I understand that there is a fully functional youtube app provided by HTC to HTC devices. I am wondering if there is any word on a similar or the same app being ported to our samsung devices; or if microsoft will be making an official youtube app supporting HQ over 3g for our beautiful Super AMOLED screens ?
There is one app that currently supports HQ YouTube videos. It's called RealTube but it's not free and it also searches for videos outside of YouTube.

Does anyone know the best you tube player that will work well with 6.5?
This is a question and belongs in the Questions and Answers section... and you can try using the official HTC one or YouTubePlay which is made by a member on the forum. (Use the search function and you'll find it)
In my opinion the youtube app of kinoma play is the best.
Hi,
you can also try ffplay. Its free and open source. http://www.ffmpeg-wince.org ... Bye
i have kinoma free play, its nice but some youtube videos don't play. have the htc youtube app(haven't ever had a problem playing videos) and also have the official youtube app
i like the HTC one the best. kinoma has cool animations but as i said wont play alot of the videos. and the official app plays good. best quality out of those 3 have got to be the HTC app(which has a choice for quality if you have a slow connection)
easiest one you get working on any windows mobile device and watch all the videos would be the official youtube app http://www.youtube.com/yt_mobile_app
why don't you just use the Official YouTube application from YouTube.com this is the link m.google.com/youtube
I was at the best buy store today and looked at the nexus s and I must saw im very impressed. Anyhow the guy in the store was talking about it having youtube 2.0 and being able to edit videos is this true?

Youtube app is exactly the same as on my Evo as far as I can tell.
Do you see issue with audio sync when playing youtube video?
I know the iPad will block lots of content, for no reason?
I accidentally discovered this after watching a Vevo video on my laptop but then when I tried searching for the same video on the iPad, it wouldn't even show up in the results.
Don't have my Xoom yet to test out.
Nope the android youtube app for honeycomb and froyo both have Vevo videos. I haven't seen any mobile blocked videos like I used to on my phone six months ago.
I was not aware of blocked content on the iPad, but no, by the looks of the the Xoom has everything youtube normally would.
I may have done something wrong, though I don't know how I could have, but "I Need a Doctor" by Dr. Dre from his VEVO channel would not play/load. Said it could not be loaded on mobile.
I tried this video on the Best Buy demo when I went to look at it. I was trying to think of a HD video I could play to try and see how it displayed. Since I just watched it previously, I knew it had 720p.
Can anyone play it on their xoom?

Vevo has it's own app, they don't show up in the normal android app, I don't think they ever did. Possibly different licensing issues at play here.

The Vevo app works fine on my Xoom..... till i go to play any video
If anyone else has Vevo working on their Xoom, Please let me know.
This may not help. But the VEVO app works on the XOOM. I watched some videos on it yesterday. Just remember to press HQ on each video or it looks like ****.

This is it. Google has some licensing agreements that prevent playback of videos on Mobile phones, but it's not bulletproof.
If you can't find it using the Youtube app, just go to youtube.com in the browser and you can view the video natively there.
With above.
Uploaders can specify wether they want to allow mobile devices to be able to search/view the video, at least with the Youtube app.

Soooper annoying. At least with VEVO app you can view music videos that were previously unavailable.
I recall with the EVO, the YouTube app blocked even more content.
VEVO will crash repeatedly. I had to use spare parts and turn off the Compatibility mode and now vevo works great.
As the title states, do we have a way to get hardware acceleration on adobe flash. I hate staring at terrible framerates on HD YouTube via their website and stuttering along on other video streaming sites. This is a dual core device, my phone shouldn't be outperforming it.
agreed, I thought 3.1 honeycomb was supposed to include support for hardware accelerated flash. Sadly any flash video 720p or higher runs real slow on 3.1. Including amazon video on demand and YouTube....

So 3.1 is not the holy grail of bug fixes everyone here is making it out to be... well who'd have thought?
Youtube works fine on my device. Tested with Dark Knight trailer on official youtube app.
Youtube performance
Works great on my a500 using honeycomb Youtube app - works just as well via stock browser on the web site.
What browser are you using to try to play video? Does HD video play in the native youtube app but not in your browser?
i think youtube app plays html5 ,not flash video
We are talking about flash 720p in browser not YouTube app....

So, I'm not the only stupid guy who's having that ridicolous streaming video quality!
I was asking in the primee rom thread but everybody had ignored me, same thing in the acertabletforum.com thread, and in the facebook page to support the unlocked bootloader (where I was teased as an idiot).
Youtube has some pixellated video, both in the dedicated app and in the website.
Same issue for all other kind of streamed video.
What we have to wait? Is that a Tegra2 issue? My Galaxy S and my Iphone 4 have not this ridicolous video quality...So, who's the guilty? -.-
Google promised hardware acceleration with the 3.1 update...but it seems something gone wrong.

Iphone doesn't support Flash so either you're talking about HTML5 or you've just figured it out how to watch flash movies on iGear.

Maybe you're forgotting this...I was talking about every kind of streamed video, not only a flashplayer based video.
And, you'll know for sure, some Cydia tweaks and Puffin browser, let see flash video in an iOS device.
i just figured out if you use a rom with an updated kernel to 2.6.36.4....the last 4 being the key flash hardware acceleration works great. At least on 720p.
Hi All,
Generally new phones come with a video from the manufacturer installed on it to showcase the display.
My Note 4 doesn't seem to have this though and neither does my wife's.
Does anyone else have the showcase video from Samsung on their note 4? What video is it?
Would someone be so kind as to upload it somewhere?
Thanks
D

Why would you need their video, get a 2k or 4k video from the net, download it and that's it.
Yeah I don't have any video too, but you can watch/ download a video from youtube, for example Marques Brownlee records at 4k, so you can download or watch the 2k (1440p) version of any video.

Here are the Samsung Demo vids found pre-installed on the display units in stores. Link
The ones found on Youtube are great but they're highly compressed. These ones will really show off that screen!
Enjoy!
