My internet speed been slow lately on 3g,so I decided to update PRL list and now my radio shuts off every 2 minutes and restarts so I can't even browse internet.
Can someone please post a flashable DK28 modem or if its safe to flash DI18 modem on DK28 rom post DI18 modem.
I know its included in Odin restore but since my radio shuts off every few minutes I cant download it.
Or is there a simpler method of mabe replacing PRL file with old one with Root Explorer?Any help is appreciated.
Please post questions in General section.

i have the froyo 2.2.1 on my epic 4g, i discovered my gps doesnt work so im trying to find this file sph-D700-D18-8gb-REL-tar.md5 for Odin so my epic goes back 2 stock, i cant find it anywhere in tar fomat, i need to download this to make my epic stock again so i can have my GPS working. someone please help me find this file, it has to be in TAR for mat and size is 255 mb.
There is not a DI18 rel.tar from what I have gathered.
But a quick search of the dev threads with "Return to stock" turned up:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=773032
Load that and let it update OTA on its own to DI18.
according to this video there is. & the links in that video are pulling up a 404 error so the site doesnt exist so that was a dead end.

The information you need is in this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=794138
Use the DI18 update link to get the file. (The release is DI18, not D18)
To be sure, here is the link to the file. http://www.multiupload.com/X9AB1U56JV extracted from the thread above.
I used this link earlier this month, so it should still work.
I've run all three of DI01, DJ05, and DL09, and today I decided to go back to DI01. I noticed, though, that my baseband version has v.DL09 tacked on to the end, while build version says DI01 like it should. What is the Baseband, and should I be concerned that it's DL09 when I'm running DI01?
Does everything still work? I noticed that on my wife's phone and realized that sms, mms, didnt work along with freezing. She was going from di01 to dl09. We had a bad download for the rom I think. It was only 120 mb instea dc of 154 mb. Hsd to odin again with dj05 and pit file, and reroot I believe. Good luck.

Baseband is the radio or modem version depending upon what thread you read. The radio/modem file is flashed via odin. And mismatched radio/modem and rom will lead to things not working. You need to find the matching radio/modem for the particular rom you are running.
good day.
if you're gonna be on DI01 you need to have matching modem. same goes for EVERY rom. Modem has to batch build version. if it doesn't, you're asking for stupid things to happen.
Okay, then. Anyone know where I can get a copy of the DI01 radio? I searched for a while and the only thing I found was this, and I get a status 7 error from clockwork when I try to flash that modem_update.zip.
Brah that would explain whats wrong. YOU CAN'T FLASH A MODEM FILE WITH CWM. You need to flash the modem file with odin.
These are instructions on flashing a modem file HERE step 6 and on is for a rom.
your best bet would be to just flash a dj05 rom. If you can't find the di01 modem.
good day.
D'oh. And I knew that too, from flashing DJ05 and DL09.
However, I'm still stuck without a DI01 modem, because the thread I linked to does *not* provide modem file like I thought. It *is* a CWM update zip; for what, I'm not sure. So again, I have to ask, do you know where I can find a DI01 modem?
Thanks for the help.
Adrynalyn has a return to completly stock thread, its in the development section.

I'd really rather not return to complete stock when all I need is the modem. Is it possible to extract it from the stock odin tar file found here?
Check in IRC, someone there will have it... If they are in a good mood
Thanks. For now I've just done a restore back to the DL09 set up I was running to get me through tonight and work in the morning. I'll ask around in IRC tomorrow. Thanks for the help, guys.
my phone stucked in odin program now. I used DJ05 but decided to go DI01 because of 3g network. I usually use my phone outside where not reached wifi network. I found "DI01package3.tar.tar" file in this forum and started odin put that file into pda section and running it, processing gage bar on the phone showing me about 70% getting done then just no moving it.(I meant stucked)
so I asked Mr. scott he answered me I need to have "DI01.modem file"
so my question is does anyone know where I can get the DI01.modem file ???

Cellular south Galaxy S
Tried to flash CWM using oden.

Took me into boot loop/blue recovery screen. Thought I was bricked. I found this and flashed with oden.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1124391
Now im stuck with a verizon rom on my phone. I cannot connect to data networks to get my google acount running. I found a Cellular South rom and cant get it to flash via recovery...what am i doing wrong?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=895429&highlight=cellular+south
any ideas? I cant seem to get clockworkmod flashed to get a custom rom on the phone. im stuck!
you need to odin back to stock
well I found some stock odin files. Got It running again with CS 2.2.1 stock. Problem is that I still do not have data connection. When I dial *228 it tries to connect me to Verizon's setup number. I flashed both the stock rom in the PDA section of odin and the modem in the PHONE section of odin. Why am I stuck on Verizon when I used a CS modem in Odin?
Thanks for you help!
You flashed using the phone section on Odin?

sorry for the confusion...
I used theses files in Odin...
PIT: atlas_v2.2.2.pit
PDA: EE25_fullOdin.tar.md5
PHONE: EE25_modem.tar.md5
CSC:
The files are made for the cellular south galaxy. After flashing I am back to the "default" 2.2.1 for cellular south. But like I said, I have no data connection and connect to a verizon number when I dial *228 and *22800
I just got it working FINALLY. flashed the modem file by itself and all is well. Is there any way to get clockworkmod working without using a computer?
Glad you got it workin... Never use the phone function in odin, PDA ONLY!!
Odin and rom manager is the only 2 ways I know to get CWR. I only use odin since RM only works with certain recoveries on the fascinate...however your phone may be different.
On another side note...
Can anyone tell me if Cyanogenmod is worth it for the Cellular South version of the galaxy s? I had it on the good old HERO and it gave it new life.
Or maybe MIMU?
Any way to speed up the phone without Voodoo? I read that it will not work on the 2.2.1 stock rom...right?
I finally got it running again after 3 days of no data. I dont want to be in a bind again as my phone is an essential tool at work. I apologize if these questions have already been answered. I have been reading on xda for about 2 hours now.
cm7 and miui are getting alot better. I think most bugs are worked out. Stil a few sensor issues, but the low audio is fixed. Id say give it a go, you can always odin back to stock. Only way to speed up froyo 2.2.1 is to flash imnuts pbj kernal in clockwork recovery. There is both novoodoo and voodoo options with that kernal.
So I just got a replacement S4 in the mail after the other one got dropped in some water. . .
After getting the phone on, I did the update and all seemed well. . . . until I went to connect to my wifi.
I did not want to root this phone as its my girlfriends and she never seems to care, but would rooting it and installing a custom ROM fix the wifi bug?
OR is there any other way to fix the wifi problem? I am hopping I dont end up having to go back to a sprint store and getting a new phone.
Thanks
Sometimes the update doesn't copy everything right, first, try to odin just the modem software for your version that you can find here in unknownforces thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2338919
If that doesn't work, I would download the full mk2 tar file from sammobile.com and odin that to the phone. If you are still having problems after that you can try odining the MJA modem from unknownforces thread above.
