Hi everyone, I hope you can help me with this problem. I'll give you all the details I can remember.
About two days ago, I flashed the Latte rom on an E400g and something went wrong. I used the instructions for the sdmerge version (wipe all, flash step 1&2, then the rom) but when I tried booting it up, it went into an infinte loop. I read that I needed to flash an official firmware using kdz updater, but I couldn't find a working link anywhere (they are either broken of stop at the incorrect file size... the files are supposed to be about 150-160mb but they stop downloading at 2mb or 48mb for example, so I haven't even tried using them). After looking some more, I found a post on a blog that said that I could flash a stock rom and then use the PC Suite to update. So I did, but now it wont past the boot logo. Also, I can't access recovery anymore, I suppose it got deleted when I flashed the stock rom.
So now, as I understand it, my only option now is to put the phone in emergency mod (that works, already tried), and flash the official firmware using kdz updater. Problem is, as stated above, that I cant find a good link for dowload - or at least I think they aren't good because of the size of the files. What can I do, is there a working source for downloading the firmware that you know of? Or maybe someone has a firmware I can use and can upload it?
Thank you all for any help you can give me!
Hey guys, sorry I have been away for so long and am not updated... anyway, I have been downloading different 5.1.1 roms (samfirmware and sam updates) for my N910C and everytime I try to unzip, it says the file is corrupt...
Can anybody please tell me what has changed? Whay can't I unzip the downloaded files?
I only want the official rom, and am not rooting my phone for now.
Thanks

I recommend using Samfirm
thanks for the recommendation. My question has not been answered though, what has changed, and why do we need to use another tool now? Thanks
If you want to know the changelog for stock 5.1.1 then I strongly recommend you read it. Google is your best friend. What are you talking about another tool?
There is only one tool for Samsung to flash stock roms and it's called odin so nothing has changed there. If you are using kies to upgrade then expect the worst as the outcome seems like random events. 25% of the time kies ****s up.

I am not asking about changelog, I am asking why are the downloads from samfirmware and samsung-updates , when I try to unzip them are all corrupt.. then someone recommended the tool above to download the firmware... that is why I am asking what is changed, and why do I need a tool to download the firmware now??? Whay can't I just download straight from samfirmware and unzip the file like it was before?
BIG thanks
I had the same problem, the zip file corrupted while trying to unzip. But I just waited until WinRAR finish unzipped it. And successfully flashed the md5 with Odin.
I had the same problem with Winrar.
With 7zip no problem.
And I install the new Rom.
Everything is Ok.
Sent from my SM-N910F using XDA Free mobile app
No problem with WinRar here. Check your Internet Connection: if it's unstable, the file will be downloaded and even MD5 hashes could match, but the file still will be corrupted and if you manage to unzip it it could lead to multiple errors in odin.
Thanks to those who tried to help... I donwloaded the new WinRAR and donloaded the 5.1.1 "SEE" and flashed it on my phone... worked perfectly and I have not wiped my phone after flashing, seems to be working great...

Please please please guys !! I really need your help with my tablet lenovo a3000 !!
my tablet stuck at the logo screen !! I can access the recovery menu I tried factory reset and wipe data 5 times and it didn't help at all !!
my 2 pcs can't recognize my tablet '' the MTK thing won't appear in device manager " already downloaded the drivers on my both pscs with no luck the tablet only charges !!
I notice in the recovery menu I can install zip file there !! so I figured out the only way to install the stock rom is to flash it via recovery menu since my pcs won't recognize the tablet !! I just need the stock rom in a zip file flashable via recovery menu !! anyone can provide me the file it would be really really appreciated please guys it's really urgent !!
It seems that we all have the same problem with this A3000 H device but is seems that people in this forum don't want to help each other. Why is that? We just all need a proper .zip file with a backup that is flashable or restorable from Sd card and job done but where to find such files? I tried to find in some russian forums but they're also not flashable, I almost tried every file that is suitable for flashing through the recovery these files are not just simple .img but must be made as an official Ota updates by its structure with all the meta files and etc. And I bet If we find the proper files we could be able to restore our devices but I started to think that there many people that just do not want old devices to be restored! ): I personaly have such an ota update file but it's only 6mb and when flashing it the process stopped at the half ot it and I know why because we are already rooted and these files are only for the original rom. Mine is 14027 and probably pc stops recognizing the tablet from USB when we all flash it with that rom. So if you have a custom rom installed you have already made my mistake too, but I'll do everything to restore it somehow because the device should work properly and it is working properly I just have to manage to get through this boot loop stuff, I' m sure mine is still working but I' m affraid I did not make a backup so now I'm stuck as well! The only option for us is to flash it through the recovery but with the files I have stored at once there' s an error with the Contacts.app at the half way of flashing. Do I need to delete that app and try again? I can upload the file I have somewhere but it was an update from the OTA and didn't remember which rom was it for . It must have been... 1309 or 11, but not exactly sure and it's only 6 mbs but we could probably use it for something. I think the only option for us is becoming developers. Why don't you give us any backups from your personal roms so we could restore our devices?
Does this tablet stopped working for us all, I hope not so we could start helping each other again?
I am a smart guy and know exactly the reason why our old devices stopped working because of the google play apps and updates that are not suitable for us anymore like messenger, facebook lite and etc. It' s not our fault guys!
I'm not gonna buy a new tab because someone is telling me to do that I will try restore mine own Lenovo A 3000 H somehow with a little help of course!
jOdin3
hey all,
this is the first non-nexus phone i've used, and I am excited about flashing the U firmware to get a clean stock experience on my g930v. I was wondering what files i should input in jOdin under the PDA/Bootloader/CSC/Phone fields after I extract the zip file SM-G930U? I have searched tried to watch some insufferable youtube videos on the matter have had no luck finding an answer. Also since I'm asking, is it possible to flash this firmware with jOdin3, sorry for the newbie questions, didn't know where else to go.
Thanks in advance to any helpful replies.
Solved the above, no need for replies.
Next though is when I try and flash using Jodin3 the pit file is acquired, the phone reboots and then it stays disconnected and I am unable to start the process after the phone reboots. Any suggestions?
Solved the above by using heimdall to extract pit.
I am close to giving up and flashing anything via jOdin3 I have tried pretty much everything to flash new firmware with no success, latest error is that there is a corrupt file, need to use Odin file...
HAS ANYONE had success flashing a Verizon S7 on macOS? if so please tell me where to look otherwise going to sell this for an 930F version.
