Rooting + installing custom roms.

Hello,
almost 2 years ago I bougt the samsung galaxy spica.
In the beginning I loved my phone but a year after buying I hated android 1.5
Samsung didn't do anything at that moment, so i rooted it and installed a lot of custom roms on it .
At the moment it is running an unstable version of android 2.3.4 but android 2.2 (froyo) is really stable on it, and it enables multitouch.
All the information how to do it is on the website samdroid.net
Android 2.2 Froyo for i5700 is based on CyanogenMod-6.1.1
Android 2.3 Gingerbread for i5700 is based on CyanogenMod-7.1.0 (it's still under development as for example camera isn't working).
Telephone has a bright future as user named tom3q is finishing brand new, custom made form scratch 2.6.38 kernel with brand new dedicated 3D drivers.

Updates for Espresso ROM

Updates for The Espresso ROM across all galaxy s devices (Fascinate, Captivate, Vibrant) are decreased a little.
Q. Why?
A. I have to worry about The MIUI ROM I Ported to the fascinate (Yes, given their are MIUI Developers but Andmer is getting a prime when it comes out and DroidVicious Doesn't have a Fascinate (As it sounds) ) So Yes.
The Espresso ROM Is Stable now.
Their should be a update tonight but I Don't know.

[Q] How come there are no good AOSP roms for the i9500?

I understand the source code for the i9500 kernel has been released, wasn't this the limitation rom modders had for releasing AOSP based roms?

There's a lot of code on the processor side that's proprietary which Samsung won't & don't have to release.

A question for devs

Can we expect a ported touchwiz ROM of an android N any soon?

Click to collapse
Sadly thats not gonna happen .
For android N touchwiz ported roms required note 4 Nougat kernel and note 4 will never get android n official update from samsung.:crying:
At this point only aosp android n roms are available.
There is a variant of tab s2 which has similar hardware like that of note 4. Luckily, it is getting android nougat officially.
So, we can expect a port once nougat is out for tab s2.
