Phone was running fine and I loved it, but hated how the bottom lights would stay on as long as my screen. It's annoying at nights so I downloaded this mod to fix the backlights to only show for 10 seconds instead of it following my phone's display timeout. Ever since then, the signal in the notification bar has been wacky. I used to have full Wi-Fi and at least 2 bars of signal. Now the phone shows only 1 bar of Wi-Fi and no bars for signal, yet I can still send out messages and etc. Anyone know the problem?
tl;dr - fascinate running dj05 wanted to change the backlight settings to 10 seconds with mod. Now signal bars are always low, but everything works fine. Just want my signal to show how much I have normally. Thanks in advance.

I'm using MDJ gingerbread.
My 4 network bars, and my 4 wifi bars, seem to randomly change, sometimes they're white, sometimes they're green.
However, the battery is always green.
Can somebody please tell me what is going on here?

On my brothers a500 the wifi bars on the notification bar keep randomly turning white. Does anyone know a reason for this or a fix?

IIRC, the white wifi bars usually means it's connected but not getting any data. This is normal if the device has been snoozing and should fix itself in a few seconds.
Gestures are not working properly, I feel the proximity sensor is just shutting down the screen not the touch, I sometimes notice my notification bar dragged down after disconnecting the call and my speaker phone turns on automatically while talking on call, near the city border and little ahead... I noticed my signal was gone for 8-10 mins (could be airtel issue). Capacitive lights sometimes doesn't shut down even after turning off the screen
Any of you noticed any bugs ?

If you face too much issues,clean flash the stock ROM once.

Sounds like it was a bad install or something was messed with. I would say that just restoring a clean install should help.
Anyone get where occasionally the signal bar just goes blank with no bars? When happens I have no internet tillnit comes back on.

So my edge light notifications work but not with Signal, that is what i want.
in detail.
When the screen is on, i can see notifications, when it's OFF and you get a message they do not show but it does vibrate, i tried every single option possible on the phone. (maybe it depends which ones you switch on FIRST?)
If you get a phone call, they work OK.
I want to turn them on for messages with Signal with screen OFF. is there a magic setting?
i was playing with settings earlier and i managed to have it work but only on one of my S8s i have here, then restarted and "lost" it.
Whatsapp/telegram/ messages working fine but not Signal, that's an app i really like for security help.
does anyone know?
