I know you said that you did all the steps, but did you format the SD card? As well, did you create an "Android" folder or did you just copy over the build to the root of your card?
What are your stats, for better help.
And, lastly, did you search your builds thread for problems?

I too am having this exact same problem.
Actually I had android working fine on my phone for about a month.
When I tried to load another ROM, I could not get it to load anymore.
I followed all the steps, I also reformatted my card and copied the file over to the root of my card.
Now when I try to load the original Android ROM that I had going on my phone that will not will load either. When I click the HaRet.exe it goes to the hTC screen and just freezes there and does not progress, I have waited over an hour and no changes occur.
I have the VBNROM with Radio 2.15.50.14
I have tried 5 or 6 different Android ROM's and all give the exact same result.
I searched the build threads for some of these but could not find anyone with a similar problem.
When it was working, I had ChuckyROM with Radio 2.12.xx.xx
And I tried with this also, and now am having a similar problem
If anyone has a solution to this, it would be greatly appreciated.

How are you installing the Build? Through USB or through directly inserting the card into pc?

Did you do a full format of your SD-card, or just a quick format? If these kind of issues occur, I'd advise you to do a full format, for example with SDFormatter. If the issue persists, do a task29, flash your ROM and Radio again and start over.
Sincerely,
Mac

Task29 means formatting the internal filesystem when you install a different WM ROM. It prevents leaving traces from a previous ROM when switching. What ROM and radio are you using?

Then you should already be familiar with Task29 . Did you use it prior to flashing Chucky? If your troubles persist, I advise you to start over by reading this thread and then flash a compatible ROM and Radio of your choice. Make sure you re-format your SD-card as described in my previous post.
Let us know if you run into trouble...

[Need Help]ROMs won't boot after initial setup

I hope someone here can help me to make my LEO work again.
Im having huge problems with my HD2 after flashing a ROM with Extendir. While setting up the device with Preset Installer my PDA went to deep sleep and failed installing all cabs.
After reboot it hung on the screen where Radio Version etc. is shown. That is why i made another Hard Reset. That let my phone boot again but after initial setup it hangs again at that place.
I tried another ROM and experienced the same problem. After that i went back to shiped with spl and radio. Not even that fixed the problem.
I tried MTTY with task 29 and reflash stock. It stays the same! After initial setup my phone sometimes hangs before or after boot animation. sometimes it boots till sense is started and hangs there.
Does anyone have a smart idea how i can make my leo run propper again?
Thanks for help.
edit: im not sure if its Extendir. It could be something else, too. I tried flashing via usb and storage card.

to assess that rom V.0.8 it has rom 2.0x base
radio 2,08 to enable 576 MB

try to chnge a version radio or try to change version rom
if you use radio 2.08 from rom 2.07,try to flash rom cooked with 576 Mb enable
sorry for my poor english,i'm Italian
Sorry mate
the problem is other
I have since the rom of bob qualified V.08 is for 576 mb
You tried booting up with the SD card taken out of the device?
WB
You need to have a radio that supports the 576 mb. But I don't think this is your problem. It sound like to me your storage card is the problem. If you have another storage card format it to FAT 32 and try again. I bet your problem is solved. Also Don't use a 16gb card until you know for sure it is working. Even then there are problem with some people using them.
I dont have a Storage Card inserted now. Still the same problem
Btw. Using Laurentius V1.2 now. Same error here. i try to flash a lower Radio now.
As i said before i flashed stock 1.66 via storage card with radio and spl and still had the same Problem.

Everything flashes as usual. HSPL, Radio and ROMs. The software just isnt running stable after flash.
If it would be a Radio/SPL/ROM problem the stock rom should fix it.
Not wanting to be the one to say it but maybe your device is defective or damaged. Or maybe the problem was caused ny the failure going to sleep, but I don't think so. I have accidentally unplugged mine before during flash and still got it back. If you reflash the ROM it should work again. If you don't have any luck I would flash back to the Stock ROM and take it in for repair.
To bad noone can help. I will do some research and if i have no success i will send it back.
Some weeks of waiting

Yes there have been many. There have been some in my threads. There is also a thread posted here with lots of discussions and it was determined the the lock ups and freezes with Manila 19222911 was the 16gb cards. It seems there was only one ROM that did not have the problem and unfortunately this cook doesn't share with others.
im making improvements. after flashing stock i found out that i can change more and more settings and install programs without the need to hard reset. when i damage the filesystem with a program or setting i hardreset the device. after restart i can install that program without problems and can try another one.
seems that my device is repairing magically

I guess I don't understand. You have to have a working ROM to install a program? For a stock ROM you should not have to install anything. It either works or it doesn't.

[Q] Boot Failure Black Screen Green HTC

Hi, this is my first post on this forum so first of all I would like to appolagise for all the things I've either just done wrong, or am about too....
I am trying to install android on to my phone, I am on the stock rom but have succsesfully installed HSPL3 and radio version 2.11.50.20.
I have tried a few builds of Android but allways have one of 2 results.
Once I've run clrcad followed by harlet, it tells me I'm booting to linux. The screen then goes black, it runs about 8 lines of code, stops there and changes to a black screen with a green HTC. Where it remains indefinatly.
A friend with anouther HD2 has android working fine on his device, and altho he has a custom rom he tells me its not essential, as ive read up on the potential risks I would rather stick with the stock but will change if thats whats causing the problem.
I would really appreciate some suggestions, thanks in advance for your time and help.
Peter
forgot to add, the second result is the screen going blue indefinatly, which I presume from my extensive knowledge.........lol is a blue screen of death
upgrade your radio, im on 2.12.50, and the newest is 2.15.50
also, try a modded windows mobile rom, i use standard energy with no issues.
also, make sure you only have that one android build on your SD card. and that it's a new build, not an ancient one. (check http://android.hd2roms.com/)
you shouldnt have any more issues.
Thanks for the advice, unfortunatly before seeing your post I uprgraded too chuckeys rom, not energy, but get the exact same error... Leads me to beleive the problem is elsewhere. Will keep trying tho hope its worth it.
Jai meme problme mon rom est miri hd2 v_18.0 wwe ? Radio 2.15.50.14 ?
Same problem here, tried to change my wm rom and didn't work. I'm looking tonight if I can find a solution...
A little disclaimer
I will not be for any damage that may be caused to your device, HSPL remove warranty so be carefull. Don't forget to have more than 50% of battery remaining before the process !
So, maybe here is the solution:
I've try again with differents roms, changing my wm rom etc. and nothing works.
But, at the end I've change my radio rom to Leo_RADIO_2.12.50.02_2 found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787
Then installed Chucky GTX Lite rom found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=618787
And to finish I've installed the bootloader and download MDJFroYoRevolution 1.4 with android 2.2
I've use the 512 Data img too (just unzip your MDJFroYoRevolution, take the 512 or 1Go file and put this file on your Android root.) isn't necessary but takes less time to work first time.
After that still not working so I managed to try to remove all files from my sd card (2Go only) and I put on ONLY MDJFroYoRevolution 1.4+512Mo Data img !
Then after 10mn~ it works !
I think the bug is only because sd card haven't enough space to create all files so the HTC logo stuck and no error message appear.
Don't forget to install the bootloader on your memory internal storage! and not the on the sd card!
Good luck everyone and I hope it will help.
ps: sorry for my english hope you understand anything
Having the same problem here. I've tried different versions of WM, different Android builds, updated the latest radio rom, all without success.
Strange thing is though that Android boots the first few times, but after resetting it more than about three times it gets stuck on the black screen with the HTC letters in the middle. The only way to get it running again is reformatting my SD card (8G). Only thing on it is the Mdeejay Froyo Sense v2.3 Clean...
Solution for the freeze screen after second boot
I put android not in the root directory but in a \Android directory on the SD CARD.
of course, I add set cmdline "rel_path=Android" in the Startup.txt file and now i can reboot my phone when i want.

Not true. I've installed on a couple of peoples HD2's using the latest stock WWE rom with radio 2.15. It does work, and it works very well.
I'm not saying you shouldn't use custom roms, that is everyone's prerogative (as you can see from my sig I use VBN's rom and it's perfect for me).
Try to move a folder called Android from sd card to another folder or delete it and it should help. It worked in my case. Good luck!
has someone hear find an answer?
given up
I have tried many combos and radios and still stucked at green htc loading logo now i am just hoping for nand. strange thing its the volume down and end does not bring bootloader anymore.

[Q] Cant boot android.

hi there, my hd2 has spl 3.03, radio 2.15 and ROM 3.14. from doing a bit of research on the forums I've found that i can run Android roms without needing to flash. however after trying a few different roms they all seem to freeze on the white htc screen even after leaving them go boot for around 30 mins. can anybody please help me with this issue?
appreciate any help given.
Bump.
Does anybody please have any ideas? I bought the HD2 because I thought I could run android on it...
I've tried multiple ROM and android build combinations and the only one I can get to boot up is from the minimum "energy" package. I've formatted the SD card in each case, and still no luck. I;m new at this whole process so I'm sure I'm screwing something up
Hello!! Me too, i have the same problems : Artemis v44, Rom 3.14, radio 2.15.50.14. and i have 8gb sd card. I tryed different android rom, but it's the same problems.
I continue to try....
Sorry for my bad english.
read the other threads with the same topic on the 1st couple pages...
basicly the proven way to fix it is to format the sdcard to get rid of ghosts that are left over from old data.
Does that mean a full format or Quick format? Ive try quick multiple times. And what first couple of pages are you refering/ Thanks for the response!
full format actualy wipes it, all quick does is removes file names.
you da man! Im doing a 16g......its taking a long time.....is that normal?
Well.....that didnt work. Full format on a 16g SD. Still locks up on HTC screen. Any ideas. Gonna try new SD card tomorrow.
I have the same result, use a new 8g card, android build MCCM_SE_V3.3_FroyoStone_Sense. On my first boot OK. I need to change battery and sim often. switch off and next boot stay on HTC screen forever... Found some solution saying that you must run the two "exe" within 15 sec. after boot into WM, but still doesn't work... help help
Same problem here.
Tried all the steps.
Installed HSPL2
Upgraded radio to: 2.12.50.02
Fully formatted my sd card
Tried several builds (FRG83.MCCM_IR_1.7 & desire hd2)
But it keeps on freezin at the HTC screen when booting.
Any help would be very much appreciated since I'm very much out of guesses.

By the way, what is your location and carrier? I cant see info, am using phone.

Ive formatted multiple times and have ran different Android ROMs. NOTHING. Only thing that works is the basic one provided by ENERGY. (Thanks by the way). Not that this is a bad ROM, Im just trying to learn about this stuff and its frustrating. I'm sure there is more guidance within the threads, but thats like pretty difficult if you dont know where to look
adb logcat
post it, then we can troubleshoot.
dont know how to do that? search. theres atleast 10 stickies in the forums on adb for dummies.
also, i get kinda tired of folks begging for help that cant even do simple stuff like fill out location, sig line etc... come on throw us a bone.

No GO GO GO - different kind of fault

Help Needed Folks-
My unit is the US T-Mobile HD2.
I had android running fine for a few weeks untill it no longer booted past the 'go,go,go' stage.
Its running SPL-2.08 and was using the Desire HD android build and Magldr 1.10.
After reading on various threads re 'go,go,go fault', i now have flashed Magldr 1.13 and then reflashed the android desire hd build all ok.
Problem is it still wont boot past the 'go,go.go' stage. Ive searched numerous threads and cant get my head around this and am now thinking its perhaps a hardware fault as opposed to software, unless ive overlooked something.
Please, i know im new but ANY help or ideas would be appreciated in trying to revive my 2 week old phone.
Thanx & appreciation in advance
Ps- i posted this in The Lounge which might be unsuitable. Moderator please delete it if reqiured.

If all is in NAND (no data.img on SD) then remove the SD and ty again.

The sd card was not in the ph when i flashed. Would this have been a problem?
ie - should the sd card remain in the ph to flash etc?

Ok, firstly i tried to re-flash it (without sd card) and again the same problem occurs.
The rom used is based on the Desire HD build. Run DAF file as administrator.
In the Magldr 1.13 menu i tried option 8 - AD Recovery and it lists the following:
'No Boot Sources'.
Its got me stumped........Any ideas ?
Do i have to flash a radio for the T-Mobile version, as i never did originally and all was working fine ?
Sorry to be a pain fellas, and again, ur time is much appreciated.

You can't do both. If you flash with Daf, then cwm is useless
No need of SD to flash (with DFT of course!)
If you flash a build with DFT you remove CWM (so it's DFT build OR CWM but not both).
You're build is a big one (HD with Sense I think). Are you sure it doesn't have data on the SD? Or need an ext partition?
Read the first page of the thread of your build to be sure.
Usually it's better to put the SD to start Android on first start as it create some hidden folders (files also maybe).
You better delete/recreate the SD partition (fast format sometime doesn't remove SD corruption).
If this doesn't work. try to redo all (SD partition delete, WM stock flash, MAGLDR flash, Build flash).
It cost nothing to do few task29 (even if I don't knwo which part of the NAND it cleans).

You need to flash the new CWM after flashing MAGLDR 1.13, as CWM is now provided as a raw image that you flash through DAF. Once that is done the AD Recovery option in MAGLDR will work and you will be able to boot into CWM to flash ZIP ROM's.
What I understand is that he's trying to flash a DFT build. So it's useless to flash CWM, it will be removed when he'll flash his build with DFT.
Of course he can also flash CWM and use another build (or maybe the build is provided in the two versions...).
Sorry but I don't know the build you want to use.
Just come to my mind. Maybe the build you download is corrupted.
Apply my previous advices and try with another build (one you have on your laptop and you have used before successfully or a new one you download).

[Q] Possibly burnt HD2 - Cannot re-flash radio, magldr or task29

Hello people, I have been going through threads and threads regarding similar problems, but having tried and failed with so many strategies, I will have to bother you all.
So the thing is I was using a CM Jellytime MOD (data on ext) in my HD2, and having frequent hangs and freezes that I thought were linked to LCD malfunction, so I ordered a new screen and digitizer to see if I could save the device. Unluckily, just before these arrived, the HD2 suffered one final freeze, after which every soft reset would give the white blank screen and nothing else. I thought that maybe I should task29 the device and re install the ROM. The bootloader can be still accessed and I re-flashed HSPL with no problems.
But I cannot get to Magldr, as you can imagine, as there is no way to go through the white blank screen. Every time I try to re-flash either the radio (2.15.50.xx), Magldr, or even task29, I get "update errors", and no changes. I tried both using the specific utilities or the NANDtoolkit, to no avail.
I even tried MTTY, which seemed to go well, but did not bring any changes to the situation. It is still the same.
This is my bootloader screen:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
CotullaHSPL 0x05
0x30
Any other info that you think may help I will post it ASAP.
I have read that maybe the NAND has finally died, but I'm not sure and would not abandon the cause without some feedback. Can someone help with this? I will greatly appreciate, I live in Argentina and I don't think I will be able to get another smartphone (I got this one from a good friend who bought himself another one) right now, or ever
If I'm lucky I may be able to sell the LCD and touchscreen replacement, ha.
Thank you all!
pd: sorry if I posted in the wrong thread but I was really confused with the whole subforum arrangement. I moderate a forum and I am aware of how painful it is to start moving threads around.
@leandrox :i recommend removing the sd-card if present, flashing hspl 2.08 again.
Then, flash radio 2.15.50 (even if you tried before, try again now). if that was successful, reflashing magldr should be the success.
Or else...
Also, try putting your hd2 in a freezer, sometimes there may be overheating problems from what i used to see

Hello @Gilbert, thanks for helping with this.
I have tried each flash with the SD and the SIM out, as I have read around about both interfering with flashing. So I guess that's not the problem.
I will try the "pre-cooling method" and tell you how it goes.
Is there any chance I should remove HSPL before re-flashing it? Also, does the battery charge while connected in bootloader mode? Because I am afraid I will finally run out of power througout the try and error processes.
Thanks again.

not sure about removing hspl... you can try that tho. as for battery, you're probably right. there's a possibility it runs out of power.
did you try flashing stock rom from sd or usb? (emphasizing on sd method)

I guess that would be the next wise step (and I'll do it with the right pre-cooling in the freezer).
Correct me if I'm wrong:
- I need a FAT32 (?) formatted SD.
- Then copy the official nbh to the root of the SD, renamed as "leoimg.nbh". (still looking for the correct download; maybe here o here?)
- Enter bootloader screen, with the SD on. After a little while, it should read "loadng" and the flashing can begin.
After this, hopefully, has worked, I should be able to:
- Reflash HSPL 2.08
- Reflash latest radio if needed.
- Reflash Magldr and Clk
- Install new Android ROM
... but I'm looking way ahead my actual hopes
EDIT: I could not download the ROM from any of the quoted sites. Maybe someone can indicate to me the right ROM from this list: http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=windows mobile&model=Leo
My model is the 576 RAM one.

Correct. don't forget that the sd should be between 1 and 8 gb in size (that's what i remember, larger sizes could do weird stuff)

Thanks Gilbert! now I have work for this evening. Tomorrow morning I'll let you know how it went.
But I could not download the ROM from any of the two sites I quoted above. Maybe you can help me choose the right ROM from this list: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46839373&postcount=837
My model is the 576 RAM one.

RUU_Leo_S_HTC_WWE_3.14.405.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship.exe this is the one i used IIRC
Ok @Gilbert, here's the update. No good news so far.
I tried flasing the mentioned official ROM from SD card and I get the "Update terminate / Update failed" message when installing. I also tried with a custom RUU but I got the same message.
I have been reading this thread where some guy apparently had the same problem and fixed it:
"After that I made a new goldcard using Duttys Leo Sense 2.5 Multi-Lang. "
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5384679&postcount=68
but I cannot understand what this actually means. I downloaded the mentioned Dutty ROM but it is a cab file that I don't know how to flash to the HD2.
I still have a tiny hope that the phone may actually come back to life. Again, thanks a lot for helping!

OK. Back to work then.
I will follow this tutorial. But I see I need an ActiveSync/MobileDeviceCenter connection. I don't think you can do that when you have no OS on the phone, right? Can I do this while in the bootloader?
Should I take any additional precautions attempting the process from W8-x64?
EDIT: It seems I need another phone to put the microSD on so I can get the correct CID with RevSkills (apparently you need the device to be connected through the MobileDeviceCenter or it fails). Then I may be able to ask someone else to get me a goldcard for said CID.

I remember there being tutorials for making a goldcard, that need to have a microSD adapter only, no other device, and others that tell you how to get cid from an android phone.that doesn't require PSAS like in the tutorial you're following

I got an adapter I can put in my old PDA and get the microSD CID. @Gilbert, can you prepare Goldcard images? In the tutorial there are some users mentioned that are supposed to do it, can you recommend any of them so I can ask them for it? Thanks in advance

making goldcard is easy...
i remember getting cid and writing it reversed to http://huygens.hoxnet.com/goldcard.html (choose reversed cid iirc), downloading goldcard.img, opening sd with some hex editor (hxd i recommend) and writing goldcard.img content to it
you should read the tutorials available online, as what i said could be a lot wrong

I have tried to flash the phone with the Goldcard through this method. I am wondering wether I should expect something different after the bootloader starts, because I just get to the same point as I did when trying to flash it without the Goldcard, and getting the same failed "update terminate / update fail" message. Maybe I did not prepare the Goldcard well. Or maybe the phone mainboard ROM/NAND is simply ruined :crying:
I have to assume that the radio must be bricked. From what I read, this is the only thing that can actually brick your device when you still can get to the tricolored bootloader. Everytime I try to flash a ROM, it fails while flashing the Radio, so there has to be a hardware problem that prevents it. I still wonder how that happened.
I was running JellyTime, and then all of the sudden the phone froze and then just didn't turn on again (blank white screen). Can overheating ruin the NAND or ROM? Should I consider this battle as lost? I am so disappointed...
I read about one user who concluded that all you can do is flash a ROM with no radio, and keep the phone only as an Android device (no phone use). He told me I should get a dev or cooker to cook a radio-less ROM so I can do that. Does anyone know if there's a ROM like this I could use?
