Just heads up in case you want it free. Its the amazon free app of the day. Save the 5 dollars dont ya know.
Sent from my HTC Incredible using XDA app.
Every time I go to download one of the free apps of the day it wants me to enter my credit card information and then cancels the download, even tho it is saved on my amazon account already. When my sister downloads any apps using the amazon app store she does not get this pop up and is allowed to download the apps even tho she has no credit card associated with her account. I don't get it.
That sucks a$$. You could try removing the CC and add it back to see if it works... ORRR, go buy you one of those Gift (burn) CC's with a small amount on it just to get all the free apps from Amazon.
I've been waiting/hoping the Business Calendar would hit the Amazon Market so I could have a calendar widget again... Ya know... ADW Launcher not compat with the OG calendar widget and all.
20 free apps/games and counting... waiting for midnight to see what gift is coming next.
I got that one... but I still like Jorte a little better. I like that Jorte syncs with google Tasks and it has GREAT widgets.
SoBBie
I got the beta invite a few days ago, and its totally replaced iTunes for me. Fast, clean interface that lets me edit id3 tags and has a bunch of other useful features. Couldn't get any better, and I would hate to lose it.

No they have stated eventually they will charge...but who knows how long that will be
My guess is that they will probably have a free version for a limited amount of songs like 5-10K, then charge for anything above that.
that would be nice to give a limited free version. I'm in the UK so can't get at the Beta
I would hope that they just include it in the Google cloud storage pricing, i wouldn't mind a bit to pay for 200 gigs. I already pay for 100 every year for photo storage in picasa, and that same 100 applies to docs, picasa, and email.
But, if they want to charge above that for it, I will probably just be more selective about what I upload. I think I have a few duplicates up there anyways....

I don't know but if/ when they do idk...What I mean is idk if it will be 100% safe to upload my downloaded songs. I mean will google delete music downloaded for free?
how could they tell? downloaded music shows up the same as music you rip from a cd.
Google recently commented that 48 hours worth of video is uploaded to YouTube every minute.
I'm supposing that 20k songs will stay free on Google Music beta with songs in excess of that counting against your paid for shared cloud storage (picasa, etc.)
At least, that's what I'm hoping.
I am an existing Amazon Prime member and I purchased a Kindle Fire which comes with one free month of Amazon Prime and 5GB cloud storage
I did a chat support to ask if there was a way to combine my accounts and get 10GB of storage, the answer was NO
I asked if there was away to run two accounts on one device, the answer was NO
So if anyone has been wondering, the answer is NO!
Now if only someone could come up with an app that could either combine accounts or easily switch between them... or does one exist?
Why?
Sorry, but why would you need to manage two accounts from one device? There may be a good reason, I just can't think of one.

Simply for the extra Cloud Storage. 6GB doesn't seem to be enough for people. PUT IT ON A CLOUD!
Ok- so no to two accounts for reason of combining cloud storage etc- but what about this scenario.. I just ordered one for the wife- who has her own amazon acct.. I have an amazon acct also and on my Droid Incredible I've been d/l'ing the amazon free app of the day pretty much everyday. Will I be able to use my acct to install those apps on here kindle, then log her back into her acct?

No!

and you wont be able to side load them as the amazon apps from thier store, including the free apps, check amazons servers to see if you purchased them. If they are not on your account, you wont be able to use them. You can install them, but they wont work
with that logic, i'll just open up 10 accounts and get 50GB for freeeeeeeeee!
or you could pay a measly $20 for a years worth of 20gb? It's not horrible and we all knew going into it cloud was part of the plan.
Not to beat a dead horse, but this is how the Kindle's have worked since the eReader. That is why the wife and I buy all of our stuff on one shared account and email. That way we can share the apps.
Here is a tip (at least it worked last I checked):
- Go to AmazonMP3.com and buy any 99cent album and BAM, free upgrade to 20GB for a year.

I use AppSaver application on my Nexus S to save downloaded apps from Android Market and transfer to my Kindle Fire. There are some cool games and such that don't show up on the Amazon or Android markets, but do show up for my phone and work perfectly well with the Fire.
Ladies and Gentlemen, thanks in most to you and the XDA Community ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28984095#post28984095 ) I PRESENT TO YOU...
THE WORST APPLICATION AWARD WINNER IS......
THE FACEBOOK APP!
Why you may ask when compared to some other poor apps? Well here is my reasoning and I would love the hear yours
The Facebook Application for Android has been around for a very very long time now, since at LEAST Android 2.0 and through all this time Facebook and Android have been advancing with more functions and features at a faster rate then we can keep up to. Facebook claims to have some of thee best programmers and coders to offer, yet they problem is instead of fixing the issues on their applications and website they look over these and add new features, and break or "rethink" old ones. There once was a time when Facebook chat was reliable, and when people could easily understand how things worked yet now? Facebook is slowly becoming a mess.
I don't mean to say I hate Facebook, because though it isn't the best (or better then Google+) it is still decent and mostly enjoyable on a computer. The phone app however? It has seriously pained me to use. Back when I didn't know about alternate apps for Facebook, I would often AVOID checking and updating my Facebook thinking "OH I SHOULD SHARE THAT PICTURE.... But wait that'll take forever.... nevermind".
Facebook should think more about this issue... and they should take all their employees and tell them "Work on the website ALONE" then Facebook should come over to XDA Developers, and hire some very talented, and smart app developers, who are UP TO DATE on Androids features, and make a application that you should expect from a multi-billion dollar company.
What do you guys think? Any bad stories from the app? Do you think it will ever get better??
(PS: I know worse apps exist in the market and online, but this is partly a joke, but most importantly is that Facebook is a massive social network that should have MUCH better an app)
The app sucks I agree

Used to go on Facebook a lot on iOS. But then when I moved to android and saw that Facebook was a joke I pretty much stopped checking it.

I use friend stream from sense... The Facebook app use 35mb of ram when used...
I use Flipboard instead.
(I seldom post on Facebook)
FACEBOOK SUCKS!!! It is one of the worst apps ever! with so much cash, fb is really lazy at coding apps, check out Google+, much better experience.
Yep! Facebook app totally sucks. I used friendcaster a lot, its good n very fast but now I left facebook permanently bcoz of awesome google+ app
The Google+ app just blows the Facebook one out of the water, shame people haven't learnt how good of a social network Google+ is. Facebook would end up like Myspace and Bebo if people weren't so scared of change.
I agree
They should just buy out Friendcaster and make it their offical app...
The only problem with 3rd party apps is you don't have access to friend's posts who have their privacy settings set up differently. They won't show up in your news feed. The mobile site OK, but still kinda sucks in terms of use. The reply box has become extremely buggy, never autocompletes words, capitalizes Is or makes contractions properly. It's a friggin joke, and I can only imagine how awful the app is by the responses given in this thread. I've heard the iOS one isn't too great, either. I think part of the problem is they are too focused on the desktop experience due to ads and a bunch of other stuff(half the time it doesn't load my feed properly on Chrome). I've started browsing G+ which seems to have improved greatly since I got the original invite. Sucks more of my friends aren't on it. Now I just use FB to coordinate events with people. haha.

They changed and many migrated to FB. It just seems whatever is trendy at the time is what people go for. A lot of people don't even know what G+ is, sadly. They're pushing a few commercials here and there and I know a TON of people have GMail accounts, but barely know how to navigate through the menus to find it, even though it's right there in the corner. Only time will tell, I suppose.

Hi there, I have attached or will link to a photo of my app list, now is it me or should I not have a different calendary icon, chrome, and more googley stuff?
Just wondering as i have flashed gapps 20121212, which i thought was latest but it doesnt look like it is?
Thanks
Did you think about checking the Play Store for updates to your apps? holy smokes.
Just because CM lists their gapps package as 121212 doesn't mean the apps are fully updated in it.

God your right! I completely forgot to check for updates! Here i was looking for a reason why my apps arent updating, and all along I forgot to check for updates!
Lol. Joking aside, I have no updates. Do you think that stock comes with G+, magazines, etc because thats stock? And Gapps just doesnt contain the less essential ones?
Just because there is a CM "gapps" package doesn't mean it'll include everything that stock does. Custom ROM makers create their own gapps with whatever apps they want. You can download most of them via the play store anyway so you don't really need a gapps package to include G+, magazines, etc.
You'd be surprised at how stupid people can be on this site when it comes to obvious things like checking for app updates.

i think they consider those bloatware. and dont include them. calendar and chrome should have been in there though. if i could remember i would tell ya, but each time i try a new rom i end up hating it and go straight back to my back up image of aokp. so i dont remember what apps i had to get from the play store to complete my google lineup.

No. The reasoning behind not including it is because you can get it from the play store and those apps updates frequently so there isn't any point in including them because it makes the gapps size bigger as well as causing them to update the gapps more frequently
Gmail, maps etc are not bloat ware man.....

Those tend not to be included. G+ has been updated twice in the last week or so, for example. But they're obviously all available in the Play Store.

Depends on what kind of person you are but yeah they are bloatware. I don't use any of those apps. At least they're minimal bloatware and can be removed and aren't silly promotional apps where they're game trials that can't be removed.
I'm guessing Googles justification for including them with the phone is because when you bought your Nexus 4 it included free magazines, books, and a free movie of transformers the dark moon. So if you didn't know that, check it out
