E:signature verification failed, Installing Muti-CSC Installtion adorted - Galaxy Tab General

Hi,
Last night tried to upgrade the firmware of my Tad but something goes totally wrong.
My device was Vodafone GR fully unlooked with firmware:
PDA: P1000BUJI4
PHONE: P1000BUJI3
CSC: P1000VGRJI1
I have try to back up the firmware using “Roto Backup!” but “adb shell” command not completed.
I pressed with the firmware update without having the backup using this steps:
Download from Famfirmware P1000XXJMA and Odin3 v1.7
Use the included in Odin P1_20100909.pit and in PDA the JMA.tar file using Repartition, Auto reboot and F.Reset time.
Enter the device in Download mode and update without error.
After finishing the update, device rebooted in Download mode again.
Disconnect device from USB and reboot holding the Power bottom.
The devise stack in Samsung logo and vibrate once and then another 3times, this happened in loop.
Try to flash older firmware using Odin3 v1.3 1 with error
<ID:0/015> Firmware update start..
<ID:0/015> boot.bin
<ID:0/015>

Try to flash the Vodafone P1000BUJI4 and discover that installing CSC after reset get error E:signature verification failed, Installing Muti-CSC Installtion adorted.
Now Tap be able to boot but not PDA and CSC version appeared only the Phone version appeared P1000XXJM6 (the last tried)
PDA:
PHONE: P1000XXJM6
CSC:
Any Ideas???

Try to flash the JJ4 with P1(which is a full firmware, if you got errors go ahead with the JM6 still without repartition) and then JM6 don't select re-partition when you flash the JM6.

I have install the P1000XXJM6 form http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=854300
Now PDA and CSC appeared correctly.
I steal cannot downgrade.
Also I discover that E:signature verification failed, Installing Muti-CSC Installtion adorted error appeared when I try to install CSC from other version.
Also in JM6 non included Greek input language, is it normal???
Is there any firmware with Greek language input???
Thanks’ in advanced.

A little bit late, but better than nothing
If you want your tab to have latest Vodafone firmware (gingerbread) follow the instructions below:
----1) download Check Fus Downloader 2.1 from here
----2) use it with the following codes shown below to download latest gingerbread official firmware for your tab:
-------In standard tab, write the following inside the firmware info label:
-------Product code: GT-P1000CWAVGR
-------PDA: P1000BUJMC
-------CSC: P1000VGRJM3
-------Phone: P1000BUJM2
-------Press check firmware. Get it! (download button)
-------Flash it with odin 1.7
-------Done and enjoy your fresh tab!
----3) if you want to root it also, get this attachment CF-Root-TAB7_XX_OXA_JQ1-v3.3-CWM3RFS.zip from this post.
----------- Follow the following instructions to the letter. Do not touch any buttons or checkboxes that are not listed below to touch!
----------- Unzip the attached CF-Root-xxx-vX.X.zip
----------- (USB) Disconnect your phone from your computer
----------- Start ODIN
----------- Click the PDA button, and select CF-Root-xxx-vX.X.tar
----------- Put your phone in download mode
----------- (USB) Connect the phone to your computer
----------- Make sure repartition is NOT checked
----------- Click the START button
----------- Wait for the phone to reboot
----------- Done!
----4) optional, but better to do it: when it reboots, before first start, press volume down and use wipe in every option you see available. look at the advanced submenu also (dalvik cache). Backup important files first, you will lose everything! You have to do this step to erase foreign CSC setting and set it back to VGR!!!
Done! your tab will work like a charm! I hope this helps you!

[PROB] Can't install recovery, Download mode (Write protection: Enable)

Hi folks,
Having searched the forums I couldn't find an answer.
The problem I'm getting is when I get into download mode. I see the normal green android icon but at the top there is a grey caption saying: Write protection: Enabled.
I've been trying to flash twrp custom recovery but odin tries to do it and at the end it tells me success:0 failed:0.
That's all strange enough as previosly I managed to root the s4 using chainfire's Autoroot.
Could anyone tell me why is this happening and how to jump over it and install TWRP recovery.
//edit
I didn't check before I rooted the device but now I can't access stock recovery.
Cheers.
Ps. the device is: rooted i9505 running XXUAMDC stock rom, network: Three UK.
Attached is a screenshot of what I mean.
Thank you.
Didn't the TWRP site suggest using GooManager to install if you're rooted? Maybe give that a shot.
My unbranded UK s4 also said write protection enabled however I've had no problem installing twrp recovery.
Flashed via odin after putting phone into download mode... Have twrp in pda and it's checked in the box next to it...

I have the same issue. I'm stock XXUAMDE with CF-ROOT.
I haven't tried to flash TWRP but I can't boot into stock recovery.
It says 'booting recovery' in blue but then just hangs.
Have you tried using Super SU app and unrooting?
Ok.
I tried using GOOmanager, it cannot find suitable recovery for my device (which is strange as you may find it through TWRP web page).
When I choose in GOO to reboot to recovery it actually gets me to stock recovery (I still can NOT get into recovery using power+home+UP)
When i try to flash TWRP using (newly discovered via GOO) stock recovery it looks like that:
There is a broken android icon (see 1st attached file) and the text
-reboot system now
-apply update via ADB
[.....]
# MANUAL MODE #
Applying Multi-CSC
Applied the CSC-Code : H3G (btw H3G is my carrier, three UK)
Successfully applied multi-CSC
when I choose the recovery file to flash I'm getting response that E:\signature verification failed
Again everything I've done with the phone was CFroot, that is it. No custom rom etc or other playing with it.

I've got EXACTLY the same behaviour. I discovered GOO manager allowed me to boot into stock recovery.
Thanks for your interest.

If you're having problems check the thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2266336
It's the same method I used to root my phone and flash TWRP. (I too have write protection enabled)
write protection enabled means nothing
I have the exact same thing written on mine.
I have CF-Auto-Rooted mine AND TWRP 2.5 placed on mine, both using ODIN method.
No issues at all - both work perfectly fine.

Try using just the Vol Up+Power. Once the phone vibrates, let go of the power but keep holding the up key until you see something appear on the screen. That works on my non-rooted phone to get into recovery.
Hiya
Just for your information.
I've done factory reset, it preserved root access (which I found strange) and now I've managed to flash twrp recovery (which in my view is way too much touch sensitive )
Thanks for all the replies.

Hi All,
Just got my galaxy s4 i9505 with baseband XXUAME2. Have been trying to root this using CFROOT via odin numerous times but each time it fails. The error message includes "write operation failed" and "No PIT partion".
I have downloaded the correct PIT file and tried again but the same problem again.
I have further tried to flash pre-rooted firmware and another stock firmware but again - nothing I do seems to work.
Have tried the factory reset as well but again does not work.
Have tried flashing using motochopper method but also does not work.
Was hoping if someone could kindly extend his/her expertise - I am completely clueless at this point..
Ok for those getting the following error using Odin,
<ID:0/004> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/004> Initialzation..
<ID:0/004> Get PIT for mapping..
<ID:0/004> Removed!!
<ID:0/004> There is no PIT partition.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
I was getting the same errors whenever I tried to flash anything and couldn't figure out why. Now I seem to have sorted it.
Try this.
DO NOT HAVE ODIN OPEN YET
Stop KIES on your PC if it is on.
1) Put your phone into Download mode, (Home, Vol Down, Power at same time).
2) Connect your USB to PC/Laptop and phone.
3) Press UP on your phone.
4) now, open ODIN. <---only open AFTER your have pressed UP on your phone. COM and "Added" should be showing.
5) Flash what you need to flash.
(I noticed previously when I had Odin open, then pressed UP, it would show as "Added" and a Com would show, but I would ALWAYS get the Pit error and a Red FAIL)
I have now tried this method several times on the trot, flashed CWM with success, (where as it was always failing previously), and re-flashed other ROMS with success each time.
Hope this helps others.
Still failing to flash anything usin odin

[Q] Problems with updating bootloader / modem

edit:
I finally managed now to flash DBT NB4 with PIT..
Hello guys,
I have some problems with my N9005.
First problem:
I tried to update my bootloader, also modem witn Odin 3.09
BL: NA6
Modem: NA2
Tried to update bootloader to ND5, also tried modem to NC2. I used key combo to get into download mode.
Auto Reboot and F Reset Time ticked, nothing else. Tried one by one, first BL with BL tab, modem with CP tab
Nothing changed after reboot... still NA6 and NA2
I also used mobile odin, skips modem cuz of write protection. This also is readable in download mode.
Second problem:
After every reboot (normal, recovery, etc.) the time is reset, you have to config manually or let it grab frome time-servers.
Annoying...
Can anyone help me?
Can anyone help me?
I tried to flash N9005XXUENB7_N9005DBTENB2_N9005XXUENB1_HOME.tar.md5 with PDA tab now, with hidden.img it stopped with FAIL (size)
So I used the pit file for DBT and tried again, still FAIL! (Size)
Note 3 now starts only to download mode with firmware upgrade error warning...
edit:

Sometimes pit file is needed for certain firmware.

When updating bootloader and modem, u have to shutdown phone completely before the 3 combos. And do it one by one at the correct tab.

Got your back.
Hey man just make sure you closed odin completely.
1. Start Kies
2.Click Tools-> Firmware upgrade and initilazation
3.Type in model of your phone for example sm-g900i which is my Australian S5 then it will ask you for your SN which is a 16 digit code serial number located on the back of your phone when you remove the battery.
Then just follow steps until it asks YOUR phone to be connected... DONT connect it yet...first put it in download mode; phone turned off; press home but, power but, and vol down bot at same time then press vol up key to enter download mode.
Connect phone; then just wait 1 hour and voila you got your phome with latest stock firmware.
Please reply to us if this worked for you as this can help new users to determine what to do.
Cheers
Sorry but English is not my first language, hope i made myself clear.
If there is anything else i can do to assist please let me know.
Which Kies works with the S5? Because neither seem to be working
I'm having pretty much the same problem, had a bad flash and can't boot into recovery or get it detected in Kies
And I can't flash stock Marshmallow or Lollipop till I finish downloading them
Going through firmware upgrade and installation option and putting in the model just causes Kies to freeze using either version

It's alright I fixed it now, still couldn't get Kies to work
I flashed the latest version of Lollipop (no carrier) to the phone, which initially sent it into a bootloop. But that enabled recovery again so I did a data and cache wipe, flashed the same ROM from ODIN again and it worked

G950f - After TWRP stuck on logo, no recovery, odin says 'no PIT patrition'.. help!

Hi all, i've also posted this on sammobile but have had little response. I installed TWRP on my S8 (G950f) and when it rebooted got stuck on the logo screen. I cannot enter recovery mode, only download mode. I've tried flashing with the latest Odin and it fails at the start with error DeviceInfo. So i installed an older version of Odin and now receive the error 'Set PIT file'. I cannot find a PIT file online for the G950f and upon reading it seems this is taken from the CSC file when 'repartition' is selected. I've done this to no avail, still 'Set PIT File' is displayed. I'm certain that the firmware is correct as it's been used before with success. For some reason this TWRP seems to have effed things up. I'm close to putting the phone on Ebay and never touching samsung again

OK I've gotten somewhere (i hope). Followed your suggestion and after repeatedly pressing the Start button in ODIN have managed (somehow) to get into TWRP. However when i click 'install' the 'internal memory' displays as 0 with no option to select it.
Where do i go from here? Looks as if the internal storage is corrupt
The pit file is located in the CSC_OXM_G950FOXM1... file. Open it with winrar or 7zip and extract it.

Looked online and downloaded the files for AQF7 (just the BL and CP files) and whilst in download mode clicked start, held the 3 download buttons down again and hammered the start button in odin.. that made it boot into TWRP. However this just proved there was no partition there as the internal memory read zero.
So i downloaded the firmware for my device (XEU) and opened the CSC file with 7-zip and took out the .PIT file then in ODIN I JUST added the .PIT file and BL files. Pressed start and it worked but still only booted to the logo screen.
Next i added the AP file in ODIN and flashed that. This now went without a problem as the .PIT file had done its job repartitioning the phone.. The phone then restarted and booted to the welcome screen.
Some oddities which i don't understand are that in my Settings menu i now have an option 'T roaming' which shouldn't be there. and also a service provider option for 'KT twophone' whoever that is.
Confusing as i selected my countries (UK) XEU firmware.
My phone says 'international' on the boxes label so whether it's different firmware i'm not sure (couldn't find an international firmware on sam mobile).
*Edit..
I discovered that the additional options in the settings menu were due to me not flashing the CSC file so i reflashed all files at once (ensuring that odin had been reset first) and everythings back to normal.
Interestingly i wonder if i flashed a USA CSC file, would it give me access to the additional content available through the samsung USA store - they seem to have more AOD's, addons etc
Well Derr... because i discovered that android pay didn't work i felt like i had no option but to install TWRP... tried it, followed the instructions perfectly and it failed on DeviceInfo so now i'm back to the beginning.. stuck at the galaxy logo screen ( getting fed up of this phone now

It got worse, however i've fixed it. I kept getting stuck in a boot loop despite having a successful flash. I just happened to check the files being flashed and realised that the BL file was the AQF7 bootloader and the other files were from my countries firmware. so i reflashed just the BL file for my country and the phone has now started
It looks as though flashing with TWRP won't work on my device for some reason as it seems to delete or corrupt the PIT. It's then a pain to get it all back working again.
Any other options to install TWRP?
Thanks

Need help to install custom ROM

I know that the Samsung Grand 2 (SM-G7102). But I need help to flash custom ROM on a phone. This phone is still using stock ROM
If I remembered correctly, the step is :
Enable USB debugging mode -> done
Download odin -> done v 3.09
Install Samsung Driver -> done
Use USB cable that transfer data -> done, verified it can transfer data from/to computer
Get flashable TWRP -> done : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...y-grand-2-sm-g7102-unofficial-updated.3778414
Go to download mode and flash TWRP file.
On step 6, I got an error like below :

Whether you are looking to flash a custom ROM, or root your device, TWRP recovery helps a lot. Today, the latest version of TWRP recovery for Galaxy Grand 2 was released, which we’re sharing with you here along with installation guide.
With Galaxy Grand 2 TWRP recovery, you also gain the ability to create full Nandroid backup of the device, which can be sued to retore the device back to current condition, even if you flash a wrong firmware or ROM on it.
Without a doubt, TWRP is an incredible tool, and completely worth it even if you have to break warranty of your device for it, which it does.
KNOX gets tripped when you install TWRP, so know that you won’t be able to use enterprise apps that require KNOX, mostly the apps from your own company where you may be working.

→ Check the official downloads page here for the latest version of Galaxy Grand 2 TWRP available at the moment.
Supported devices
SAMSUNG GALAXY GRAND 2, model no. SM-7105
Don’t try this on Galaxy Grand 2 Duos, whose model no. is SM-7102
Don’t try on any other device whatsoever whose model no. is different than the one provided above!
Important: Check your device’s model no. on its packaging box, or in Settings > About device.
Warning: Warranty may be void of your device if you follow the procedures given on this page. You only are responsible for your device. We won’t be liable if any damage occurs to your device and/or its components. Also, this trips KNOX, meaning KNOX would stop working on your device, and thus you won’t be able to Samsung Pay, or install enterprise Apps on your device at Office.
Backup important files stored on your device before proceeding with the steps below, so that in case something goes wrong you’ll have backup of all your important files. Sometimes, Odin installation may delete everything on your device!
Step-by-step Guide
Step 1. Download Odin and TWRP recovery file from above.
Step 2. Install Galaxy Grand 2 driver (method 1 there!) first of all. Double click the .exe file of drivers to begin installation. (Not required if you have already done this.)
Step 3. Extract the Odin file. You should get this file, Odin3 v3.10.6.exe (other files could be hidden, hence not visible).
Disconnect your Galaxy Grand 2 from PC if it is connected.
Step 5. Boot Galaxy Grand 2 into download mode:
Power off your Galaxy Grand 2. Wait 6-7 seconds after screen goes off.
Press and hold the three buttons Power + Home + Volume down together until you see warning screen.
Press Volume Up to continue to download mode.
Step 6. Double click on extracted file of Odin, Odin3 v3.10.6.exe, to open the Odin window, as shown below. Be careful with Odin, and do just as said to prevent problems.
Step 7. Connect your Galaxy Grand 2 to PC now using USB cable. Odin should recognize your Galaxy Grand 2. It’s a must. When it recognizes, you will see Added!! message appearing in the Log box in bottom left, and the first box under ID:COM will also show a no. and turn its background blue. Look at the pic below.
You cannot proceed until you get the Added!! message, which confirms that Odin has recognized your device.
If you don’t get Added!! message, you need to install/re-install drivers again, and use the original cable that came with the device. Mostly, drivers are the problem (look at step 2 above).
You can try different USB ports on your PC too, btw.
Step 8. Load the TWRP recovery file into Odin. For this, click the AP button on Odin and the select the kernel’s file you downloaded above.
Step 9. Make sure Re-partition checkbox is NOT selected, under the Options tab. Don’t use PIT tab either. Go back to Log tab btw, it will show the progress when you hit start button in next step.
Step 10. Click the Start button on Odin now to start flashing the TWRP recovery on your Galaxy Grand 2. Wait till installation is finished, after which your Galaxy Grand 2 will reboot automatically. You’ll get PASS message as show below upon successful installation from Odin.
If Odin gets stuck at setup connection, then you need to do this all again. Disconnect your device, close Odin, boot device into download mode again, open Odin, and then select the file and flash it again as said above.
If you get FAIL in the top left box, then also you need to flash the file again as stated just above.
→ That’s it. Enjoy TWRP recovery on your Galaxy Grand 2!
Root Galaxy Grand 2
Now, that you have the TWRP recovery, flash the SuperSU file now to see if you gain root access.
