Does anyone have ultimate solution for "upload to" feature (from "albums".. and others..)...
I guess that i need something to do with settings @ gmail and youtube accounts, whatever...
first things first: I can't login to youtube from my HD2 (settings/data services) if i linked my gmail account with youtube account... always got greyed youtube (always off). I CAN LOGIN TO YOUTUBE ONLY IF **UNLINK** GMAIL AND YOUTUBE account... in this case i can login through hd2 interface and upload videos to youtube
link/unlink account is possible only through account settings at youtube site (using my desktop computer)
BUT WHAT if i WANT TO LINK my gmail & youtube accounts and use "upload to" youtube feature of my hd2? i can't find working solution...
unlinked accounts is a bit "rusty" in these days...

Hi folks,
I've entered my account details in the Hero's YouTube app, but now I want to switch to another account instead. How is that done? When I tap the "My account" button that allowed me to enter my login details, it just brings me to my playlists, favorites et cetera. Any ideas?
Thanks
Dont think you can do that. it automatically picks up the one linked with your google account. I created a new youtube account, unlinked my old one with my google account and linked it to the new youtube account. Now it shows my new youtube account.
i think i had done this in the youtube app, dunno why this does not work for you
Hi all
Sorry if this is not an appropriate place to ask, but please let me know of somewhere more suitable if not.
I've got two google accounts bound to my N1. One is a google apps premier account (which I use for email sync) and a normal googlemail account (which I use for calendar and contacts sync).
I use Gtalk on my desktop PC's for the first account (premier apps) and not on the second one, however when I fire up Gtalk on my N1 it is using the second account and not the one I want! I have not found an option to change this behaviour.
Does anyone know how to change which account Gtalk uses on the N1?
Thanks
Android will use the account you entered first. I entered my google apps account first then the gmail account and if I now try to remove the gmail account it says I can't. This is because android has bound the gmail account to the services not supported on google apps accounts.

Hm. I added my gmail account first and then the gapps one. I too found that if I try and remove an account it wants me to factory reset my phone and lose all data/config! This is pretty crappy.
I'm hoping someone can come up with a hack or something to change this behaviour regarding gtalk as I certainly don't want to reset my phone simply to get gtalk working.
I think a reset is the only way for now :-/
This is really poor. Google have slipped up somewhat with annoyances like this
hmm... i've the same problem .. then all we can do is wait
My current workaround is to use the eBuddy application, which is working just fine.
Probably off topic, but has anyone had complaints from their regular buddies about the phone causing frequent disconnects/reconnects to their chat client? One of mine got so annoyed by the alerts that he has cut me off... (using pidgin with my primary gmail account)
(I'm guessing that it happens when I'm connected via wi-fi and voice calls come in... ? ) Does anyone have any settings suggestions for either 1) staying connected or 2) having it just wake up when needed?
I think you can go into Manage Applications in Settings, hit menu and then filter, then select All. Clear the data for Gapps and Gmail, and then reboot. If you do it right, it should ask you to login again like it did when you first turned your phone on. Login with whichever account you want to use Gtalk with.
When I try to upload/share from Gallery to Picasa, it's forcing me to sign into a different account than my default google account. It stops at the Picasa screen for a split second then asks me to register for a new account or login into an existing account (which I already am obviously). When I sign onto my account, it says it already exists on the phone. (no kidding).
I tried adding a new account and then picasa worked, but I don't want a separete account only to be able to upload to picasa from the phone.
Any know what gives with the default account not being able to log into picasa on the phone?
ok, problem has been solved.
I have updated my nexus s to 4.03 (on two nexus s) but on one phone my facebook contact want to be linked
When I press "ADD ACCOUNT" can't add any facebook account to link with my contacts on other phone everything is fine.
Everything else is fine.
Google and facebook have some issues with the contact linking process. It can be hacked in but its not in there by default.
could you provide more informations about this hack please ?
it's not that there are 'issues'. google removed fb sync because fb refuses to let you save your fb contacts, so it provides a false sense of security, in the sense that the contacts always sync, but can NEVER be backed up.
if you want to sync fb, use friend caster. There's an app that will also sync profile pics, as well, but I can't remember the name right now.
Hi!
I have a normal (non-google) Email IMAP account and use the google account only for the market.
Is there anyway to only use the google account with the market and no other google service. I just don't want google to automatic sync my contacts, my photos, my browser. Under systemsettings, I have disabled Gmail Syncing in the settings, but everytime I open the browser, Google signs in automatically in my google account - another strange thing, this morning, my photos were synced - evn syncing is disabled.
Isn't there just a script which can disables these "phone home" options completely?
Thank you!

Hmm its been awhile since ive ran ICS .. but the apps are located in /system/app you will need to use a root explorer or ADB to remove them .
The app names that i got rid of are ...
GoogleBackupTransport.apk
GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk
GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk
and nothing syncs .
Ok - thanks! just killed the apps - now it should be ok!

Setting >> Accounts and Syncs >> **Select the account..like [email protected]**
Clicking on this will open up the options on what all do you want to sync with these google account. Uncheck those you don't want.
Personally i use Google Photos and Contacts.
