Hey everyone, I was thinking, is there a IRC channel for the Sprint Hero? I know about android-root on freenode, I mean HERO specific. If there's not, maybe I'll make one. (IRC is a text chat, meaning you get live help, not post and check back in a hour).

Well--- I gotta say something:
I hate freenode. Example: You're in violation of the 'channel naming policy' as it's not 'GROUP REGISTERED', you need to have it double hash.
Get what I mean now? Also, their staff can be, sometimes hostile. Not saying names, they know who they are, so I guess I'll make it on my net.
My net is very close to freenode imho. Services and stuff just like them.

Got a lot of people too on my net. If you noticed, I always put in a irc channel for my rom's and stuff, I just think it's faster. . But I always want to use my servers, as I can make sure that it works, rather than rely on others to keep it up.

download xchat, should find a good beginners tutorial via google on how to connect. irc is simple.

yes, I went there.
I run my own irc network, coffeenet, with some friends. we used to be a part of quakenet and have a varied userbase. lots of old school doom players hang out here among other techies.
Anyway, it's not run by assholes, so that's a good start.
If anyone decides this is a good option then join in --

i'll be idling in there today while i'm out, but feel free to join in. if someone decides that another network/channel is a better choice that's fine. if mine picks up, then ok that's fine too.

Hi all, as freenode's getting rather... netsplitty (for IRC noobs: the servers die. Very frustrating.) pretty much every other night, I (well, riot did it) thought that I'd create a secondary IRC channel, so we have a backup when freenode's misbehaving. It's at irc.fossnet.info #evo.
Webchat: if you don't have a IRC client, or you're too lazy to get one P), use the webchat client at http://webirc.fossnet.info:9090/?channels=evo&uio=d4
Oh, by the way, hopefully getting the evo in November!
Or how about not? Try connecting to a different server if yours keeps disconnecting. I have not seen a netsplit as of late, and I'm in #Android, #CyanogenMod, #HTC-EVO, and #CM6-Snap 24/7.

They've had issues late at night with routing. I'm friends with some of freenode's operators, it's some routing stuff. Either way, it's always nice to have a few rooms.

if you cant get into the channel its most likely because you have not registered your nickname with NickServ.
Every device I dev on but this device has an IRC channel to help devs and users alike with anything related to their devices. Because of this I decided to make #htc-ace on freenode for general discussion, dev help, really ANYTHING related to these devices .

Is is ok to talk about my channel here coz i made a channel whre i put videos about different roms in 3 and 3t... so that people can have a look before they flash.

After a quick look through the rules, no it is not against any of them to post your link to a youtube channel. If what you say is true about your channel then that would be incredibly useful to many members on this site. I would even take a peek at your channel if you manage to cover lots of different roms.
