Sorry to break your bubble, but there's still no Android that can run from NAND yet, so, no, you cant replace WM with android yet. Devs are working on it, tho. As of now, you can only dual boot WM and Android. Frankly, I love the fact that we can have both OS's, I mean, which other phone can do that as good as our beloved HD2 does? And, we also have Ubuntu, and will soon also have Meego and WP7! The HD2 is THE most versatile phone ever!

windows mobile 6.5 from htc touch2 to htc tattoo, whether this can work? if you can, please give me your room to vm 6.5 and how to install on the htc tattoo...
thanks
Damn it, but Android is the best mobile OS and you want to replace it with Windows Mobile? Why?

Some people prefer WM os 'cause they see it a little more "in their style"
That's not bad...
Personally i prefer Android OS but that's just me
My friend i think you can't have this done in your tattoo :/
I think it's possible ... htc touch2 and htc tattoo is different only in appearance masks, sprecifikacija them is the same
doesn't work on tattoo, different drivers, and wtf, wm sucks, even if i develop software for wm. Like i saw on other posts, if you don't like android because linux is hard, just sell the phone and buy wm phones.
so, yes or no? I`m interested too.
bobisimeonov +1
Write the corresponding winmo drivers for tattoo and then it'll work - have fun, since this is a hell of work coming towards one
dont think so
hi
guys i have Jade which has the same specs as the Tattoo and they guys at the jade section have been trying the reverse of what u want and it seems impossible so i got this one just to try out the android so i think its the same here so if u really wana try Winmo 6.5 then buy a winmo
I think its possible
I Think that it is possible to install windows 6.5 on tattoo

The link has spaces because i am new i can´t post links
I don't know chinese, but with google translator I found that this is for a clone with wm with a different hardware:

So, you cannot install these roms on tattoo.

This won't work, you can only get bricked trying to flash it or whatever... It can't possibly work without editing anything lol
Who in the world would install windows over linux? You gotta be insane to do that!

Hi Friends!!!
It´s time to upgrade from my HTC Universal, and who knows from windows mobile.
(I can buy for a decent price a OmniaII....)
So my question is (and sorry if its a already asked question) can I have dual OS?
And if its possible, when I go from android to WM (or vice versa), do I have a Hard reset?
(Do I need to install everything???) or the os are "freezed".
Whope that you understand.
Thanks
I cannot see why not.

Thanks ChrisMitsis,
Hi, I have now my Omnia II with win 6.5.3 from which I can run android. And if I want to use Win again, i just have to soft reset the phone and omnia starts as usually with win But there are still some troubles with froyo maybe you should buy a "normal" android phone instead, huh?
try Gen.Y DualBOOT v1.0.6.0
Hello,
I have a question about having windows mobile 6.x on windows phone 7 devices. In Microsoft, or elsewhere, forum they said that downgrading from WP7 to WM6.x is not possible just as upgrading from WM6.x to WP7.
Well, since it is been done to upgrade to WP7, I was wondering if downgrade is possible?
Thank you.
You can downgrade to WM6.5 from WP7. Just flash your 6.5 ROM as you normally would through the bootloader, this will remove MAGLDR as well as WP7 and return your phone to 6.5

Nope, I think he's talking about a WP7 native phone, so no MAGLDR no downgrade AFAIK.
PS. this should go to Q&A
Yes, I have WP7 native and would be most happy to downgrade it to WM6.5. I guess that it isn't posible to do it now, because there are no tools created for it, but it would be nice to know that it just could be possible to do it.
Anything is possible with the right developers behind your phone. Cottula was the savior for our phone!

Well, I do really hope that development will go, just a bit, to that direction.

I wouldn't wait for that to happen. The WM6.5 drivers would have to be created from scratch.
If you *really* want a good WM6.5 device, get a HD2 with a good ROM on it.
Yes, but the problem is that I have already purchased the phone. I do like it, but a bit anxious for new apps. I've considered HD2 long time ago, and I always had a qwerty keyboard on the phone (Wizard, Raphael, Kovsky, Xperia X2, Touch Pro 2 and now 7 Pro) cause I like it. But, unless WP7 starts to develop, HD2 is the best possible solution.
Thank you krazyakar.
hi guys, i need help with my HTC HD2 device OS. i got the phone and it had windows 6.5 on it, some guy helped me install the froyo android on it and removed the windows 6.5 completly from the phone, so didn't leave dual boot option. i'm trying to updgrade the 2.2 version to gingerbread 2.3, but the problem is the gingerbread can be installed only using executable windows files and using active sync from windows 6.5 but not from android based OS. is there a way to do so? or is there a way to revert back to windows? i've searched everywhere but all posts say how to install android on HD2 using windows 6.5. apreciate any help here
You need to go to the thread for the ROM you are running it will have all the support you need! If not then choose a different rom
Hello all still having this wonderful device HTC HD2,
Directly asking my question - Is it possible Windows Mobile and Android to work on the same device? I think people call it dual boot. Unfortunately I couldn't find a solution. Badly there are still apps only available on WM which are very precious but I also very much like the easiness of Android.
I am using tytung Android 4.4.4 KK and I am having EU version of HD2.
Appreciate any guides,
BR,

Thank yo poyensa! I manage booting both Android and Windows Mobile.
Now second question. Can I boot also Ubuntu together with Android on the NativeSD?
Cheers,
I think is possible but I have never tried: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975081
