Bluetooth Remote control for a pda ??

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Its not to use a PDA as a remotecontrol, but looking for a small BT remote control for a PDA.
On some boards other people looking for same, but nobody knows.
A small device like a remote contol for car alarm.
I tried a BT headset , but found no way to get the button status
programaticaly .
Anyone has an idea ??
Could you please explain what you want to do?
I did not quite understand you.
Do you want to remote controle your PPC via Bluetooth and Desktop PC or are you looking for a remote controle to do something with your PPC while you are a few meters away.
I never heard of such a thing though...

i look for 2nd.
I can do this with my mobile phone, sent keystrokes via BT to PPC and use this programmatically.
But look for smaller device . like a headset, cause I cant put my mob phone on a keyring ;-)
But cant find such a small BT device ( like remotecontrol for car alarm)
also cant figure out how to get the signals when a button ön a headset is pressed.
Could you please give us some examples of successful usage of mobile phone for remote control? It can be interesting and funny.
There is software to use a fone as BT remote control for a PC or a Mac.
Name is Bemused ( dunno if i spell it right ).
You can use this to control MediaPlayer etc. on ur PC.
But I am looking for a small solution for a PDA, to start an app on a PDA when I am a few meters away.
okay, imagine this.
i'm walking in the school campus and someone (hopefully a pretty girl) comes up to me and wants to talk to me while i'm listening to mp3 on my pocket-pc and i have the small bluetooth remote control clipped to my shirt. i can simply click the button that i assigned to 'pause' to stop the music. then talk to that person and then press the 'resume' button when i'm done to resume the music.
all without having to pull the device out of my pocket and turn it on and all that stuff...
what do you think?
Hi msafi!
I think this is what you are looking for:

If you're going bluetooth, you might as well use a full keyboard credit card sized.
Please send me one if you have one spare!

Using your PPC as a wireless headset for PC possible??

I've been scouring google trying to look for something that works like this:
1) ALL audio from your computer is streamed to your PPC.
AND
2) You can use your PPC as a wireless mic for your computer.
In essence it'll work as a wireless voice communicator with your laptop. Is there anyway to do this? I've tried using bluetooth, but the computer software I have wouldn't allow me to use my phone as a 'headset' only to transfer files and create a DUN. So if anyone know of any computer software or PPC software that would help me achieve this, it would be greatly appreciated. It could be through BT, WiFi or Data. I just need something that works.
My purpose for this is that I like to play games, listen to music, and even voice chat (ventrilo) and I would like to be able to still hear what's going on on my computer while I'm grabbing a glass of water or taking a bio-break.

Found a method that works, but it in very poor quality. First thing is to install Skype .18 beta onto your phone (only version that works on the Titan) and to install Skype on your computer also. You will need to create 2 accounts for both the phone Skype & PC Skype. Now configure your computer Skype to reroute all audio to go through the microphone input. Call either devices from the other device and initiate voice chat. You should be able to hear your computer from your phone, but in very low/poor quality. When you speak into the phone you can hear yourself on your computer. A headset is suggested.
This is what I found to work so far, still trying to search for a better way of doing this. I've been able to stream quality music from the computer and voice to the computer, but never both at the same time yet.
Here's link to Skype .18 beta:

I'd like to know if it's possible as well...for some reason my speakers arent being recognized by windows (i freaking hate MS!!) so it'd be nice to use BT to use my phone as speakers (that and so i could wander around the house)
if it support audio gateway it could work of cause
to enable it one would have to quit the game
and change pref'd device in audio settings in pc
control panel and restart the game
audio gateway would mean to go through BT. I'm sure the titan is able but its the bt software on the computer end that's crappy (got my bt adapter for $4). I'm looking for alternatives if possible.
i paid a few pretty pennies for my BT device (it wasn't overly expensive, it was a good deal at the time), and it came with a disc that had blue soleil on it. Well, it kept telling me i needed to register or somthing, but wouldnt let me. So i got rid of it. I bet B.Soleil would work though, maybe i'll dig it back up.
found all of my original documentation and disks with B.S. on it. They gave me a trial version. I paid for a usb dongle with blue tooth and B.S. gave me an eval copy. Okay, no wonder people hack/crack stuff. Idiots like that. I hope they die in a fire.
lol yea i think mine is blue soleil too, not sure if its a full copy or eval copy. all i know is its crap and won't let me do what i want.
yeah, i smashed my blue soliel disk out of anger. i tried it first, and it wouldnt let me stream music to my headset or my phone, so whatever. I dont even need that program to transfer files, i have BT drivers on my computer already.
well if you do manage to find a working BT software be sure to share ;D
Really?...

he's LOOKING for an app that does it.
I'm trying to look into a A2DP server solution, though I doubt it's possible for the PPC to 'serve' audio to the computer.

Justop K9B stick MK809 ii

Hi, my first post so be gentle!
Does anyone have one of these, it is the Bluetooth version of the MK809 ii and although I'm generally happy with it, it does have a few shortfalls. I am using it with a lan adaptor which works well.
I have a webcam that sort of works with Skype, but the large (Skype caller) and small (local webcam) images are the wrong way round, so if anyone calls I have to squint at the tiny picture! I tried the version off xda but it's the same. Any help there would be appreciated.
I've never dabbled with flashing anything android but should I be looking at doing this perhaps, and if so I have not seen any mention of the Bluetooth version of the MK809ii. I'll probably turn it into a vegetable anyway!
I welcome any thoughts/experience with this gadget.
Cheers
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
which lan adapter are you using and how much.
I am looking to buy the mk809ii, and was wondering what are some CONs and disadvantage you are seeing now? I heard it is much better than the mk808 as it has less glitches?

I'm using the BOBJGEAR usb to Lan android adapter, works fine out of the box on my tv stick.
Aside from the Skype problem above (REALLY annoying!), not too many cons to be honest, just minor niggles mainly with some apps not being suited to it.
-Youtube seems to have lost its ability to go full screen for some reason, works fine on my Nexus 7 and is the same version.
-I have tried a few DLNA media apps to try and view pictures, videos etc from my NAS and they appear to be occasionally laggy across my network, the media app that came with the stick seems to work the best but looks pants!
-Watching films is generally a good experience, but the rendering isn't fantastic on darker films, probably mainly due to the quality of videos I have. Youtube HD videos are perfect.
-Google earth works but there doesn't seem to be any zoom buttons so is useless, i haven't looked into that yet.
All in all i'm happy with it, I bought a Xenta bluetooth keyboard with built in mouse which connects fine directly with the built in bluetooth. The mouse is a bit frustrating though so will be buying a bluetooth mouse.
Hope that helps
hi sadsplace, im just thinking of buying one, are you still happy 2 weeks in, any new suggestions?
thanks

No Skype calls on new MK 809 II
I just got this new TV stick which seems to be working fine. Still, I'm unable to make calls in Skype. I attached a USB webcam and I also paired a bluetooth headset, I enabled video calls in Skype, but when I get to call anyone, after 2 or 3 rings, the call fails no matter if the other party answered or not. The only error message I see is "Call failed".
If anyone experienced this, is there a way to at least see if the webcam and the BT microphone are correctly installed? I tried several webcam apps from Google Play just to get an immage on my screen and finally I got one, but not in Skype.. .
