I don't know if this has happened to anyone, as I haven't seen the problem I have anywhere else, but something strange started happening from yesterday(using Energy 2 ROM btw):
When I run Haret, That's it! It gets stuck when it attempts to load the kernel. I've messed around with the startup.txt and used a new data.img, with no results. And, everyone else in the threads of the ROMs I was trying said they worked perfectly... A little help would be appriciated!
yeah, I've been having the same problem too! Im also using the energy 2 rom and I've been trying different android builds. The only build that I've had work half way decent was the desire rom but once I power off the phone and try to get back into the desire rom it just gets stuck at the boot up screen. Im new at the whole flashing roms and modifying files thing so any advice at all would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Hey guys. i have probably what everyone will call a stupid question, but ive looked everywhere and still have not gotten a solid answer.
Basically, the first ROM i loaded was a version of CELL Series that had a costum slate grey boot screen. i liked it, but im addicted to ROM flashing and started putting other ROMs on. bad thing, is that no matter what rom i flash, the CELL series screen is the first thing i see when turning on my phone. ive run task 29 and loaded Energy GTX at the moment, but that same boot image comes up and i have no clue how to change it....
is there something im doing wrong that can be fixed?

When you flash a new rom did you do a hard reset after that?
if so, idk BUT create your own boot screen.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=684301
Not all roms include custom boot screens ...
I know the Energy does not , at least not the "first" boot screen ...

Here's a ready made 1st boot screen you can flash via microSD for exactly this situation, made via pakistaniprince's post above. I've also included the stock pink tmobile screen if you want to go back. If you do make your own, please post in that thread so we can have a ready made collection. Just put the leoimg.nbh from the zip into your FAT32 microSD and go into bootloader, it's that simple. takes less than 30 seconds.

meme moi jai le meme problm
my android build wont go past the htc screen i have re formatted the sd card would i have to flash another win mo rom
i hate when people act like they dont want to help lol
It's not that noone wants to help. We see this question posted at least a dozen times a day and it's just obvious you've not searched. The first boot of Android (any build) takes a long time, up to half an hour depending on various things. Leave it, if it doesn't work after that long, then post back.
i left it go for 3 hours lol...i even went back to stock and went thru the whole flash process
Ok then write down your entire process to get an android build to the point where it's just sitting there on the HTC screen.
ok i flashed the hspl then radio then winmo rom (energy) then i downloaded the biffmod rom extracted the rom placed it all in the android folder went to the file explorer clrcad then haret and it jus sits there... it was working 1 rom ago and that malfunctioned so much i had 2 leave it and now no android build works
I am having the same problem, I have let the device cook for over an hour and drain the hell out of my battery and still no go? It all started with SkinnyEVO v1.7, and yes, I did try changing the kernel to no avail, then the other day I was going to give the Bluetopia build a whirl, same result. I have no problems booting SkinnyEVO v1.5 or Sense rEVOlution v2.3. These two work amazingly well on my device.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why certain builds have this problem and other builds do not? I am suspecting it is a kernel issue but I may be wrong in my suspicions. Please enlighten me if so.
Thanks ..... HTR
yea im tryna figure out myself
I had the same problem when I got my HD2...formatted sdcard with HD2. After this I got no more problems.
hi there, my hd2 has spl 3.03, radio 2.15 and ROM 3.14. from doing a bit of research on the forums I've found that i can run Android roms without needing to flash. however after trying a few different roms they all seem to freeze on the white htc screen even after leaving them go boot for around 30 mins. can anybody please help me with this issue?
appreciate any help given.
Bump.
Does anybody please have any ideas? I bought the HD2 because I thought I could run android on it...
I've tried multiple ROM and android build combinations and the only one I can get to boot up is from the minimum "energy" package. I've formatted the SD card in each case, and still no luck. I;m new at this whole process so I'm sure I'm screwing something up
Hello!! Me too, i have the same problems : Artemis v44, Rom 3.14, radio 2.15.50.14. and i have 8gb sd card. I tryed different android rom, but it's the same problems.
I continue to try....
Sorry for my bad english.
read the other threads with the same topic on the 1st couple pages...
basicly the proven way to fix it is to format the sdcard to get rid of ghosts that are left over from old data.
Does that mean a full format or Quick format? Ive try quick multiple times. And what first couple of pages are you refering/ Thanks for the response!
full format actualy wipes it, all quick does is removes file names.
you da man! Im doing a 16g......its taking a long time.....is that normal?
Well.....that didnt work. Full format on a 16g SD. Still locks up on HTC screen. Any ideas. Gonna try new SD card tomorrow.
I have the same result, use a new 8g card, android build MCCM_SE_V3.3_FroyoStone_Sense. On my first boot OK. I need to change battery and sim often. switch off and next boot stay on HTC screen forever... Found some solution saying that you must run the two "exe" within 15 sec. after boot into WM, but still doesn't work... help help
Same problem here.
Tried all the steps.
Installed HSPL2
Upgraded radio to: 2.12.50.02
Fully formatted my sd card
Tried several builds (FRG83.MCCM_IR_1.7 & desire hd2)
But it keeps on freezin at the HTC screen when booting.
Any help would be very much appreciated since I'm very much out of guesses.
have you tried deleting cmd line?
Same Problem...
Rom 3.14.407.2
SPL 3.03
Radio: 2.15.50.14
pls help

I can give you a copy of my modded system.ext2 based on mdj 1.7, maybe it will work for you. Maybe we can do it through IM. Just PM me.
By the way, what is your location and carrier? I cant see info, am using phone.
Sent from my HD2 using XDA App
Ive formatted multiple times and have ran different Android ROMs. NOTHING. Only thing that works is the basic one provided by ENERGY. (Thanks by the way). Not that this is a bad ROM, Im just trying to learn about this stuff and its frustrating. I'm sure there is more guidance within the threads, but thats like pretty difficult if you dont know where to look
adb logcat
post it, then we can troubleshoot.
dont know how to do that? search. theres atleast 10 stickies in the forums on adb for dummies.
also, i get kinda tired of folks begging for help that cant even do simple stuff like fill out location, sig line etc... come on throw us a bone.
Hey guys for the last couple months ive been using android 2.3 gingerbread on my tmobile Hd2 with no issue. Except one day, yeasterday it ran out of battery or something, and now for some reason the phone boots, goes past the first couple of screens until it goes to the red, green, yellow, blue lines that intersect and make an X. It just stays there and doesnt finish booting into the OS. I dont know if there any way to fix this, a problem with power, or that i have to install the stock windows 6.5 rom again. Either way, any help or linked tutorials would be greatly appreciated.
Oh and the kind of rom i used is NAND, its installed into the phone and not the sd card.

If you leave the phone on the charger, does it enter a bootloop or does it boot up to a certain point then freeze? If it's the latter I'm not really sure as to what I can do to help (there are solutions, I just don't really know any of them) but if it's the first then your battery is probably out of charge to the point where it can't boot far enough into the OS to be able to start charging. You'll have to cut open a USB cable and charge it manually, unfortunately.
