection, no further sign of hope.
Hard reset, battery out -> nothing seems to help.
Do you got an idea how to get my HD2 working?

HD2 was running on:
2.10 radio (Vodafone Germany)
Artemis 24

Get into the bootloader mode ! do a task 29 format ..once it is completed again get into the bootloader mode and then flash the rom u were using ! cheers

I've managed to get into the bootloader mode and perform task 29.
Right now I'm tryin to upload artemis 24 to my phone but its either stuck at 0% or somewhere between 35%-60%. never came further than that AND it always takes awefully long!
EDIT: now its always 0%. I'm flashing with SSPL_RUU.exe
Do you got an idea how I'm able to fix that?

ok ..do one thing ..enter bootloader ..perform task 29 again ...then again bootloader ...change ur radio to 2.07.50. ...u will find this radio in the energy rom thread ..once u have flashed the radio ...enter bootloader again and flash the latest energy rom .:. forget abt the artemis rom for now ..do this and then tell me

My HTC HD2 is not reacting when i touch the screen!!
Hi.... I have an HTC HD2... i have 3 months since i bought it... ever since the phone was working awsome... but like 3 weeks ago the phone started working really slow.. so i decided to do a factory reset to solve the problem... after the phone was rebooted it worked about 10 min perfectly fine.. then it locked as it usually dose (when its not in use).. but when i tried to unlock the phone,the screen was not reacting.. the problem is NOT that the screen dose not display.. the problem is that when i pass my finger throgh the screen to unlock,it dosnt work.. its like freezing... i tried to upgrade the ROM but it still gives me the same problem!!!
Is there a way i can fix this problem??? if there is i would really apreciate youre help!!! Thanks...

Skin Is Not Loaded :(

hi my friends.
I changed my jasjar's tomal 6.1 rom to Original WM5 for sell my phone
but after changing rom, i have a terrible problem.
when i closed the battery for change the simcard and turn it on. when the windows logo appears a blue screen showed and the gsm led begin to work (blinker).
after several soft resets the windows starts and ready to work but when i press the power button to standby the device (sometimes) for turn on the device (after standby) the screen didn't appear.!!
i'm very upset
after that i flashing the radio to newer version (1.18) and flash back to WM6.1 TOmal , WM6 , ... but i still have this problem.
in the tomal's wm6.1 rom (TML_v82_WM61_19960) before the problem shown an error appears under the windows logo > The Skin Is Not Loaded < and after that a black or blue screen appears and nothing...
please help me to fix it.

Only thing I can think of is to doc-format (mtty). And then flash ROM again. Then make sure you Hard Reset.

It's not harmful - basically it totally wipes the device removing everything (including garbage). So you will, of course, need to flash a ROM afterwards.

[Q] T-Mobile HD2 Died

Plz help .... installed a wrong ROM for HTC HD2 on my T-Mobile HD2, now it stopped responding totally, no power, boatloader not showing, the orange led not working when connecting the charger.
Is there anyway i can fix that?

When you plug in the USB connector to the phone and computer and turn the phone on, does it power on?
If it does, then get into boot loader then flash an official tmo rom.

all signs that you flashed a rom containing a ..51.. radio.
options
1 - JTAG it. (expensive, tricky)
2 - warranty repair (dont mention flashing)
3 - paid repair (around $140 i believe)

Ok well it seems like a radio brick then, and since you don't feel like providing more info you should just stick with samual's 3 options. Good luck.

i also did the same thing to my phone i tryed to load a stock rom russia version and now my phone has no led when plugged in, wont turn on dont do anything. is there a fix for this????

Your options are in post 4. But like I previously stated, explaining your device version, ROM, SPL and flash method helps a little more to understand what type of brick it is.

hey man i did the same i instaled 1.66 rom in my t-mobile very dumb !!! but in the end after 2 weeks of searching i found service for it , if you still have the phone contact me
