Touch HD Camera

I am a freasher here, I have flashed several times with WM6.5 roms to get my camera work, I have even tried various c.cabs without success.
I need desperate help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First off, welcome to XDA.
I've moved this thread to general discussion forum as its not related to rom development.
As for your issue. If you've followed this guide correctly to flash your roms, then it sounds like your camera issue is due to hardware and not software, therefore its not related to roms.
When did you camera fault first appear? Was it after flashing a rom?

If by 'not working' you mean that the zoom no longer functions then that is the same in most cooked ROM's now as they are using the camera software from elsewhere. If it totally doesn't work then as said, sounds like a hardware issue.

Hi Thnx, The Camera stopped working soon after I flashed the 6.1 rom to 6.5, since I have tried various roms and c.cabs.
I agree that it is most likely hardware issue, do u think I should try a 6.1 rom to see if it works again?

First question is what Touch HD do you have the T8282 or the T8285. Several people have had issues with their cameras here. I was able to send mine in under warranty to get it fixed, granted it took over a month to get it back but it was worth it to get my camera working again. I also tried several different roms and sometimes it would work a couple times then would disappear again. After a while changing the Roms didn't work, then I re-hardspl'ed the device and got the camera working again for a short time but that didn't even last. Eventually I sent it back to HTC and they repaired it for me. Good Luck.

Thanks for all comments, I am not going to send it back for repairs as I cannot live without it now, thinking of the HD2 on the 11th NOV maybe, but keep the suggestions coming.

Hello, I've been following this thread since I'm expiriencing the same problem. The camera on my 8282 it is simply not responding. It worked without any problems for almost a year. The only time I have flashed my phone was 3 months ago with the official ROM update realeased by HTC and nothing more. There is no way to send the phone to HTC since there is no official service representative in my country. I would like to know if there is something else that I can do to get the camera working again. Thank you in advance for the help.

i am since 1 week a proud owner of fhis device. And please understand, i choose this device after allot of research en review analyses. I love it,the way it looks, feels etc. However after 1 week of testing and intensive using i came across many small issues that do create some irritation and i wanted to know what to do to fix them. That is if there are fixes available besides resetting the phone everytime they occur.
My first problem is the lock screen. If my phone is locked for a while and i want to unlock it, there is somtimes a good chance that my phone gets stuck and all i can do is resetting it
by removing the battery. My second issue is, that somtimes my opera browser stops rotating to landscape mode. Fixing this requires a phone reboot. My final issue which is the biggest, when i use the youtube app allot. After a while of using the volume control bugs out. Wheb you change volumes during the video, the phone freezes a tiny bit and then a windows error message appears.
What i would like to know if i can fix these problems somehow or if anyone else has simillar experiece as me.
Finally, i would like to know if it is possible to play youtube movies on the standard webbrowser, opera. i got skyfire installed, but it seems very slow and buggy.

Sorry to hear you are having problems. I didn't have any of these problems initially so I can't help you there. It would help however to know what your ROM is, and if you ever updated your ROM.
The ROM my HD2 came with was messy and there were a lot of bugs. I installed Miri's 6.5.x rom and i have no problems whatsoever.
If you haven't done a ROM update before, don't worry it is not that hard, just write here and Id be glad to help.

Follow the link in my signature for Flashing LEO Roms for noobs. Install HardSPL and then pick a rom from many available and flash it via activesync (usb). I would recommend Duttys WWE Rom in in sig to start withbut there are plenty of others that are worthy of flashing.
Flashing a custom rom will fix your freezing issues, fix your opera roatation problem and most include a youtube app to play yourtube videos directly rather than having to go through opera.
If you need anymore help then just shout as theres always people willing to lend there ear and share their knowledge.

Android Turning itself off?

Hi Guys,
Since putting Andriod on my mini, it seems when im using it... it works happily, but as soon as lock it. 5minutes later, it will reboot itself. And it will continue to do this every 5mins or so, unless I use it.
Any ideas whats happening? Also great work in getting Android on the Mini.

Ah, okay, you also want to have wifi. Unfortunately the wifi fix does not work yet in Schlunds image. I think the a few people are working on this, as the problem is also mentioned in the developers forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=983735. Until the problem is solved you have to stick to Android 2.1 from Cotulla.

Welcome!
Android is possible on HTC Hd mini, but a lot of things do not work yet. Installation hints and download mirrors are given in thsi thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=952996
Please consider that it's still work in progress! Do not annoy the developers with questions about things which do not work. They are aware of this. However you can play around with android. Enjoy it!

Here's another experience with HD mini android - with lock into black: I have quite the same issue with 2.2 Froyo (and possibly happened with 2.1 also). I start android, boots it within 1-2 minutes from Kingston 4 GB, no big problems, using it for 1-2 hours, playing, etc. But when I lock it and leave it ... things turns nasty sometimes. I can not wake it up again using the Pwr button as it's meant to be, the device does not respond anymore. I have to take out the battery to restart it again.
That's it. I hope these reported cases are helping the developers.

Audio Bug -During calls with latest lock screen update

I guess many of us have been stuck up with issues where during calls people are not able to hear voice from either side in last couple of days.
Reading playstore reviews of "HTC lock screen" it looks like its HTC who goofed up, lot of people have reported this regression issue.
BTW uninstalling this update did not even solve the issue.

i called HTC after reading this and they told me that there was no reports of this. I suggested checking out the reviews on the play store. No resolution offered though

My wife has exactly the same problem with her HTC One !
Any workaround someone ??
I asked her to uninstall the HTC lockscreen update but she says it did not help.
Will we have to re-install ROM ?
Hope HTC will correct this really ugly bug.

Well when I posted it , it looked to me a lockscreen bug(may be its not , i am really not sure).. Some people on play store also said that its a problem with HTC service pack (check out its reviews)
Annoyed and reading more figured out that lot of people said that freezing google play services helped them.

Update to the latest Google play services with this version, released yesterday https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.gms. Or download apk from here http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google.../google-play-services-6-5-99-1642632-038-apk/ Problem is solved for me. Also clear cache and data for Google Play Services and Google Play Services Framework.

Every time I get this issue,I used to put the phone on Airplane mode and restart it once or twice
Problem got solved for me

The audio bug from installing an update is new to me but I've uninstalled all new updates weather service pack clock etc due to weather not updating and battery drain issues. As far as audio bug where no one can hear you properly this has been a known issue from the phone being launched and relates to noise cancelling microphone on back of phone. My phone is like this all the time but will try anything to get it working again instead of covering mic on back.

The issue is not just on HTC. It is affecting people with Xiaomi and Nexus phones, at least.

For everybody who is experiencing no audio/voice during calls HTC is sending OTA's. I'm not experiencing any problem because I've already updated to 6.09.401.11. And the fix was included in it. <br />

Your lucky I've got this update and its still broke tested the microphones and there working. Having been looking around it seems to be affecting m8 and m8 mini 2 as well. I think this problem has something to do with Qualcomm as its there tech that's used for noise cancellation or whatever it is that's not working properly anyway won't be getting another HTC until this has been fixed I think a known problem that was addressed on m7 then continued on too two other handsets just isn't on.

The 6.09.401.11 update must fix this issue. If your phone is stock/non rooted, update your phone, if problem still occurs go into bootloader, select recovery, wait until a red warning sign or triangle appears on the screen (takes a while) then press volume up and the power button. That will take you to the recovery menu. There select wipe cache partition. That might fix your problem.

Yes I am fully stock but this problem has been there since i have had the phone and this is the third handset it has done this on so wiping cache isn't going to do it even though I have done this already I am just unlucky. However there should be more information on this from HTC but there isn't and there isn't any real fix which is annoying will just have to wait until my next phone so I can be heard properly

This is my last option to solve my problem.
I bought a Cogito Classic 2 months ago. First time I got to connect it to my Meizu mx4. Once connected app said to update the watch software. I did it and since then I have not been able to connect it again...
After 2 months talking with Cogito FAQ and testing some app versions they told me they give up this problem....

Solution to Cogito Update
Hi ! I hope you still have the watch !
If it asks you to update better have an old phone running Android 4.4 or an iphone laying around.
Only using an old phone will do the update (that takes 15 minutes in total) after that it works like a charm !
