Hi!
Someone on the forum posted this link and it seems to be working... I haven't tried it yet, 'cose I'm having doubt with the release in general... LOOsing the root cappability...
http://uploaded.to/file/s6nsf2
If you don't mind having your phone unrooted, than by all means, do it... I hope you know how to flash your phone with the .EXE file (RUU). Otherwise let me know, or search the forum...
Hope this helps.

[Q] Does anyone know what this means?

And how to fix it!?
Basically for the last two days I have been trying to root my phone unsuccessfully. The problem is with the hboot driver and it not working. The first time i installed the driver it seemed to go fine, but after plugging my Wildfire into the usb I got a new hardware message and it was trying to find "ADB"..
Anyways unrevoked obviously did not find my phone so today I have uninstalled the driver and tried to update it again. At first it seemed to be going well, but then it asked for winusbcoinstaller.dll from disc.. I tried to link a picture but because of my low post count I cant.
Does anyone know what this means and how to fix it?
Many thanks in advance and sorry if its in the wrong section.

Yes, you are. The downgrade guide is valid only for the CN Froyo Release, which had a HBOOT version 0.83

Is 45.0.2310.en.GB worth it?

Hi
the last few days my Defy has been nagging me about updating to 45.0.2310.en.GB
is this the one that you cant root?
and is the update worth it?
Thanks
With that rom, there will be no way to root or to downgrade (or to downgrade to a rom that is rootable)

Hi,
It should ask you if you want to install it once it has downloaded. Just say no to that.
Simples.

No. It hasn't been released. However, the OTA has been pushed, and is available here for manual application if you are a stock, unrooted user, running the stock recovery.
If you're rooted, there are a few stock rooted versions of the 5.07 update in the Development forum.
Yep, they already have an Odex and DeOdexed version under Evo 4G development..
ahh ok but there is a zip file like RUU can use a SD Card? like PC36IMG to software my fone like a brandnew one?

Nope, this RUU never surfaced. You can still downgrade the misc partition to normalize the watermark, as detailed in my 2.18 HBOOT instructions.
You'll just have to HTCDev unlock again first.
I know this is a really old thread, but I'm having related problems. My usb port isn't working and I need the newest 5.07 update in a PC36IMG.zip form. Is there any way you can post one? It would be a great help.

i havent rebooted to linux yet to make a recovery so i can do it properly. but that should boot the stock kernel which ive modifed to inject su binary, youll then need to install supersu from the play store (before or after) booting the image is very important as flahsing it will render your device in operable, while just booting it is if it goes sideways then a reboot will clear it back out
thank you

New T-Mobile Update Root?

So I understand that there is a new update out and I'm wanting to upgrade to it. I'm currently rooted and have xposed installed. I was wondering if I will keep root and not have to wipe my device.
If I have to re-root it, could someone please show me the steps to take? I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

Yes, to upgrade to the newest firmware you will lose root and more then likely have to fully wipe your phone, just make sure you back everything up. The root method is the same as when you 1st rooted your phone, but I will leave you a link to the root thread. Always try to search for the answer's before asking question's. Hope this helps you out buddy Click here

Hey bud I hope I caught you before you took the update. I would read the stock rom thread for that update. Something about not updating the bootloader . I have not taken the update as of yet so I dont know about it but here is the thread for it. You might want to ask in there before updating.
