Just received my unlocked Dell Streak with froyo pre-installed. Everything seems good. Installed Launcher Pro as I use that as my main and started logging into my accounts (Twitter & Facebook) thru Launcher Pro. Twitter went thru just fine. Face book keeps giving me an error when I try to log in. I can't even get to the point where it allows me to enter my loging & password. It just gives me an error saying: "the server failed to communicate, please try again later" Works on my other android devices. Anyone have any ideas what this can be? Thanks guys.

Had the same issue until I installed the official BB-318 v12821 of froyo and now I have no problems. Which version of 2.2 was pre-installed on your Streak Raspster?
It had GAUSB1A131900 (build #: 12332) And I hit up the links provided from streaksmart from here:

Did this from my streak, it downloaded and installed without even doing anything. Was like an official update even thou when I clinked on the update software in settings it did nothing. Everything works fine. It didn't even wipe the phone. Just updated it. Thanks again guys.

hi guys, i am using a rooted nexus one with CM 5.0.6 rom and latest radio.
the issue i am having is that I cant seem to successfully upload a pic to facebook - it keeps stalling at 40% or 90% and after a while says failed.
This is very annoying considering I am using this N1 as my 'social' phone and my BBerry as email phone.
I have been trying to look for a solution but cant find any - I would appreciate any help you guys can share
Ps. also is there a way to remove Icons from the Menu - such as Amazon MP3

do you think its worth going back to 5.0.53 ?

maybe try un-installing the current FB app first then try installing from market. I think if you upgrade the FB app you no longer have the contact sync
thanks Teidullie, I was able to install the FB 1.1.4 on my nexus 1. But that meant changing roms to modacos or stock rom. for some reason it would not install on CM's rom both .53 and .6.
I am not able to upload images to FB though when I am on 3g, over wifi it works fine.
Everytime i try, it stalls on x% and says failed.
Any help?

glad you found a work around but that sucks that it will only work over wifi. Did you loose the facebook contact sync feature when you upgraded?
hi again - the fb contact sync is still there - which is good. but id much rather be able to upload pics on the go. I am surprised that alot of users arent having this issue.

I have also some problem, but i have setup the upload pictures via email in facebook, and just share via email instead of facebook application.
It gives you a private email address (somethink like [email protected]) fthat will upload anything you send there to your facebook account.
I'm on CM 5.0.6 and uploaded photos to FB yesterday evening without issue. Using the FB app that came built in to the ROM.

After i enter my user name&pass it says "signing in" for a while and wants me to enter my user id&pass again without any warning like "connection error, password error etc."
What can the problem be? Any ideas?

First, if you're having a problem that occurs when using a certain build, you should probably post about your problem in the thread or on the site where you got that build.
But as far as Skype goes, and because you said you used an older apk file, there were a lot of problems with skype for android which they just fixed, like a week ago, so yeah, your older apk won't work.

I haven't tried skype on another android build on my phone so don't know yet if it works with any other android build or not. Maybe any other builds are having the same problem, this is the first reason why i started a new thread. As i said in my first post, i use tiad8's blazn 2.2 build which is really the fastest and the most useful one with every function working. I also asked about the same problem on tiad's website. I tried lots of skype builds,most of which still work on my brother's zte android phone. they are old versions or not, but they still work! But on my blackstone they don't. Only skype lite could sign in on my phone but as you know it is so unfunctioned
The new update (pushed to me in the UK 9/10/11 has forced the stock browser and Dolphin browsers to Mobile. Changing to any other setting in the browser setting has no effect. I has similar problems with various ROM updates on the Galaxy S last year with the same bug. Does anyone know of a fix? If not can I downgrade back to the previous ROM without rooting?

There's a fix by Roach for Prime rom but it may be incompatible with stock.

Just Tried Opera, it went to the desktop version of bbc.co.uk a couple of times, but now it just goes to the mobile site... so not sure what the hell is happening! User Agent still set to desktop
Also , I couldn't get opera to play any flash content either. I have flash enabled in its advanced options, and I have tried "Enabled" and "Click to Play". It doesn't matter which I try , a big play symbol appears where the flash should be, but when you click it dissapears and nothing happens.
Any Ideas?

Yes, Prime is based on latest OTA (and always is) and personally I don't see a reason to stay with stock.
The fix we're talking about is included in cumulative 2.0.3 patch, found in the Prime thread.
Do not try to install the fix on rom any other than Prime (including stock) because it contains rom-specific framework files. Instead, follow the instructions to install Prime 2.0.1 and update to 2.0.3 and you'll get a smooth, stable, solid rom in addition to just fixing user agent stuff.

The BBC web site is notorious for using the mobile version of their site.
What I did was scroll to the bottom, select preferences and when the next window opened I looked down for where it says "Desktop Version ~ Same version of the site you will find on your PC". I clicked on "Get this" and it then opened the BBC site in Desktop version.

1. I don't find any problems using what's in my sig. Fast, stable, battery efficient. Everything is running as expected and I use quite a lot - 112 apps installed.
2. I believe you can do it with any version of transformer, excluding those with late B70 or any B80+ part number, see a bunch of threads about this.
3. Depends; you can root first and then flash custom rom using CWM, or you can straight use NVFlash version and you'll get root right away. (Assuming your transformer is rootable, see #2).
My Nokia X2 pick up a software update of 219MB and it is being downloaded now. The existing version is 2.0.2.0.0.11. The new version is 2.1.0.11. Does anyone has idea about this new update? Or is it an already released version that my phone picks it up late?

yeah u read that right my phone got bricked after i install the google play (Nokia Care suite is Your Friend with flashing rom) after i finally solved that annoying flashing NOKIA but it wont open at all, i tried to root the 2.1.0.11 with nokia x tools 1.1 and it worked, but ididnt try to install google play again until somebody here in xda dev forum will post how to install it harm free.

It just randomly started appearing the other day and i hadnt installed any new apps and i had only updated some apps from the play store.
After running dozens of antivirus and anti-malware apps to no avail i decided to carry a factory reset.
this worked untill i restore by apps using my gobackup pro app so i assumed it was to do with a infected app.
so after another format, it lasted a day and this morning i ran some updates for some app which some preloaded with my stock rom and BAM the spam is back.
I am currently running a rooted stock Samsung rom build ANE2 from Thu May 8 2014 on a SM-G900F
has anyone else found this problem and its there a way to get rid of this without loosing all google account or sms'

So after 3 days of investigation i can confirm that issue i was having with the spam url (http://us.mobilestips.com/ltjs/us/Index.html ) i was having was in fact coming from the latest version of Go Launcher EX.
I am in the process of emailing the devs to inform them of the issue.

I didn't do any debugging to indicate that this was from Go Launcher Ex but FYI, I'm having the same problem on:
Nexus 5
Android 5.0 Build LRX21O
Go Launcher EX 5.0.9
Delete GoLauncher and see if that fixes the problem.

For me, merely switching to another launcher without even removing GoLauncher did solve the problem (as far as I know).
