hi ,i have tab indian version, recently i root i tn deleted some apps, bt now i want to restore my tab to the original firmware...how can i do that??
i visit many forums abt flashing bt i dont understand what files to download...if i download the firmware file what are the other files like pdf or....file for n where can i download them??i download the P1000DDJJ5 firmware files...plz help me asap....
Hi what files you deleted? And you deleted them from homescreen or uninstalled in manage allocations...? Also there is a new update out for tab JK5...try installing Kies to a pc from Samsung site, connect your tab and check if it says firmware upgrade available or not...
You will need to uncheck USB debugging mode else Kies wont detect your tab...

With JPM, Kies wouldnt update to JP2.... So i took it to service center with JPM inside, asked them to flash JP2 and they did it....
Kies flashing failed
I was trying to upgrade using kies and the flashing stuck mid way and my phone wont boot now. I tried multiple times to flash using the firmware emergency recovery built in kies but it gets stuck at the same point always (39%).
Any one faced this problem? I am downloading odin files and will try. Let me know if I shouldnt try with odin and rather take the phone to the service center.
flashing with Idiot Kies is very problematic specially if you have win 7 on your pc....I just flashed with Odin...its the better way...
Thanks to all Friends who helped me

Cu (gotta explore froyo ;-)
hello gentlemen,
I was rooting my phone, but it seems it wasnt successful. the phone kept restarting and restarting all over again.
I had version 2.3.3 on it.
and because I am not techy enough, I thought to root it again...now the phone is not booting at all...
when I switch on the phone I get a picture of a mobile and a pc and an exclamation mark between them
I can go to the download / recovery mode...
any help on how to recover my phone...
phone is Samsung galaxy S GT i9000
First of all: your Galaxy is NOT dead.
Just flash a FW with bootloader, PIT-file and Re-Partition via Odin and it will boot again.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
My suggestion is to go to development and find the ezbase rom, it has excellent instructions with screen shots, and offers stock froyo or gingerbread with root and recovery pre installed

Guys, I had a similar problem with my I9000T ... I was opening a game and then from out of nowhere it freeze, and then reboot... he got a lot of time stuck on the boot screen... after some time he showed a message saying that my UID was with problems... I had the I9000T on official firmware 2.3.3 (updated via kies)
Seem to happens a lot with galaxy S models, and people allways tell to download a rom and flash it with ODIN...
The problem with is that odin didn't recognize my phone... Don't know why... I have an Windows 7 64bits , installed the samsung drivers properly, but, he never get to recognize the phone on download mode... Can someone help me, give me some clue, please, I really need your help.
Thanks a lot dudes...

You will need to Register to be Able to download the Firmwares.
Odin (The Tool you use to Flash) And the PIT Files are on there too.

Download GB 2.3.3 JPJV6 (Arabic firmware) from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102881
or here :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1011901
you don't have to register and the archives are not protected by stupid passwords.
Flash: without pit or re-partition.
To root: follow the method under 'How to root...' from the second link above.
Guys, My galaxy S is still dead, I've tryied toomany roms, nothing worked... What is odd for me is that I wipe my data, format my sdcard via recovery, but all my files are still on the sdcard, and if I delete it using the USB via PC, when I boot my phone it "recovers" all the data, back to SD... someone has some tip, info, help for me?
hi i opened this thread for explain how to backup your official firmware.
first downgrade your phone so that kies will detect an upgrade for you.
Now read on to see how to save the
firmware files during kies upgrade process.
On your pc, check the option
"Show hidden files"
Now connect your phone to pc via kies to begin the firmware upgrade.
Kies will begin to download the
firmware files...
The files will be saved in tmp files called "tmpA4CE.tmp" or other names
you can find it easily.
In Windows 7, this
tmp file is located at,
C:\Users\ * \AppData
\Local\Temp or type temp in run command.
(* is the pc user
session name, e.g. C:
\Users\chenna
\AppData\Local
\Temp)
When download iscomplete, kies
decompresses this tmp file into a zip folder and begins the firmware upgrading process.
The folder has same name as the tmp file but now with an extention of zipfolder.
When kies begins the upgrade process
starting from 1% until
it reaches 100%, quickly copy the "zipfolder" to your desktop.
You have about 2 to 3 minutes to do this.
Kies will delete the folder once upgrade is 100% (completed).
The "zipfolder" contains all the firmware files kies has used to upgrade
your phone.
Now you have a backup of official firmware from kies.
This is also useful in case kies fails to
complete the upgrade process.
Just use the saved files and manually flash your phone using odin or multiloader.
IF YOU LIKE THIS POST PLEASE PRESS THANKS
Could be usefull, but there are some threads out there that allready have stock firmwares listed.
this process is 100% safe and no confusion. finally you will not loose your warrenty.
WHere is downgrade file
can u plz post a link to the downgrade firmware file?

go to samfirmware.com forums there you can get firmwares. they did not add recent firmware(august-2011) so downlod april firmware.
and install with odin.
you can get odin and ops in cianogenmod thread.
and finally download your region firmware. follow letter codes to find your country. for example India-dd
I already tried to downgrade so kies would recognize my phone and provide an upgrade but this failed several times. So there is no guarantee that this will work.

this will work.
did you check on showhidden folders?
cleanup your temporary files before start upgrade firmware.
and some times file name is different.
so first cleanup your temp. than check show hidden files than start the process.
it should work
I meant with that that kies might tell you that there is no update available. I tried this out several times with different firmwares and different CSCs.

Doubt it. You could always save yourself grief & just download it from Samfirmware. They have all the newer firmwares up & available on Terra now.

Which Tab4 do you have? Tmobile? If so I have a zip file you can use to odin back to stock. I had the same thing happen to me when I tried to root. Once it gets to that point, kies doesn't seem to function. But odin still recognizes the device. I have an SM-T337T. Let me know.
Could you post the link of the rooting method site please?

Only think i've found for that firmware is a UK version. Not quite sure why there isn't a US version readily available. Anyhow, You can download it from here. The version from June might be able to be rooted using towelroot. But the May version definately can be rooted using that method. Here is the link Hope it helps.
